SICKENING; Animal Abuser Left Puppy In A Paper Bag In Empire Damansara Carpark With Broken Legs And Mouth Taped

Comments Off on SICKENING; Animal Abuser Left Puppy In A Paper Bag In Empire Damansara Carpark With Broken Legs And Mouth Taped

“I am appalled, sickend & saddened that someone could do this to such a tiny 3 month old dog. What kind of sick psycho, capable of doing such an evil thing, can manage to walk amongst us; undetected?? This poor little puppy couldn’t hurt a fly it’s so small. The bloody Empire Damansara should be willing to hand over CCTV of the car park where the dog was found! In fact, you would think they would find this such an atrocity that they would be offering any help they can; but they don’t seem to give a rats ass about it! I’m just thankful that an animal lover found this tiny pooch & took action. Please go to the Face Book page below to show your support & help catch the abomination that tortured this tiny dog!”

Details Published on Wednesday, 29 June 2016 12:48

In the same week that news about a female dog nursing its puppies was found shot dead in Muar, Johor, in Damansara Perdana, a puppy with its legs broken and mouth taped was found in the Empire Damansara parking lot.

Luckily, the puppy was rescued by the hands of an animal lover, who posted details about the condition of the three-month-old frail animal found on June 22.

The user named Vicky Liew relayed on her Facebook how she and her friend came to find the puppy that was left in a paper bag.

The rescuers only discovered later on the puppy, a good Pomeranian breed, had lost its legs when taking it to the vet.

“This poor dog had been abused because both front legs were purposely broken by inhuman people!! Stay strong puppy!!!,” Vicky wrote.

How could anyone do this??

She then tried to hunt down the culprits who abused the puppy by reporting to the management in hopes they were able to track them down through the CCTV footage, however she reported that Empire Damansara was not being cooperative on the matter.

This is just heartbreaking!

“Write on Empire Damansara page to urge them to cooperate so the people who are working on this case can lodge a report to the Department Of Veterinary Services. Keep it viral and keep it going,” she urged the public after sharing it on Dog Lovers of Malaysia group.

FaceBook page:https://www.facebook.com/groups/dogloversmsia/

The latest updates on the rescued puppy, now named Summer, is living in a new home with loving owner Sim Kian Theng, and shows that the animal had been discharged from the hospital and is recovering well.

“She will be healing soon! I need strong mentality!!! I committed 24hrs care for her!!!,” wrote Sim.

Kudos to good Samaritans like Sim and Vicky, however thus far, no updates have been shared regarding the Empire Damansara management lodging a report against animal abusers, nor statement of them taking action on the case, as well as increasing security in their parking lots with adequate CCTV footage, despite the complaints by netizens and fellow residents.

Last year, the Malaysian government passed the Animal Welfare Act 2015 – a new comprehensive Act with fines 100 times heavier for animal abuse cases. Offenders now face a minimum fine of RM20,000 and possible jail time.

Who would do this? Animal Control Officer seeks culprit in animal cruelty case

“People who can do this sort of thing to an animal, are clearly born without the part of the brain that makes the majority of us appalled at such horrific sites. I do hope they found whoever did this, fast. If you think you know who the dog belongs to, please contact the information below the picture, thank you!”

Metter Animal Shelter is looking for tips of the person or persons responsible for wrapping duct tape around this dog’s head.

The dog was found on the Stillmore Hwy. Monday morning. Metter Fire and Rescue assisted with removing the chain and duct tape.

“I can’t deny shedding tears for these little ones, chained up in tiny boxes, they can’t even turn around in; before their short lives end at the slaughter plant! These sentient beings may be, just a by product, but they still deserve to be treated with kindness & respect…it doesn’t cost anything to show empathy etc. Animals are far more humane than humans are & always will be!

“As with all animals, especially those that are raised for human consumption; at the very least, surely they deserve to have the 5 Freedom acts adhered to. The five freedoms that no animal kept by humans for whatever reason; should ever be without, it’s not much to ask for, is it?

  1. freedom from hunger and thirst
  2. freedom from discomfort (shelter from heat and rain)
  3. freedom from pain, injury and disease
  4. freedom to express normal behaviour (without inconveniencing or harming others)
  5.  freedom from fear and distress.

NONE OF THE ABOVE FREEDOM ACTS APPLY TO THESE CALVES; NOR DO THEY FOR OTHER FARM ANIMALS RAISED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION. THE  CONDITIONS THEY ARE FORCED TO LIVE IN, ARE QUITE FRANKLY HORRIFIC, DESPICABLE & APPALLINGLY CRUEL…THIS IS 2014! CRATED CRUELTY….SIMPLY TORTURE CHAMBERS FOR BABIES; WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT IN THE DARK AGES….PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION & SHARE WITH ALL…WE MUST JOIN TOGETHER & RAISE OUR VOICES; WE MUST HELP CHANGE THE WAY FARM ANIMALS  ARE KEPT & SLAUGHTERED!!

From December to February 2014, a Mercy For Animals Canada investigator worked at a Délimax veal factory farm in Pont-Rouge, Quebec. Our hidden camera captured horrific animal cruelty and neglect, including:

  • Calves crammed into feces-covered wooden boxes barely larger than their own bodies
  • Baby animals chained by the neck, unable to even turn around or lie down comfortably for their entire lives
  • Animals driven mad from boredom and stress, denied even their most basic natural behaviours
  • Workers violently kicking, punching, and tormenting baby animals
  • Animals painfully stuck in the wooden slats of their crates
  • Sick and injured animals left to suffer and slowly die in their own filth without proper veterinary care

EXPERT OPINIONS

After reviewing the undercover footage, Dr. John Webster, Professor of Animal Husbandry at the University of Bristol, and Europe’s leading expert on dairy cattle welfare, stated: “In all my experience, this is the worst, cruellest system that I have ever seen, in every sense, housing, health and stockmanship. [T]he system as seen on the video is now illegal in Europe, both in regard to individual housing, and denial of access to solid feed containing sufficient digestible fibre.”

Dr. Sara Shields agreed, concluding: “Veal crates are the epitome of a poor animal housing system, and it is almost shocking to see them still being used… Studies have shown that calves tethered in stalls have higher physiological stress responses than those kept in groups or in pairs.”

DITCH VEAL, DITCH DAIRY

Veal is a direct by-product of the dairy industry. Since they will never produce milk, male calves born into the dairy industry are ripped away from their mothers’ sides shortly after birth and end up in veal factory farms like this one.

These calves spend their short, wretched lives languishing in their own waste inside a tiny wooden box. They never get to see the sun, breathe fresh air, feel the grass beneath their feet, walk, run, play, or do anything that makes life worth living. Their short lives are filled with misery, violence, and deprivation.

Although cruelty and violence are standard practice for Canada’s veal industry, caring consumers can help end the needless suffering of calves and other farmed animals by choosing a compassionate vegan diet.

“If you cant go fully vegan then help by trying to be a vegetarian & don’t drink milk (It’s made for animals offspring, not humans) drink soya milk instead. I drink Soya milk, Almond & Hazelnut are my favourites. They taste great to drink when cold & have quite a sweet taste (ditch the sugar) so it’s great in coffee & on cereals. Think about it, do you really want to be a party to the horrific & abusive ways, theses sentient little babies are kept in? Would you deny them the right to be with their mother’s??  Many people think being vegetarian means eating nut cutlets, rice & beans; personally I hate that type of stuff. Whatever recipes that require meat, can be made just as well with Quorn.  Go to my Pinterest site to see recipes made with Quorn & also the pre-made Quorn burgers, mince, chicken etc. The Linda  McCartney range of meat free foods are also delicious, especially the sausages! My daughter isn’t vegan or vegetarian like me; but she eats what I do; with no complaints because she finds it so tasty!

CRATE CRITICS

[T]he system as seen on the video is now illegal in Europe, both in regard to individual housing, and denial of access to solid feed containing sufficient digestible fibre.”

John Webster, PhD

“Cows are highly intelligent and sentient, feeling beings, and it’s clear that the calves in this video are suffering. Deep fear and pain can be seen in their eyes and in their behavior. Calves are just as sentient as dogs – we would never tolerate such abuse inflicted upon a dog.”

Marc Bekoff, PhD

“Psychologically, the isolation and restricted movement [of veal crates] thwarts the calves need to suckle from their dam, prevents social interaction with their mother and with other calves, severely limits mental stimulation and investigative behavior, and disallows any sort of play.”

Debi Zimmermann, DVM

“Veal stalls… we need to get rid of, plain and simple.”

Temple Grandin, PhD

“This video provides clear evidence of deliberate institutionalized animal abuse in Canada’s veal industry. Veal calves are shown imprisoned in narrow stalls on slatted floors. Many animals are chained so tightly that they can barely move or can only perform a few short movements, which they do repeatedly.”

John Sorenson, PhD

“No animal should be so physically limited in its’ movement. The calf can stand or lie in one place only. He can’t turn around, lick his back, or stretch out. The chain around his neck ensures that he can’t lie down flat (something that calves do naturally). Not surprisingly, stereotypies are common. ”

THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION IS FAILING EUROPEAN ANIMALS

Comments Off on THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION IS FAILING EUROPEAN ANIMALS

When meat is imported into the European Union the law stipulates that the animal must have been slaughtered in line with EU legislation.

However, when EU animals are exported, the same rules are not afforded to them and instead they can face brutal treatment and long drawn out slaughter.

Every year three million European animals are sent on long, stressful journeys to be fattened or slaughtered outside the EU. A vast number of these go to the Middle East where Compassion’s recent investigation, in partnership with Animals Australia, has uncovered immeasurable suffering.

Please take a moment to watch the film and slideshow below to find out more about this deplorable trade. Be warned; some of the film is distressing to watch, but it’s essential concerned citizens find out where European animals are ending their journeys.

Take action against the EU’s cruel live animal export trade

Watch, share and take action herehttp://goo.gl/tEQQ2R

Please take a moment to watch and share our investigation. Warning: Due to its upsetting nature, you may need to verify that you are over 18 to watch the film.

When European farm animals are exported to non-EU countries every shred of protection they once received in their place of birth is rendered meaningless.

After enduring long, exhausting journeys by land and sea they may face terrifying ordeals at slaughter.

Animals are dragged by their limbs, bound up with ropes, pinned down by groups of men, beaten with metal rods, suspended upside down for extended periods of time, and eventually slaughtered in unacceptable ways that leave them conscious for many minutes after having their throats cut.

The European Commission has the power to take steps to stop this, but as each day passes without action more and more animals continue to suffer.

  • The European Commission must work towards ending the live export trade and if necessary replacing it with a trade in meat.
  • While a trade in exporting live animals continues, the European Commission must implement a scheme that will guarantee exported animals are treated in ways that prevent the worst of the suffering.
  • The European Commission must provide practical support to countries that import live animals from the EU in order that they can improve transport, handling and slaughter methods. This will not only improve the welfare of EU animals but also of any other animals slaughtered in those countries.

Please take action today. Email the Commission and call for an end to this suffering.

Upsetting VIDEO: Fury over beating of horse with a stick

Comments Off on Upsetting VIDEO: Fury over beating of horse with a stick

“It is not the animal tied up; it’s the one doing the beating that is the animal….SICK POS….I would love to do the same to the aggressor. Arabian horses are noted for their flowing gate, & overall beauty; I would love to own one! It pains me deeply to see this sickening POS treat the horse in such a sadistic manner; I don’t know if the horse survived or not! I pray they are caught & given the appropriate sentence!!”

Anger is growing after video footage has emerged of a man striking a horse on the forehead with a stick, causing it to collapse.
Warning footage is upsetting – Men Laugh As One Strikes An Arabian Horse
Published on 15 Feb 2014

The perpetrator is seen to be laughing following the incident, as the horse appears to struggle to regain its feet.

The footage is believed to be of two Saudi men, according to reports. At the time of writing, nearly 500,000 people had viewed the footage on YouTube.

The animal was tied to a power pole when the incident occurred.

The reaction in Saudi Arabia has been swift, with efforts under way to identify those responsible.

The footage has been circulated widely online, with many Saudis demanding that those responsible be brought to justice.

Emir Abdelaziz Ben Saad Ben Jouli, a horse breeder in the Al-Ahsa region in the country’s east, is among those seeking the arrest of the men.

“I’ve put my telephone number on Twitter, asking people who have any information about these individuals to come forward so that the police can arrest them,” he was reported as saying on The Observers website.

“I was appalled when I saw the video. I can’t understand how anyone can treat a horse – or any other animalwith such cruelty.

“I have already contacted a lawyer in order to launch legal proceedings against these people. All I want is for them to be sent to prison so that they understand the gravity of their actions and, above all, serve as a warning for others,” he said.

“This act is even more incomprehensible given that the horse, especially the pure-bred Arabian, is a very respected and pampered animal here.”

Arabian horses played a major role in the unification of Saudi Arabia, he said. King Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia’s first monarch, and his men criss-crossed the country on the back of Arabian horse as they fought to unite the country at the start of the 20th century.

Twitter users have created the hashtag #محاسبة_معذبي_الحصان (“punishment for the horse’s torturers”).

Dog Tied To A Tree With Garden Hose, Now Has Chance To Live

Comments Off on Dog Tied To A Tree With Garden Hose, Now Has Chance To Live

“Obviously it doesn’t take a genius to understand that the person who left this poor dog; did so because they couldn’t be bothered with it any more. Obviously never heard of animal groups that would have taken it in. They are merely cold hearted bastards; using up oxygen intended for decent people. Please contact police if you have any information!”

When Kaleigh Wetrich went for a walk with friends along the wooded area in north Oak Cliff County, Dallas, Texas, she never expected to find an abandoned dog, but she did.

The 6- to 8-month-old Boxer mix was emaciated and cruelly tied to a tree with a garden hose. He was deliberately left there to die.

Wetrich heard a faint bark coming from the woods. She followed the noise and found the innocent dog.

“I can’t just leave a living creature to die like that,” Wetrich told Fox News.

According to authorities, the dog that now goes by name Lucky was probably abandoned in the forest for at least a week prior to being found. Local rescue group, Apollo Rescue, saved Lucky as soon as Wetrich reported the incident.

Lucky was tied with a heavy garden hose and there was no food or water left for him. Rescuers say that he was close to organ failure but luckily he was found in time to save his life.

According to Steve Basham of Apollo Rescue, Lucky has a chance at survival. The rescue group is caring for the canine while local authorities try to build a case against the dog’s previous owner.

Finding whoever abandoned Lucky in the woods and charging the person(s) with animal cruelty will be a difficult task. The dog was left in a field with no address and there are no witnesses to this event.

Authorities encourage anyone with information to this crime to come forward.

Video: Tethered Duct-Taped Bait Dog Found Tied To Fence

“WTF…It never ceases to amaze me just how cruel humans can be; it is we humans that are the animals!. Somebody knows who this dog belonged to, they don’t just bloody appear from know where.  Please, If anybody knows anything about this case, please do the right thing & inform those below. Please keep this sweet dog in your prayers; so that he may make a full recovery. His leg may have to be removed but lets hope he will come through this & find a forever home!”

A one-year-old pit bull was rescued in Kentucky after having been found tied to a fence with his snout duct-taped shut. A reward is being offered for information on who did this.

Duct-Taped severely wounded, Frodo was found tied to fence

It is believed he was being used as a bait dog because he is covered in bite marks.

He clearly, in my opinion, was a bait dog and this is not the first time being thrown into a ring,” said Rebecca Eaves, director of The Arrow Fund. “Basically, a dog got him here, broke his canines and pushed them in.”

The pup, now named Frodo, is being treated at the Blue Pearl Animal Hospital, where he is being pumped full of antibiotics and painkillers. One of his legs will have to be amputated because of injuries, but staff say he’s lucky to be alive.

“It’s a shame what they do to these animals, and I’m emotional because I’m sick of this,” Eaves said. “This is a sweet, sweet puppy, that was just shown a life of horror.”

Frodo was found on the 2600 block of West Kentucky Street in Louisville. Investigators have no idea who tied him to the fence, and are urging the public to come forward.

“Right now, we want to plead to the community,” said Donald Robinson with Louisville Metro Animal Services. “You can remain anonymous. Please call our tip line, let us know if you’ve seen anything, if you’ve seen this particular animal out in that particular neighbourhood.”

The Humane Society of the United States is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) involved.

We want to put this person behind bars,” Eaves stated. “Dog-fighting is rampant here in Louisville and everybody needs to be serious about it. Don’t be afraid. Turn them in.”

Video: Live Goat Exports Exposed

Comments Off on Video: Live Goat Exports Exposed

“All animals deserve respect & kindness, none more so than those who are raised, then killed for human consumption!

Few Australians would realise that right now, in rural areas across the country, wild goats are being rounded up, packed in crates, and exported for slaughter. Even fewer have ever seen inside this trade.

Last month, Animals Australia conducted our first ever investigation in Malaysia — Australia’s largest live export market for goats. Once again, we discovered that the new live export ‘rules’ are being blatantly disregarded. And as a result, animals have been left totally exposed to cruel treatment.

Across 6 facilities in Malaysia, goats were filmed being roughly handled; stuffed into bags and car boots; and sold into unapproved facilities — often with their ear tags removed to conceal this clear breach of export regulations.

Like so many animals in the live trade, in their final moments of life, these goats had their throats cut whilst still consciousYou won’t witness such graphic vision in this video, but you will feel their pain, sense their fear and hear their cries.

This week Minister for Agriculture, Joe Ludwig, claimed that “99%” of exported animals are treated “humanely”. “What a load of shit!!” This could not be further from the truth. With a government and opposition who unwaveringly defend this trade, with regulations fundamentally failing to protect animals everywhere we look, it would appear that live exporters are getting away with 99% of the cruelty in this trade.

But with your help, we can ensure they can’t get away with it anymore. Every investigation, every email and phone call to a politician — every action you take — brings us a step closer to ending this trade in cruelty.

Please send an urgent message to our political leaders, calling on them to spare animals from such cruelty, by supporting a ban on live export.

Duct taped cat left in LA parking lot recuperating at Baldwin Park shelter

Comments Off on Duct taped cat left in LA parking lot recuperating at Baldwin Park shelter

WTF…CAT TRAUMATIZED BY SICK CRUELTY…WHY???

Just when you think you have seen the worst animal cruelty cases, another one comes out of the woodwork even sicker.

How cruel can anyone be? Amigo was found like this and left in a box in a parking lot

On Thursday morning, a shelter worker at the County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control discovered a box outside of the Baldwin Park parking lot. When he opened the box, it was a cat whose mouth, nose, and paws had been tied with red duct tape.

According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the shelter worker, Abraham Contreras discovered the cat and brought the two-year-old male domestic short hair cat into the shelter where the duct tape was removed.

The cat was gasping for breath, and although quite scared and timid, he is now making progress in his rehabilitation.

Named Amigo by his rescuers, the lucky cat will be placed in a foster home until he is ready for adoption.

DACC Director Marcia Mayeda stated:

“I can’t imagine why someone would do this to a cat. Animal cruelty is heartbreaking, intolerable and usually a precursor to human violence.

Follow Amigo’s progress on Facebook by clicking here.Amigo does look quite angry, but then who can blame him. Get well soon .

Woman Who Tied Dog’s Mouth Shut Found Guilty Of Animal Cruelty

Comments Off on Woman Who Tied Dog’s Mouth Shut Found Guilty Of Animal Cruelty

YPSILANTI TWP. (WWJ) – A Ypsilanti Township woman who admitted to tying her dog’s mouth shut with twine so he couldn’t eat has been found guilty in the case.

Crystal Smith, the dog’s owner, was found guilty of animal cruelty March 21 in 14B District Court. She’s due back in court for sentencing on May 2.

The Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) said the Alaskan Husky was severely underweight and dehydrated when he was taken from Smith in August. An investigation into Smith’s treatment of the animal began after a neighbour reported that the dog, which was kept on a chain outside, got loose.

Officials brought the emaciated dog to HSHV, where authorities discovered a large wound on his side. Smith later admitted the his injuries were from a burn, but asserted in court that the burns “just showed up one day.” Smith also admitted in court that she tied the dog’s mouth shut with twine, making him unable to eat.

“This was a really clear case of animal cruelty and we are grateful to the prosecutor and judge for seeing the gravity of this dog’s suffering. Animal cruelty is a serious crime and we want to make sure people who intentionally hurt animals pay for their crimes,” Matt Schaecher, HSHV Director of Animal Cruelty, said in a statement.

HSHV officials say the dog, who has lived at the shelter for 216 days, gained eight pounds in his first eight days at the facility. He also received extensive medical treatment for his injuries and other health problems related to neglect.

“Our staff and volunteers have done a fantastic job of protecting him, healing him and keeping him comfortable during a very long stay. This is a great dog and his suffering is through no fault of his own. He deserves a chance at a happy life,” Tanya Hilgendorf, HSHV CEO, said in a statement.

Now healthy and healed, the Husky is going up for adoption and looking for a family that will give him the love and care he deserves. For information on adoption, visit www.HSHV.org or call 734-661-3511.
