A Personal Note To Those Who Support My Blog

Comments Off on A Personal Note To Those Who Support My Blog

I’m sure some of you have noticed the lack of posts during the past few weeks, or maybe not ūüė¶ ; I just wanted to let you know why I’ve been away! (Some video likes have been posted but not by me, had to give passwords to family just incase…it appears¬†some liked vimeo lol)

My apologies, I didn’t have time to let people know, it was a bit last-minute when¬†I was finally admitted to Middlesbrough hospital¬†in England, for several weeks; this is my last chance to gain some decent back pain relief.

It is only¬†a week since leaving hospital, after having had a Morphine pump inserted; I still have the wounds bound, but¬†I go back to Middlesbrough hospital (several hours from home) tomorrow to have my staples removed from the incisions on my¬†back & stomach; & yes it hurts like hell but I’m a tough cookie…lol!!

So please bear with me whilst I recover, it could be several weeks or months before I know if the operation has been successful or not; which will affect my quality of life & also how often I can post animal news etc.!

If the operation has been a success,¬†I should gain at most 20% less pain; not a lot but anything is better than nothing. Obviously I will try to post as & when¬†I can, it all depends on pain, plus I can’t always get to my computer!

However, due to being on some pretty good pain meds whilst I recover, today has allowed me to get to my PC & write you;¬†I have even¬†managed a couple of posts; although now suffering for sitting too long….lol

Just please bear with me whilst I recover, if all goes quiet again, you know that I simply can’t post much¬†due to pain.

So please, keep your fingers crossed & pray my operation worked; allowing me to get back to posting regular global animal posts. But more importantly, God willing, I will hopefully be able to fulfill my dream & rescue another horse, after suddenly losing my beautiful horse to colic; after surgery failed last year!

Many thanks to personal friends who follow this blog & my Twitter, who knew I was in hospital; you know who you are & your kind words were much appreciated.

I hope to be back asap!!

Kind regards

Jules

Hi All

Firstly, may I just say thank you to those who sent get well wishes etc. I really appreciate your kind words & prayers.

Well, the prayers worked, it’s been several weeks since I had this first part of spinal surgery & I’m pleased to say it went as well as could be expected, as has my recovery! I’m feeling stronger, which means I am now able to get to my desktop computer; to communicate with you guys!

However, this is only the first of possibly several surgery’s, which obviously means no posts again; whilst in hospital & at home recovering.¬†Yes I have a laptop & iPad, but my wireless internet range is pants, it won’t reach my bedroom; so I can’t post anything until I am able to get to my desktop computer, sorry!

But, for now, until I go back into hospital & pain allowing, I think I could manage a couple of posts a day; but like I said pain allowing, so don’t hold me to that..lol

Once again, thanks to everybody who sent well wishes, I will let you know when I go back into hospital; that way you will know the reason why there are no posts.

Jules

P.S. If ever days go by without me posting anything; it means I’m either in hospital or in too much pain to get to my desktop….don’t ever think I’ve given up on trying to educate people to the horrors of global animal abuse!!

I’m writing this on behalf of Jules, the owner of this site.

Jules has asked me to let you know that she is ok & the spinal surgery went as well as expected.

Jules is hoping to be back asap, if only for a short while; before her next big spinal surgery is due.

I’m sure you will join me in wishing Jules a speedy recovery!

A Personal Note From Me

Dear followers

I hope most of you got the post about me being unwell,¬†I’m so very sorry my illness has kept me away for so long!¬†Unfortunately, I’m still not 100% & need to be back in hospital Tuesday 17th for a small operation, but I’m hoping things go to plan & I get home for Christmas. ¬†So until then, I will try to post as much as my pain allows.

However, in the New Year I will be having further surgery on my spine, I have no idea how long I will be out of action for, but I will make sure someone keeps you posted. I can assure you, it upsets me to think animals are suffering & I’m not able to help them by telling their stories; so¬†I will get back to normal posting as soon as is possible.

As this is linked to these accounts, my apologise for not replying to messages on Twitter or Facebook, having just had a quick glance; I see I have a lot to catch up with. Please don’t think I have been ignoring any personal messages or request to post news;¬†I really haven’t been well enough to do much of anything. I will get round to answering them all as soon as I am able, bearing in mind I will be out of action again after my¬†spinal surgery in the New Year. It’s going to take quite some time to catch up, I have never been away for so long before, so please bear with me!!

To enable me to catch up, I have had to delete a lot of news items sent via Email (which will hopefully have been covered by others ) on Word press blogs etc. However, I have kept & added lots more petitions to sign at the following:-

https://preciousjules1985.wordpress.com/more-up-to-date-petitions-that-need-your-signature-please/

I’ve also got some news stories I want to write-up, so please be aware, the date I¬†post them to this blog,¬†won’t be the date the story was first issued!

May I take this opportunity to wish you & your families A Very Happy, Healthy, Joyful Christmas & A Bright & Prosperous New Year.

Jules

My apologies

Comments Off on My apologies

I’m really sorry for the lack of posts, but I’m getting to the last few stages of coming off tablet & oral Morphine, so I can have a Morphine pump fitted inside my body instead. That and another infection are giving me some rather unpleasant side effects; making me feel really unwell.

I do hope you guys can bear with me ( especially new followers ) & be patient for posts; whilst I’m going through this difficult period.
Those that know me know I hate being offline, as I class this blog seriously, its my life since becoming disabled & one of the only ways, bar giving money to charities; that I can help raise awareness to the atrocities of worldwide animal abuse.

I’m hoping I will be able to do a few posts before hospital; if I can get to my main pc! My wireless broadband is sxxt. its taken me ages to type this from my bed; on my ipad….ūüė°

Anyhow, I will keep you informed on whats happening & hope to be back posting daily; ASAP.

All the best

Personal: Just A Quick Note About Future Posts

Comments Off on Personal: Just A Quick Note About Future Posts

Hi folks

“Me, again, sorry, but I just had a¬†brainwave; or in my case, more of a ripple…lol”

“As you know, due to my present circumstances (if you read the last personal post) my time online is precious, due to increasing pain! This is because the strength of oral morphine I take, is decreasing weekly; to prepare my body for an operation to have a morphine pump fitted (Which better bloody work after all this!!!) Obviously the extra pain, is stopping me from being able to get to my main PC, to post stories!”

“I am more than aware of how far behind I am, with recent news articles & stories; many are backed up on my pc just waiting for me to post! All of which makes me very frustrated. But I think there is a way I could post a little more; that is if I stop editing stories like I do!!!”

“Yes, I am guilty of wanting to make posts look more interesting & appealing on the eye. I like highlighting the best bits, as some people don’t want to, or don’t have time to read the full article; I often skim over stories when I don’t have time to read the full post. But I also like to use colours to highlight names, I use pictures & image galleries. I like researching more about the stories; so I can include any relevant petitions etc.

“I see nothing wrong with how I edit the stories, however doing so, is very¬†time-consuming, something I just don’t have right now!”

“So, I think whilst my time online is limited…I could get more done, if I just post stories “as is”, just how they are printed in¬†their¬†online news format, without me giving them a makeover; so to speak! Plus I will just use the basic¬†categories too (I know, my posts contain a lot of¬†categories…lol) I just like stories to be found easily, that’s all!”

“I’m sure by posting stories & articles without adding my extra touches…it will enable¬†me to post a little more! Once again, my sincere apologies for the lack of news items, with some being past their due date; I can only go as fast as my body is able!! Hopefully once the surgery is done, I will have all the time in the world to edit, & do makeovers on as many stories as I like!!”

“Like I said, I have a few stories backed up, but they will by now be past¬†their¬†online¬†postdates; ¬†my apologies!”

P.S. Many many thanks to all those who sent birthday wishes! I was & still am, quite touched by the kindness & thoughtfulness; of people whom I only know through a keyboard!

Plus, with a lot of sheer determination,¬†encouragement¬†& help from family & friends…after 6 months confined at home due to pain…I finally managed the journey to the livery yard & got to see my horses; which, of course, was the best present ever! I can’t thank those involved enough;¬†aside from saying “I love you guys”!¬†

My Apologies For The Lack Of Posts: It’s A Right Pain!!

Comments Off on My Apologies For The Lack Of Posts: It’s A Right Pain!!

Hi folks

I do¬†sincerely¬†apologise for the lack of posts, & thought it time I explain my situation as the posts may have to stop for a while; believe¬†me, I feel terrible for letting the animals down by not posting their stories…but there is nothing I can do as yet!.

Hopefully if all things go to plan, I should be back to posting several stories a day, around August time, so I do hope you all will wait for me! Being stuck in a dam wheelchair means there is little I can do regards animal advocacy…but by doing this blog, posting news stories etc. It has become my own little online fight against animal abuse. Not being able to post what & when I like is very frustrating, plus I feel I am letting you; the readers down!

As some of you know, I’ve suffered with chronic back & leg pain since a horse riding accident in 1999, that was neither mine nor my precious horses fault. (I keep meaning to write the story of how my horse accident happened & put it in the about me page, but I never get the time to write it) However, I have had several failed back surgeries, over the course of the years, to deal with my prolapsed discs & Arachnoiditis (nerve¬†damage); along with every other type of¬†remedial therapy going! As the years have progressed, so has the pain, which has meant increasing the drugs too!. I take a huge amount of tablet morphine¬† plus I drink the oral morphine, like soda; for breakthrough pain! One would think I should act like I’m drunk the amount I take, but even doctors are shocked that I take so much; but still remain lucid!!

I started to have injections into my back but they only gave me a few hours of pain¬†relief.¬† The only real pain relief¬†I got was every 6 months, I would go into hospital to be hooked up to spinal epidurals for a week at a time, just to give me a break from the pain & be able to cope with the next 6 months ahead; when you have chronic pain daily, it also makes you very depressed!! Having had so many epidural infusions over the years, I kind of¬†knew¬†something would go wrong one day, I’ve never been one to have much luck!! Of course, I was right, I got¬†bacterial¬†meningitis¬†from the epidural, not just once, but twice…how unlucky is that?? Suffice to say, I can’t have any more epidurals as it’s too risky, besides I couldn’t put¬†myself¬†through that again, the head pain is horrific; nor would I put my family through the worry again!

In the last 2 years there has only been one thing that I have not tried, simply because no surgeon would do it! I have travelled up & down the country seeing so many different doctors, that I had almost given up, my pain is becoming unbearable, when not in my wheelchair, I spend most of my time in bed! I have a laptop but my broadband connection is useless, so unless I can get into my office to work on my desktop pc; no posts get done, apart from when my daughter has posted some for me, whilst I was in hospital last Christmas!

But, at last, my luck seems to be changing! About 3 months ago, my surgeon said he had arranged for me to go up to¬†Middlesbrough¬†to talk to a surgeon at the¬†Middlesbrough¬†spinal trauma unit. After a long discussion about risks,¬†primarily¬†paralysis etc. & more MRI scans; he has agreed to put a morphine pump in my back, providing there are no complications whilst he is actually doing it, as I have another tube that goes into my tummy, certain organs don’t work as they should…that’s as a result of the failed surgeries too! There is only one draw back…I have to come off ALL the oral & tablet morphine I currently take, or else I won’t get any¬†benefit¬†from the pump. The Morphine¬†delivered¬†by the pump will be concentrated & go directly into the spinal area giving me more¬†pain¬†relief ¬†than any tablets I take at present.

pain-pump-34

The thought of coming off my morphine by 10 mg a week was & still is very daunting & very painful. But…considering I was taking 560 mg per day, when I started,¬†as of today I have managed to get to 280 mg of morphine a day! I’m quite impressed with myself; although in bloody agony. Plus no oral morphine (well I’ve had just a little) for¬†breakthrough pain¬†but, nothing like I used to.¬†

Obviously my pain is increasing, the less morphine I take, which is the reason for the lack of posts. Pain dictates my every move, &¬†I still have a long way to go yet, before I reach zero,¬†reducing my morphine by 10 mg a week, that’s if I can actually get that far!! Perhaps once I stop taking it, I might start to feel a little better in myself, morphine has a lot of side effects. I guess this is a little like going cold turkey!!

However, I must remain positive, I have¬†finally¬†been given a chance to have a morphine pump fitted, which will hopefully give me less pain, plus not taking so many morphine tablets, has to be a bonus; they are not good for your body or brain!! So I must press on, in the hopes that¬†I should have a much better quality of life. I’ll still be in the wheelchair, that’s for life, but if I can get my pain to a level whereby I can leave the house again & see my horses…I will be¬†ecstatic! Plus I promise to post as many news stories as is possible !! ūüôā

PETITION: Please Help Protect Guide Dogs For The Blind

Comments Off on PETITION: Please Help Protect Guide Dogs For The Blind

“Posting for & on behalf of a Twitter friend¬†roger debman¬†‚ÄŹ@printer8¬†I can relate to this being disabled & wheelchair bound myself; It’s not funny or clever to mock the afflicted, one never knows when it might be your turn…disabled people rely heavily on all manner of items & of course dogs; to make their life as normal as possible. If that item it taken away, it can be devastating for the person who¬†relied¬†on it!! So please, spare a minute of your time & sign this important petition…Thanks!”

PETITION: protect guide dogs for the blind

Injuries to animals such as guide dogs must be treated as a aggravated attack as a attack on a guide dog has a serious impact on the disabled persons quality of life.

Dog Attacks

Dog attacks are of great concern to Guide Dogs and to guide dog owners. The number of guide dog owners who are reporting dog attacks on their dogs is increasing. Our latest research shows the number of reported attacks on guide dogs has risen from three a month to over eight dog attacks a month within a 24 month period from June 2010 to May 2012.

In most cases the cause of the attack was unprovoked, and the aggressor dog was uncontrolled and off the lead.

Guide Dogs backs compulsory microchipping, but wants proposals to go further. Read¬†our reaction¬†to the Government’s proposals about microchipping.

The impact on guide dog owners and guide dogs

Dog attacks can have a devastating impact on both the people and dogs involved. Three guide dogs have been permanently withdrawn, and two others are currently being assessed to see if they are able to continue working.

The other major impact is that blind and partially sighted people are left without a guide dog, their mobility aid, and become housebound until they can be matched with a suitable dog.

Some guide dog owners have been left too frightened to go out as a result of an attack. One guide dog owner wanted to move house due to the response of the owners of the attacking dog, who in some cases used verbal abuse against blind and partially sighted people.

Some appeared to be under the influence of drink or drugs, and in one case, the owner of an aggressive dog laughed at a guide dog owner during an attack on his guide dog.

Teenager’s guide dog savaged in fourth dog attack in a month in Liverpool park

Jayne Massey with Witney, her guide dog

Jayne Massey with Witney, her guide dog

A TEENAGER was left devastated after her guide dog was attacked in a Liverpool park.

Partially sighted Jayne Massey, 14, from Walton, has had two-year-old Witney since April but the black labrador/ retriever cross was left needing stitches to her ear and antibiotics after another dog ‚Äúpounced‚ÄĚ on her last week.

Jayne, who only has one eye and extremely limited vision, was away on a school trip last Wednesday when mum Marie, 56, dad George, 63, and their grandaughter Ava, 4, took the dog for a walk in Walton Hall Park at about 1pm.

As they left the park a brown and white Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog, who was with a group of teenagers, attacked Witney, biting her ear.

This is the fourth time an attack by a brown and white dog has been reported around the Walton area in the past month.

Marie said: “It was terrifying. As we went by the dog it just pounced on Witney from behind.

‚ÄúWhen I told Jayne what had happened she was absolutely devastated and sobbed all night.‚ÄĚ

Jayne said: “I was heartbroken when my mum told me Witney had been attacked.

“I just didn’t expect it to happen to her because she’s such a lovely dog.

‚ÄúNow I‚Äôm just worried about how she‚Äôll recover and whether she‚Äôll be able to come into school with me in a couple of weeks. I‚Äôm thinking about her all the time and I just hope she‚Äôll be ok.‚ÄĚ

Jayne is one of the youngest people in the country to have a guide dog.

A Note About This Blog And Viewer Discretion

Comments Off on A Note About This Blog And Viewer Discretion

I just want to make sure people understand the nature of this blog, so as not to offend or upset anyone. I do a lot of research to get stories for this blog, & I am finding more & more news on a subject that revolts the majority of us, bestiality! However, the world needs to be aware of what is happening…so I intend to post such news; in the hopes that we can change laws to protect animals from such vile crude acts. I will be posting blogs about such cases….so please…take note, I really don’t want to offend anyone.

MAY I POINT OUT THAT THIS BLOG OFTEN¬†CONTAINS¬†DETAILED, SENSITIVE &¬†GRAPHIC¬†MATERIAL, HENCE IT’S TITLE.

THEREFORE PLEASE DO NOT READ IT IF YOU ARE EASILY UPSET, THE LAST THING I WANT TO DO IS UPSET PEOPLE.

OBVIOUSLY THE TITLE OF A POST GIVES A CLUE AS TO WHAT THE POST IS ABOUT, SO PLEASE USE YOUR OWN DISCRETION, ONE IS NOT FORCED TO READ ANY BLOG.

THIS IS A SITE ABOUT ANIMAL ABUSE, IT IS MY INTENTION TO SHOW THE WORLD WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR BEAUTIFUL VOICELESS ANIMALS ESPECIALLY PETS.

MY AIM IS TO NAME & SHAME THOSE FOUND ABUSING, TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC & RAISE AWARENESS TO THE HORRORS HAPPENING AROUND THE WORLD, TO MANY, IN YOUR TOWN.

THERE IS A NOTE ON THE FRONT PAGE, DOWN THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SCREEN REGARDS THE CONTENT OF THIS BLOG…BUT I JUST WANTED TO POINT IT OUT AGAIN FOR ANY NEW READERS WHO HAVE NOT NOTICED IT.

SO PLEASE, USE YOUR OWN DISCRETION WHEN READING OR VIEWING VIDEOS FROM THIS BLOG. I DO TRY TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF ANY GRAPHIC MATERIAL CONTAINED IN A POST, BUT SOME MAY OVERLOOK IT & THEN BE UPSET, I DON’T WANT THAT TO HAPPEN!!

I WOULD NOT BE DOING THIS BLOG JUSTICE, NOR BE TRUE TO THE TITLE, IF I DID NOT INCLUDE ALL FORMS OF ANIMALS ABUSE, WHICH OBVIOUSLY INCLUDE TOPICS THAT THE MAJORITY OF US, FIND DISGUSTING & UPSETTING.

HOW CAN WE HOPE TO CHANGE THE¬†LIVES¬†OF SO MANY ANIMALS & PROTECT THEM WITH¬†RELEVANT¬†LAW’S…IF WE DO NOT MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS.!!¬†

I would like to think, all that follow this blog are of the same opinion, which is that animal abuse will not be tolerated in any form & we will stand up & shout out, for the voiceless. If animals are not covered under recent law, then we must fight for new laws to protect them.

We are the animals greatest threat, if we are not killing them for their meat, they are bred & killed for fashion.

We are taking their natural habitats like the rainforests away & in doing so, take their food source. Their hunger causes them to conflict with humans & their livestock, yet when they steal from us; we kill them.

We¬†forcefully take them from their families, to use for our own pleasure in entertainment such as zoo’s & circuses, forcing¬†them to live in unsuitable & inadequate conditions. Forced to perform degrading &¬†derogatory¬†tricks for a paying audience; they suffer terrible abuse at the hands of some trainers. ¬†But when they have gone stir crazy, from a lifetime of abuse, they have no other way of telling us how they feel, so they lash out; we then kill them, because they are out of control.¬†

¬†We cross breed animals with a species they¬†wouldn’t¬†normally mate with in the wild, sometimes just out of curiosity, making abominations…which some use to their advantage & show off to the public for profit; but we have no right to mess with the balance of nature.

We force dogs to breed in puppy mills, living in¬†despicable¬†conditions, then toss them aside when they are no longer viable or make a profit. So many people buy the offspring but rarely question how, when or why. There are literally thousands of pets sitting in animal shelters, just waiting for a loving family…so please don’t shop…Adopt!

We force animals to race or fight against one another for our own enjoyment; irrelative of their feelings. We even have the audacity to call it sport or a tradition. What sort of sport or tradition  should spill innocent blood? Traditions are exactly that, something that used to happen or take place.

We now have a better understanding than ever, that animals have feelings, they hurt just like we do. Knowing that & still carrying on with such a tradition is literally abusing animals; people pay to see an animal abused…. If in the tradition of bullfighting, the bull¬†was often replaced by a dog…would it still be allowed to happen? I see no difference in what animal is used, they all suffer, bleed & die.¬†

In one way or another, they are all abused, yet the term abuse is not accepted nor used when said animal is making a profit for mankind!!

Animals have a lot to fear from humans, & with this blog; I aim to raise the issue of their fears…in reality…it is more often humans that are the animals!.
