SMITHFIELD, N.C. (WTVD) — A Johnston County man is behind bars for allegedly having sex with his dog.

According to search warrants obtained by ABC11, David Lee Carter of Benson was arrested on several counts of crimes against nature along with indecent liberties with a child.

They say Carter “will-fully and feloniously did commit the abominable and detestable crime against nature with a male canine, family pet named ‘Drake‘, (one and half year old Boxer.)”

Deputies told ABC11 they began investigating the 25 year old on Tuesday. They said Carter is charged with indecent liberties because he allegedly had sex with the dog in front of a child.

Carter was in the Johnston County jail.

A Proposed Law Would Handle Animal Abusers Appropriately Without it: It’s A Judges Choice!

” Everybody should read this…especially those in the position of dealing with animals abusers!! I was always told ‘Prevention is better than cure’. So to prevent a crime in the future, one has to deal with the culprit in the here & now! But the Judicial system is not dealing with animal abusers/killers as they should…why not?”

“It would also help if there was a National Animal Abuse database!  Animal abusers could well be future killers…so stop with the ‘slap on the wrist & the suspended sentences’ they do jack shit to prevent the culprit committing future crimes…as is well known & documented. The man who is charged with setting fire to a cat in Bucks County must be severely punished for such a heinous crime (“Bucks man accused of burning cat can keep 2d,” Feb. 2). In addition, he must be prevented from having any contact with any other animals, even if it means depriving his son of another kitten that has been living in the home.

Animal abuse is an ominous sign. In Deadly Serious, which offers an FBI perspective on animal cruelty, Special Agent Alan Brantley recounted numerous profiles of violent criminals who had histories of animal abuse. From interviews with other agents, he found that about half of those in prison for murder had maimed and tortured animals while youths. And almost all serial killers abused animals as children. 

The psychological literature is replete with major studies that have identified the animal/human violence link. When animals are abused, people are at risk. The man who kicks the dog is just warming up. Nine of 10 abusers are male. A batterer’s first victim is often a pet. Among the men involved in both animal and human violence, the most common charges were domestic violence and child abuse. These inseparable forms of abuse must be fought as one battle.

Animal abuse is a national tragedy. We suffer from a myopia regarding the far-reaching implication. The time for corrective measures is overdue. I would suggest a nationwide campaign aimed at treating animal abuse as the serious crime it is. Until the abusers are treated like the criminals they are, we won’t change society’s attitude about the unspeakable nature of this pernicious behaviour. Animal abuse is a warning sign to be heeded. It is not a trivial matter.

Brantley emphasizes the need for stronger anti-cruelty laws and more aggressive enforcement. In a survey commissioned by the Humane Society of the United States in 1997, more than 80 percent of the respondents favoured this concept.

Also, psychiatric intervention is fundamental. Animal cruelty may indicate a family in need of professional help. It may be a symptom of a deeply disturbed family.

The tangled web of animal abuse cannot be isolated. Eighteenth-century philosopher Immanuel Kant said, “He who is cruel to animals become hard also in his dealings with men.” Animal abuse often opens the door to persistent antisocial behaviour toward humans. One’s environment does not excuse this behaviour; it only explains it.

Now we have children killing children. Too often, these youngsters show early and prolific histories of animal abuse. Anthropologist Margaret Mead said, “One of the most dangerous things that can happen to a child is to kill or torture an animal and get away with it.” Stepping in at an early point may very well break the vicious cycle of family violence.

I would urge all Pennsylvanians to contact their state senators and urge passage of House Bill 709, which has already won unanimous approval in the House. The bill, now before the full Senate for a vote, would strengthen the state’s animal-cruelty law in two ways:

Anyone convicted of cruelty to a cat or dog for a second or subsequent time would be guilty of a third-degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail and a $2,500 fine. Now, each cat- or dog-cruelty offence is considered a summary violation, punishable by up to 90 days in prison and a $300 fine.

Upon sentencing, the trial judge would be empowered to prohibit or limit the offender from owning, controlling or having custody of animals – or to prevent his or her employment in the business of animal care.

These restrictions could be imposed for the statutory maximum term of imprisonment applicable to the offence  even if the offender were sentenced to less than the full term. Now, such restrictions, as in the case of the Bucks County case, can be imposed by a judge only as a condition of bail.

This law would send another firm message that society will not tolerate animal abusers.

An animal-hater is spiking sausages with nails to scatter them on playing fields for dogs.

Police issued a warning today after dog walkers discovered the sausages embedded with nails as their pets sniffed the deadly treats.

The dog hater littered a popular dog-walking spot in Abergavenny, South Wales, with cooked cocktail sausages, each one spiked with nine metal nails pushed inside.

Vet Ben Hynes was warned about the cruel campaign of terror by concerned dog owners.

Mr Hynes said: ‘I was shocked and appalled at what I was shown. ‘Had it not been for these extremely observant people out walking their own dogs, we could have easily seen a spate of dogs facing a slow, but certain death.

‘Luckily we haven’t had any emergencies but if we had, the animals would have been suffering from vomiting, bleeding and I have no doubt the result would have been fatal.

‘There is absolutely no way that this can be anything other than the intention to kill animals.’ One shocked dog walker, who asked not to be named, said he noticed the sun reflecting off a nail in one of the sausages.

He said: ‘My dog, which was on a lead, started to sniff at a sausage on the ground, but I immediately pulled him back when I saw something shining back at me.

‘On closer inspection I realised that it had about nine or ten nails in it and thought that this was no coincidence as I was aware of a similar incident in the past involving shards of glass.

‘I looked around and found a lot more of these sausages – I must have collected close to 40. ‘I appreciate not everybody likes dogs, but to react in this manner is not the way to deal with the problem.

‘I have been extra diligent while out walking my dogs since as I believe it would have caused a slow death in the animal.’

The issue has been raised with police and warnings were sent to dog owners in the area through the Neighbourhood Watch and local vets.

A police spokesman said: ‘This is a very worrying incident, especially as they are being left on playing fields where not only dogs but children could be harmed by these sausages.‘

Police: Glendale Woman Stabs Dog Several Times Near Eyes

A 42-year-old Glendale woman faces animal cruelty charges after she stabbed her Shiba Inu dog multiple times around its eyes while she was high on cough syrup, authorities said. “Jesus, what the hell does her cough syrup contain?? 

Merry Jane Clift pleaded not guilty Wednesday to one felony count of animal cruelty after the alleged attack on her dog, “Huckleberry,” on Dec. 28, according to a Los Angeles County Superior Court criminal complaint.

The dog, which is in stable condition and “doing quite well,” is under quarantine at the Pasadena Humane Society, where the eye wounds were treated, spokeswoman Ricky Whitman said.

“It’s a very sad situation,” she said, adding that the dog was in a safe area away from the public. “Lets all pray this little guy pulls through from hid horrific ordeal”

Animal control officials are looking for a behaviorist to work with the dog, which appears to be depressed and withdrawn due to the trauma, Whitman said. She added that animal control officials were working with the dog, which she described as “very nice,” to make sure its stay at the shelter was as comfortable as possible. “Poor little guy, I would be bloody traumatized if someone stabbed me in the head!”

“The dog will not be returned to this woman,” she said.

Clift was arrested about 2:14 a.m. Dec. 28 after police arrived at a building in the 100 block of Carr Drive. A neighbour told police Clift was banging on her apartment door and begging residents to kill her, according to Glendale police. “They should have carried out her request!”

When police walked into the apartment building, they noticed a trail of blood to Clift’s apartment. Then the small brown dog stumbled up a set of stairs and stopped in front of the officers, who noticed several deep cuts on its face.

Clift, meanwhile, was sitting on the hallway floor of her apartment, police said. There they allegedly found a bloodied kitchen knife with a 10-inch blade and blood throughout the apartment.

Clift allegedly told officers that she had slept only two hours that night when she woke up and began stabbing her dog in the face with the knife. “Well it’s not the normal thing to do when you wake up in the night, usually it’s for a pee…Besides who the hell takes a 10″ Kitchen knife to bed with them? This woman is obviously cuckoo & needs locking up for the protection of others!”

She claimed to be going through a difficult time due to child custody issues, but later recanted her story and claimed not to remember what happened due to a psychotic episode, police said. “We all go through tough times but don’t wake up & stab our bloody dogs..she is crazy!”

Clift was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty and was taken to Glendale Adventist Medical Center, where hospital officials discovered a possible dog bite on her left arm, police said. “Well I would expect her to have more dog bites, the poor thing was defending himself…I just hope she doesn’t turn this around & say she did it because she woke up & was being attacked by the dog!”

Whitman said an out-of-state family member of Clift’s has shown interest in the dog, but animal control officials are working with police to authorize any moves. “That’s a bad move, if the dog goes to a family friend, she could see it whenever she feels like it…it should be adopted into a new loving home, where it can recover from the trauma Clift caused it!”

Child abuse and endangerment charges were filed against Clift in January 2012 in a separate case, which is still pending, according to Los Angeles County Superior Court records. She also faces public intoxication charges stemming from cases filed in December 2011 and January 2012, according to court records. “Ahhh, it’s all coming out now, this woman is a danger to society & should be jailed!”

Clift, who listed her profession as a writer in police records, remained jailed Thursday afternoon in lieu of a $40,000 bond, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

She is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 10 to set a date for her preliminary hearing. “Fingers crossed she is locked up, but going on past cases, she will probably get her hands slapped…I have lost all faith in the judicial system…the public should be protected from people like this, not bump into them at the pub!”

Bond Increased For Camp Lejeune Marine Arrested For Crimes Against Nature

Deputies say on November 15th a Jones County CPS Deputy received information from both a concerned citizen and Onslow County DSS that accused the Marine of inappropriate sexual behaviour with neighbourhood dogs.

He’s also accused of viewing internet pornography in the presence of his minor children.

TRENTON, N.C. – A Camp Lejeune Marine is behind bars for crimes against nature.

30-year-old Marc David Harpel of Maysville, was arrested and charged with seven (7) counts of Crimes Against Nature (F), and seven (7) counts of solicitation for crimes against nature (M).

He made his first court appearance Friday. Harpel’s bond was increased from $14,000 to $25,000.  More charges are pending for the Marine.

Investigation into the allegations is ongoing.

 Child pornography charges against a Nova Scotia photographer has been dismissed because police took too long to examine his computer.

However, New Glasgow resident Earle MacDonald is now accused of a different sex crime.

Police seized MacDonald’s photography equipment and computers in Feb. 2011.

He was charged with possessing, accessing and distributing child pornography four months later.

The computers were sent to a police lab for a full analysis, but it took 15 months before the forensic report was ready.

The courts say that is simply too long and today Nova Scotia’s Internet Prosecution team dismissed the charges due to unreasonable delay.

“But really this was a matter of, not if this could happen, but when this was going to happen,” says Crown attorney Craig Botterill.

“This is just the symptom of the growing pains in this particular field of law enforcement. The proliferation of Internet crimes against children is something we’re all struggling with keeping up with.”

Botterill says police resources have increased since the charges were laid and this kind of decision should not happen again.

MacDonald offered little comment as he left the Pictou courtroom Thursday, but his lawyer says the judge’s message to the police lab is clear.

“When computers are sent to them for analysis, they must deal with it,” says Rob Sutherland.

MacDonald was issued a stay of proceedings on the child pornography charges just before the hearing Thursday morning.

However, he was also charged with an additional offence – one count of bestiality.

“The language of the charge itself alleges that this was sex between the accused and a dog,” says Botterill.

MacDonald is due back in court Dec. 17 to answer to the bestiality charge.

Accused of making indecent child images

“WTF…its all getting a bit too much now…again this is predominantly about child abuse but do you see how child abuse & bestiality go hand  in hand…it’s so common, one can almost guarantee that if someone has or is about to abuse a child, they will have raped an animal first…sadistic Neanderthals. A Long Sutton man has appeared in court charged with making and possessing indecent images of children. 

Michal Jasiak (40), of High Street, Long Sutton, faces 12 charges in total involving children aged 11 and 12 years old.

The images include those graded as the most severe ‘level five’ category, defined as sadism or bestiality. “Do you know how much I want to punch this computer screen right now? if I could afford it, it would have been smashed along time ago…this just makes me want to hurl…so why do I post them? So that those that live around the bastard are aware, that’s why…remember the name!!”

Jasiak is charged with three counts of making a ‘level one’ image of a child, three counts of making a ‘level two’ image, one count of making a ‘level three’ image, three counts of making a ‘level four’ image, and one count of making a ‘level five’ image.

He is also accused of possessing 36 images of a child – ten ‘level one’, ten ‘level two’, two ‘level three’, and 14 ‘level four’.

All the offences are alleged to have taken place in King’s Lynn between June 1 last year and April 1, 2012.

Jasiak appeared at West Norfolk Magistrates’ Court on Friday and only spoke to confirm his name and address.

The case was committed to Norwich Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on December 7th. “Don’t worry I will watch out for this name!”

He was released on conditional bail until then. “Jesus Christ, why not give him a job in  a nursery while they wait…do these people have no F-ing brains?? These people are hooked, it’s a habit & they need regular fixes. If he gets the chance he will be up to his old tricks…as soon as he gets the chance. He may be a bit more wary but what’s to stop him getting his kicks some other way

Cumbrian Man 25, Jailed For Child & Animal Porn

“Yet another sexual predator of the worst kind, these malevolent creatures have no thought or feeling for anyone or anything. They certainly have no empathy for little children; so harming animals is of no consequence to them. Many psychiatric reports state, that these depraved minds, start off by abusing animals.  Putting these perverts on the Sexual Register is of course warranted, children need the highest protection there is, nothing is more sacred than the innocence of a child!”

“Of course, animals need protecting too, sentient beings, voiceless, innocent, the perfect victims…they also need protecting from these corrupt & harmful degenerates. The police use the Sex offenders list to keep an eye on would be molesters etc. Why couldn’t the police use the same tactics to catch these degenerates with animals, convict them, give them a taste of Jail…then hopefully the offender would have been saved in time, before they turn to children…who knows!

A man who downloaded and stored videos and more than 1,500 indecent images of child and animal pornography featuring “real exploitation of the grossest form” has been sent to prison.

Samuel William Clark, 25, of Salterbeck Drive, Workington, pleaded guilty to all 26 charges, including three of possessing images of the highest severity and two of possessing extreme pornography videos featuring animals.

On June 25 of this year police executed a search warrant and seized a laptop, computer and mobile phone belonging to Clark, as well as a number of storage disks.

They discovered more than 1,500 images that Clark had downloaded from file sharing programmes and internet searches.

Defence barrister Greg Hoare said that Clark downloaded and viewed the images “because he was getting bored” and that he was not aroused by them.

The images included pornography of severity levels one to five of children under 13, severity levels one to five of children under 16, and several videos.

Sentencing, Judge Paul Batty said told Clark: “The material featured exploitation of children, some under the age of five. “Certain people should just be extinguished”

“Unusually, you had gone to the trouble of downloading a considerable amount of it onto disks and that is an added aspect. “He was probably planning to sell them”

“The fact that you were in possession of extreme pornography, the likes of which many people will never have viewed, means I am unable to suspend the prison sentence.”

Clark was sentenced to 12 months in prison, given a sexual prevention order for an indefinite term to prevent him having access to the internet, prohibited from having unsupervised contact with anyone under 16, disqualified from working with children and put on the sex offenders register for 10 years. “Where is the ‘ Not allowed to own animals’??

A man is accused of being brutally honest during a job interview with Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) employees in early July.

Cody Slaughter, 22, allegedly told Border Patrol workers that he molested a 2-year-old girl eight years ago, and had “sexual contact” with a pig, dog and horse, according to KPHO.

The Yuma County, Ariz., Sheriff’s Office said it got a call from CBP on July 2 about Slaughter’s alleged admissions, according to the Phoenix New Times.

The sheriff’s office said Slaughter “confirmed that his previous statements were true and accurate,” the New Times reports.

Slaughter was arrested on charges of one count of criminal sexual conduct with a minor when he was 14 and three counts of bestiality between 2004 and 2012, but he was released on July 10 because the Yuma County Attorney’s Office had not yet filed criminal charges against him, according to ABC News.

But that doesn’t mean Slaughter is off the hook.

Justice of the Peace Jorge Lozano said the case has been sent back to the Sheriff’s Office for further investigation and charges could still be filed later, the Yuma Sunreports.

On July 5, Investigators searched Slaughter’s home and allegedly found “several items of evidence that directly link the suspect to his prior statements and admissions,” according to the paper.

(My thoughts May Offend) Shame Of Cumbrian Man Who Had over 400 Of Child Pornography & Bestiality

“The link between child pornography & bestiality, has long been known. Most of the worlds well-known serial rapists, child abusers, abductors or murderer’s; started off in life, abusing small animals etc. So why is it that sexual predators have their names put on a Sex Offenders list, for the police to keep tabs on; & inform the public that a sexual predator may be living along the same street…Yet there is no such compulsory Animal Abuse Registry’s? Surely it would make sense to have the names of those who have been charged with animal abuse, torture or bestiality, on such a list… first wouldn’t it? Not only for the police to keep tabs on but also for animal shelters etc. to cross reference anyone wanting to adopt a pet! I can’t help but wonder if such registry’s were in force, would it have stopped any of the above heinous crimes? 

“Obviously the internet has made it very easy for these sick & twisted imbeciles to access sites; which partly fulfil their garish need. But when does just looking , turn into something more sinister? What turns them from viewers to doers? I don’t have the answer to that, but, I believe to protect sentient beings, we need compulsory Animal Abuse Registry’s…this old man has to sign the Sex Offenders list, so the police can keep tabs on him… so why not sign an Animal offenders list, when the two go hand in hand…or are animals not important enough??”

Attending a “Sex Offenders treatment plan” is not going to cure someone with such perversions, especially when they have been at it for so long? Taking away his internet access, is an obvious necessity , but it won’t necessarily stop him. How are the police going to know if he goes & buys a laptop, then uses Wi Fi  internet spots; or use a friends internet connection! In reality, if he can’t get internet access,  I can’t help worrying, what is he going to do to calm his craving for his neurosis?”

“His perverted cravings won’t just go away! What if he was to go to the nearest shelter & adopt a dog or get one of the many dogs that are advertised as ‘free to good home’…..perish the thought. The only way to keep tab’s on these repulsive degenerates is for them to sign an Animal Abuse Registry as well as the Sex Offenders Registry. Shelters etc. could check a person’s name & picture against the registry. As it is, almost anyone can obtain an animal this way..Interpol should have implemented the Animal abuse Registry’s at the same time as the Sex Offenders list. For the life of me, I can’t see why this wasn’t done years ago, when reports pertained proof, that those who abuse children, usually started off their sick life by abusing or raping animals first; often to the point where animals usually die from internal injuries. SO WHY ARE ANIMALS NOT BEING PROTECTED FROM THESE RAPIST’S???? The public can already get information about sexual offenders…so why can’t they have the same for those who offend against animals??”

A man found with more than 400 images of child pornography and bestiality was told his crimes were “a matter of shame”.

Dennis Campbell, of King Street, Aspatria, heard the comments at while being sentenced in Carlisle Crown Court.

He had pleaded guilty to 18 different charges. Three were for possessing extreme pornography, the others for making indecent images of children.

Police in Germany passed details of people using a website containing child pornography, including Campbell, to British officers last year.

Campbell was questioned in June 2011 and three computers in his home were searched.

Officers found a variety of images graded from one to five, with five being the most extreme. Two of these were level five images, 22 at level four, 43 at level three, 40 at level two and 263 at level one.

Police also found 54 images of bestiality which Tim Evans, prosecuting, described as “of the most deeply upsetting kind”.

Mr Evans told the court Campbell claimed to have found the images by accident while browsing mainstream pornography on the internet and looked at the images of bestiality out of curiosity.

“It must have definitely been continuing curiosity to look at 54 of these sorts of images,” he told the court.

Judge Peter Hughes, presiding, said: “It is a matter of shame that, at the age of 60, you should be before the court for such foul offence.” “You don’t get to his age & suddenly start this behaviour. This pervert will have been at it, long before he was caught…I wonder how many poor innocent souls he has had his filthy hands on…be it human or animal!

Campbell, who appeared in court wearing a grey jacket, dark trousers, blue jumper and shirt and tie, was sentenced to a 36-month concurrent community order and ordered to complete a sex offenders treatment plan.“Does this plan contain anything to do with bestiality? 

He also has to sign the sex offenders register for five years and has been banned from owning equipment to access the internet. “This is where the Animal Abuse Registry comes in...the animals deserve some kind of protection”
