“WTF…how evil must one be to kill these beautiful & intelligent dogs over unpaid salaries??? What the hell is the fate of the other 100 German Shepherds? Are these monsters going to get away with brutally killing them too? I have posted this everywhere because there must be somebody or some group who can save the remaining dogs. I’ve never been as shocked about such torturous killings over something so petty as a bloody contract & money. Praying for all those dogs still at risk that they will be saved somehow…sobbing my eyes out!!!”

New Delhi: The tale of the brutal abuse of animals is not a new one but the merciless massacre of about 24 German Shepherds by the employees to seek revenge for unpaid salaries is certainly a horrifying incident.

According to reports, up to 24 dogs that were used for protection by the Eastern Securities, a security company in Kuwait, were killed after it lost its lucrative contract to provide Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) with explosive detection dogs for their oil rigs.

Due to which, despite years of faithful service, these K-9s were simply thrown into the trash. On June 17, 2016, disturbing pictures of the dead dogs began circulating on Facebook; one that showed them piled up against cages….

……while the other that showed a man taking pleasure in standing over the innocent dead creature.

Turns out that the 140 dogs (out of which about 100 continue to be at the risk of being slaughtered) owned by the Eastern Securities became a liability for the company, the moment KNPC cancelled its contract. The cost to feed them and to house them was too much for the Kuwaiti company to take and thus, instead of turning the dogs over, the company decided to kill the bomb sniffing dogs.

Reportedly, the killing wasn’t carried out by a licensed veterinarian and allegedly, the dogs suffered excruciating pain as they died because the medicine used to kill them wasn’t meant for them.

Animal abuse has been on a steady rise for quite some time now. Efforts have been made by animal rights activists and other organizations for their welfare but all in vain.

Animals continue to be tortured and butchered in various parts of the world and such incidents continue to depict the evil side of the man that would go to any extent to fulfill its selfish needs.

Horses Hooves Not Trimmed For 15 years – Grow to 3 Feet Long

Comments Off on Horses Hooves Not Trimmed For 15 years – Grow to 3 Feet Long

“OMG…can you believe the picture below?? I’ve only seen hooves like that once before; on a dead horse!! How can the owner have let them get into such a state they could barely move? It’s not like their so skinny they haven’t been fed, ok not a lot of food, but somebody had to have been giving them something; they couldn’t have lived to their ages without any food or water!! I just can’t understand how anyone, even someone with no knowledge of horses at all, is that dumb, to think it’s ok to just leave them! The poor horses must have been agony, any horsey person knows to keep a horse fit & pain free, a farrier is God; horses hooves need trimming between 6-8 weeks it varies; even if they don’t have shoes on, they still need to be trimmed!!

“I just pray whoever owns these horses, get what they deserve; in this instance prison without probation, along with having to pay in full, all vet & farrier bills. It’s going to take a lot of work from a very good farrier to get their hooves back into shape….but even if they do, the horses may be unfit to ride; due to irreversible damage to the structure of their hooves. I’m just in shock & have nothing but utter disgust at the owner’s blatant abuse & disregard for the health & welfare of these poor innocent horses!! R.I.P little one. Many thanks to (http://www.defhr.org/)USA for taking care of these equine!”

‘Critical condition’

The emaciated animals were discovered standing knee-deep in muck and with hooves more than three feet long.

A miniature mare had to be euthanised at the scene due, because ruptured ligaments had caused the fetlocks to dislocate. The two others – one a full-sized stallion and one a miniature stallion – were in a ‘critical condition’.

“It’s the worst we’ve seen in our 26-year history,” Caroline Robertson, the development director of Days End Farm Horse Rescue told Caroll County Times. “They could barely move without being at risk of getting tangled in their own hooves.”

Three neglected horses have been found, with feet so overgrown it is believed they were locked up for at least 15 years.

Hooves removed

Before the horses could be removed from the scene, they had to be sedated so they could lie down and have the excess hoof removed. They were then taken to Days End Farm Horse Rescue (DEFHR) in Maryland, (http://www.defhr.org/)USA for rehabilitation.

The horses were discovered when a member of the public called the Humane Society of Washington County with concerns about pet pigeons kept there. It was during the welfare inspection that the equines were found.

‘Long road’

Both horses have been aged at around 18. The horse has been called Quest, while the surviving pony has been named Rio. Both have received further treatment from a farrier and vet and are now on the “long road” to rehabilitation.

An investigation into the case is on-going and cruelty charges could be brought.“Never mind could be…they definitely should be!!”

Days End Farm Horse Rescue is a non-profit organisation which currently provides rehabilitation and ongoing care for 78 rescue horses

Pregnant dog burned alive, gets help from local animal rescue group

Comments Off on Pregnant dog burned alive, gets help from local animal rescue group

"OMG...this is beyond sickening, I can't see the dog walking willingly into fire, so she was either burnt or doused in some type of chemical; on purpose. I pray they catch the scum that did this & will keep her in my prayers, in the hopes that all her pups make it & she finds a forever loving home!"

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – A pregnant dog that was severely burned is doing much better after being taken in by a local animal rescue group.

“Someone did something unkind to this very sweet dog,” says Donna Casamento with Big Dog Ranch Rescue.

Pregnant dog burnt is carrying puppies

It’s something so unkind, it’s horrific to view.  Nina, a terrier mix, has second to third degree burns on her chest, all the way down to her legs.

“It’s been a very very sad situation. We weren’t sure when we first got her how the burns happened,” said Casamento.

But Donna thinks Nina’s burns may have been intentional. And what makes this worse, she’s pregnant.

“Whether she walked into a fire on the ground, like a fire pit or was pushed into a fire pit. Dogs don’t walk into those kind of situations,” she said.”

Now the race is on to save the unborn dogs while Nina recovers. “It’s somewhat difficult for us to tell exactly if the puppies are still alive yet,” Casamento said.

Nina was brought up yesterday from Miami-Dade rescue.  Veterinarians here are taking care of her around the clock. “Every couple of hours, she’s getting this applied to her and then several baths throughout the day,” said Donna. “We’re giving her pain medication about every three or four hours at this point.”

The hope is eventually to find her and her babies, a loving home. “In spite what she’s been through, all she wants to do is sit with her head in our lap and get love. This is a great dog,” she said.

Vets say once Nina becomes comfortable, they’ll be able to perform an ultrasound to see if the puppies are alive. They’re asking the community to help with donations for Nina’s care. Find out how you can help at their website, http://www.bdrr.org/ .

Miami-Dade animal rescue is investigating the case.

GRAPHIC VIDEO: R.I.P… PAWS Says Goodbye To Beloved Asian Elephant Annie.‏

Comments Off on GRAPHIC VIDEO: R.I.P… PAWS Says Goodbye To Beloved Asian Elephant Annie.‏

It is with very heavy hearts that we at PAWS share news of the passing of our dear friend, Asian elephant Annie – best known for her joyous romps in the lake that is part of our Asian elephant habitat at the ARK 2000 sanctuary. She had endured severe arthritis and foot disease, which gradually worsened over many years. After it became clear that the medications and treatments used to treat her chronic conditions were no longer providing relief, she was humanely euthanized on Tuesday, while lying on soft soil and surrounded by those who cared for and loved her. At age 55, she was among the oldest Asian elephants in North America.

“Everyone at PAWS will miss Annie. She was a very special elephant,” said PAWS president Ed Stewart. “I’m proud we were able to give her a peaceful and more natural life at the PAWS sanctuary for nearly 20 years. We restored her dignity and gave her the care and respect she deserved.”

Annie was born in Assam, India, around 1960, and taken from her mother at a very early age for use in the zoo industry. She was immediately put on display in a zoo in Wisconsin, where she spent much of her life chained to a concrete floor.

In 1994, the nation was shocked by videos showing Annie and her companion Tammy being cruelly trained. While held by ropes and chains handlers “broke” the elephants, mercilessly beating them into submission. This was no undercover video; the zoo recorded the training session as instruction for other keepers. (This footage was included in the 2013 HBO documentary, “An Apology to Elephants,” narrated by actress and comedienne – and friend of PAWS – Lily Tomlin.) Under public pressure, the zoo opted to relocate the elephants to PAWS.

Annie arrived at PAWS in 1995, rescued from the Wisconsin zoo with Tammy, who passed away in 2003 at age 52 from chronic foot disease and arthritis – the leading causes of death for elephants in captivity. Despite their great intelligence and size, in captivity elephants are forced to live in small, barren enclosures that cause a multitude of physical and psychological harms. Their social, physical and psychological complexities may make them one of the most deprived of all captive wild animals.

Annie keeps cool in the lake, provided for all the animals; this is as free as any captive animal can be, pure heaven for all!

Annie’s life at the PAWS ARK 2000 sanctuary was far closer to what elephants naturally need. She had a sprawling habitat in which to roam, elephant companions, soft grass to lie down and nap on, and a lake in which she loved to bob, splash and swim. It was always a joy to see Annie enjoying her habitat – something we often shared with you on our Facebook page and on Youtube.

Over the years, Annie experienced a variety of health problems, including an injury caused by a bull elephant during forced mating. Her arthritis and foot problems had progressed, including a severe foot abscess. In 2012, Annie tested positive for tuberculosis, but never exhibited symptoms of the disease. Her general condition remained good, including normal appetite and weight, but Annie’s arthritis and foot disease ultimately made movement unbearably painful for her. Tuberculosis has been diagnosed in many elephants used for circuses and to give rides, and in zoos such as the Oregon Zoo and St. Louis Zoo.

It is a sad fact that by the time most elephants come to PAWS they are suffering the debilitating effects of a life spent in inadequate captive conditions. Annie was no exception. Had she remained in her native home, she likely would have been leading a full and enriched life today, surrounded by a family of her own.

“Our job at PAWS is to restore dignity to captive elephants and, for elephants like Annie and Tammy, give them a life free from beatings and chains,” explained Ed. “We did our best for them, and continue to make a significant difference in the lives of all the elephants and other wild animals under our care.”

As is customary for all elephants that pass away at PAWS, a necropsy is being performed on Annie’s remains by pathologists from U.C. Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and tissue samples sent to a laboratory.

PAWS thanks everyone who has ever cared about and supported Annie and helped give her – and all of the wild animals at PAWS – a life of dignity, serenity, and love. On behalf of Annie and everyone at PAWS, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts
“This next video shows pure brute strength by keepers to make Annie lay down. Watch closely & see how the bull hook is gouged into her skin to make her first lay down, then stand; Annie cries out in pain as she is manhandled, she could easily have harmed her trainers, but she didn’t. Now, listen very closely as the keepers talk about how to get her to lay down, near a diagram, around 5.29..(I can hear what sounds like an electrical shock prod) …I bet they were using it on Annie…vile acts of cruelty; just for the publics entertainment!! Annie must have thought she was in heaven when she was moved to PAWS; she finally had some freedom to behave like an elephant should, larking about in the lake & making friends with other free elephants,. I’m so grateful to PAWS for giving Annie her freedom & final home, her final resting place of peace, tranquility & compassion…God bless her soul!”

Asian elephant Annie, and her close companion Tamara, shared an elephant barn/enclosure at the Milwaukee Zoo until 1994, when videotaped recordings of cruel beatings and abusive training elicited public demands that the two elephants be sent to the PAWS sanctuary. Today Annie (Tamara died in 2002) spends her days roaming and grazing among the trees, swimming in the lake, dusting and mud-bathing before lying down to sleep on a sunny hillside.

The archaic management of elephants by zoos that have been using the Free Contact system, has been the focus of controversy between AZA and animal welfare organizations, as well as many zoo professionals who advocate the use of Protected Contact management, a safer and kinder approach to elephant management.

Free Contact allows elephant keepers and handlers to share the same space with the elephant while using the cruel weapon known as the bullhook, the ankus, or the “guide”, to control the animal and to protect the handler. This system has caused injury and death to keepers and considerable suffering to elephants. Protected Contact requires that keepers work with the animal behind barriers and eliminates the use of any weapon or punishment for the elephant. It is a system that ensures the safety of the keeper and the welfare and comfort of the elephant.

In August of this year, The Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) board of directors has approved new standards that will maximize occupational safety of elephant care professionals at AZA-accredited and AZA-certified facilities. The recent release of this new policy by AZA is a giant first step toward maximizing the physical and psychological health of the elephants as well.

The Elephant Manager’s Association opposes these new standards. In a recent statement, EMA wrote: “It is the opinion of the EMA that evaluations and decisions of this sort are best made by elephant care professionals intimately involved in the program as opposed to policy makers that casually observe from a distance.”

Sexually Twisted Man Abuses Puppy in the WORST Way

Comments Off on Sexually Twisted Man Abuses Puppy in the WORST Way

“OMG…this sick, evil, heinous, filthy & pitiful excuse of a human, violated an innocent sentient being; who had no way of asking for help. Thank God, the neighbours saw him, had they not, this would have carried on! But, what’s more worrying to me, is how long has this monster being indulging in his perverted pleasures, behind closed doors & has it only been animals he has abused??? This POS below certainly deserves more than 5 years in prison, all who commit such vile & crude acts, should be given a lot of psychological evaluations; before ever being allowed to mingle around normal people with young families & pets! A large percentage re-offend within months of leaving prison….which just shows that prison isn’t the right place for these perverts! It has long been documented that some of these sub-humans, start abusing & or mutilating animals, before they become sexually interested with either animals or children; it could start with animals & then progress to children or the other way around.”

“I think the only way to help protect animals from human rapist’s is to have an ‘Animal Abuse/paedophile Registry’ in each County! The similar Human Paedophile Registries closely monitor child abusers etc. so why not have them for those who sexually harm animals. I think will be an invaluable tool to help police & dog shelters etc. keep tabs on the undesirables & also identify new abusers. How else do the police keep an eye on animal rapists? they can’t really! These Animal abuse/rape ‘Registries’ should be up & running ASAP before more animals are harmed or children put into dangerous situation. When abusers get out of prison, who’s to say they won’t start again, where they left off? Do you think 5 years of prison will stop their despicable sexual fantasies? because  I don’t! If this sick bastard could do that to a puppy, how safe will children be around him? When he is released, the public have a right to know his new or old address; so they can keep their animals & family safe! But the police have a duty to keep the public safe, which is why it’s imperative to ensure, each & every County has an ‘Animal Abuse Registry” if they don’t…well, it’s just down to praying said offender won’t repeat their sickening fetishes; sadly it’s all too common for abusers to re-offend!” Personally, I think they should all be castrated & left to rot on an island in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by great white sharks!”

A Florida man was convicted of heinous acts against an 8-month-old puppy and sentenced to prison, however, the sentence doesn’t seem nearly long enough for the crimes.

61-year-old James Guy Bull from Daytona Beach. Booking Photo

(Don’t forget the face of the pervert above!!!)

61-year-old James Guy Bull from Daytona Beach pleaded guilty to two counts of felony cruelty to animals, misdemeanor animal cruelty charges and misdemeanor sexual activities involving animals, according to USAToday.

Bull was set to go to trial for the charges, but he instead pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five years in prison.

State Attorney R.J. Larizza called the facts surrounding the horrific abuse case “incomprehensible and vile” after the sentence was handed down on Friday.

“The defendant’s abuse of the helpless dog shocks the collective conscience of the citizens of the Seventh Circuit and beyond.”

Back in March some of Bull’s neighbors came forward with allegations of seeing him fondling the small pit bull puppy’s private areas on several different occasions despite the dog crying and whimpering for him to stop. One neighbor said that at one point they were walking by Bull’s home and caught him in the act of having sex with the puppy named Coco, according to prosecutor

“When (Bull) saw (him), he pulled up his pants and put the dog down,” court records show.

Police went to Bull’s home to investigate and that’s when they found the “clearly emaciated” dog chained to a post on the front porch with almost no room to move.

“She had about 8 inches of free reign, no water, no shelter and no food for her,” an affidavit said. The dog was “skittish and obviously afraid,” and showed signs of physical sexual abuse.

The good news is that while Bull sits behind bars for the next five years, Coco, who’s now named Rose, has been placed in safe custody with an animal rescue group and should be okay after a while.

I often wonder what kind of twisted person would do such a thing to a helpless dog who, if given the chance, would only want to love him and be his loyal friend. Five years doesn’t seem like nearly enough for such vile acts.

Do you think his sentence is appropriate? Let us know with a comment. – Don’t forget to “like” the above on Facebook and follow me on Twitter

James Guy Bull will spend the next five years of his life in prison for raping an eight-month-old female terrier dog on his front porch reported the Facebook page of Rose’s Road to Recovery Friday afternoon.

A huge crowd gathered outside the Daytona, Florida courtroom; sentencing was scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Bull pleaded guilty to felony and misdemeanor charges for sexual acts with an animal and animal cruelty. According to the firstcoastnews.com, State Attorney R.J. Larizza called the heinous acts “incomprehensible and vile.”

“The defendant’s abuse of the helpless dog shocks the collective conscience of the citizens of the Seventh Circuit and beyond,” stated Larizza.

Bull, 61, was arrested in March when neighbors called authorities after hearing Bull’s young dog yelp and cry as if in pain. Witnesses told police they had seen Bull raping the dog, and “he had pulled up his pants and put the dog down” when he knew others had seen his despicable act with the puppy.

When authorities arrived, they found a “clearly emaciated” dog who was “obviously afraid.” The dog, named Rose has since recovered, and has been under the care of the Second Chance Rescue NYC.

The organization’s Facebook page, Rose’s Road to Recovery began in April when the dog arrived at Second Chance Rescue:

“This page was made to tell Rose’s painful story; to be her voice. The only way to fight animal abuse is to make people aware of stories like this and try to get more people to speak out and do something.”

BASTROP COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) – Authorities in Bastrop County are looking for a man who allegedly dragged his horse for 100 yards leaving it with severe injuries.

Horse dragged behind pick-up..cruel bxxxxxd!! Image from Examiner web page

On Nov. 10, a witness saw Mariano Villafuerta, 43, tie a horse to his truck in the 200 block of Mesa Drive in Del Valle and started to drive away.

The witness said Villafuerta accelerated to a high rate of speed with the horse still tied to the hitch of the truck. The horse had a difficult time keeping up, fell to its side and was dragged for about 100 yards.

According to the arrest warrant, Villafuerta then stopped the truck, got out and began kicking the horse in the neck until it stood up. Villafuerta then grabbed the horse by the lead rope and ran the horse down the driveway to the house in the 300 block of Mesa Drive.

The witness noticed that the horse’s left eye was damaged as well as the skin on his body. The deputy who arrived to take the report took pictures of the aforementioned injuries.

The witness said the horse apparently got out of Villafuerta’s property and was roaming around when Villafuerta found it.

The Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office will charge Villafuerta with cruelty to livestock animals by tripping, which is a state jail felony.

As of Wednesday night, officials have not located Villafuerta.

The horse is currently going through rehabilitation at the Meadow Haven Horse Rescue .

By Penny Eims December 5, 2012:- Man wanted for dragging horse behind truck in Texas

On Tuesday, KEYE TV published a horrific case ofanimal cruelty involving a gorgeous horse who was nearly dragged to his death in Bastrop County, Texas.

The incident took place on November 10, the day that the suspect, Mariano Resendiz Villafuerta, is accused of attaching his horse to the back of his white, Ford F150 pickup and dragging him for over 150 yards.

According to Bastrop County Sheriff’s DepartmentSgt. Ric Cole:

“He was drug at a high speed until the horse couldn’t keep up,” “And then when the horse fell, he drug it.”

Investigators believe that Villafuerta was angry about something at the time, and took that rage out on the horse. According to KXAN News, the authorities were alerted to the horrific situation by a witness who claims to have watched the entire scene.

After the high speed dragging, the horse, now being called “Dragster,” was taken to a veterinary clinic for the multiple injuries which cover his once gorgeous coat.

Dragster is currently being cared for by the Meadow Haven Horse Rescue, where he is expected to recover.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Villafuerta, who is facing one count of animal cruelty, but as of yet, he is nowhere to be found.

Anyone with information is asked to phone 911 or the Bastrop County Sheriff.

Homeless Fresno Man Beaten And His Dog Killed

Comments Off on Homeless Fresno Man Beaten And His Dog Killed

“Please if anybody knows anything about this, contact the police! These gangs must be punished for what they do; mocking a homeless person is one thing, beating them & killing their dog is another! If they can kick a dog to death, what else are they capable of? I would like to bet if they own dogs, then their dogs suffer from their abusive behaviour too! Young people like this if not reprimanded now will grow up to have no respect for any life; they will probably kill again, it’s in their nature; they are void of feelings when killing!! So if you know something & don’t own up (you can do it anonymously), then another death may be on your conscience. Video included in link below!”

Tuesday, January 07, 2014 –

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Fresno police arrested two teenagers accused of beating up a 45-year-old homeless man and killing his small dog.

Police arrested 18-year-old Alejandro Lopez and a 16-year-old male after they were identified by the victim. Police suspect both are gang members.

Police say the victim is a 45-year-old homeless man who was walking through the parking lot of the Mosqueda Community Center in Southeast Fresno before 10:00 p.m. Monday.

Lt Jose Garza with the Fresno Police Department says officers don’t know the victim’s encounter with the group of teens turned violent.

“For gang members they really don’t need a reason to victimize people, they do it, that’s what they do,” Garza said. “They surrounded him and started kicking knocked him to the ground.

Garza said they started yelling out their gang before they started their assault. Garza also said the man had a backpack. The man’s dog, a terrier-mix named Snoopy, was in the backpack. Garza said the teens turned their attention to the man’s pet.

“They took the dog out of the backpack and repeatedly kicked the dog and ended up killing it,” he said.

Garza said there were two teenager women with the group of attackers who took pity on the victim, who helped him up and told him to run.

The victim ran to a convenience store down the street, at the corner of E. Butler Ave. and S. Maple Ave.

The store clerk told Action News he remember seeing the man frantic in the parking lot, telling customers that he had been attacked and his dog was dead. The clerk said the man was able to flag down a police car that was stopped at the traffic light.

Police say the victim is fine and refused treatment. He was released at the scene.

Officers believe there were five or six people involved in the attack. They are asking the public’s help in finding the rest.

The suspects in custody are facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon and cruelty towards animals.
