LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)– It’s a story we first told you about last month. A dog found beaten and abused. Now Metro Animal Services is offering a reward in the case!

In late February, a black and white pit bull terrier mix was rescued after Animal Control officers found she had severe trauma to the head, as well as other injuries.

She was found on Frel Road in the Valley Station area of Louisville. The Shamrock Arrow Fund stepped in to help the dog and named her “Blessing”.

Officials say she had a severe skull fracture and was shot in the head four times by a pellet gun.

“Anyone who could kick this dog as hard as they could with their foot and not make that kind of skull fracture, so they thought it was from an object like a baseball bat or a stick,” Rebecca Eaves, Director of the Shamrock Arrow Fund told WDRB in February.

The Humane Society of the United States has partnered with MAS to offer a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
