Shocking photos show the moment a fox is dragged out of its hole by hunters and shot in front of children as young as FIVE

“THIS DESPICABLE HEINOUS CRIME MUST STOP….PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION BELOW. How can anyone say that chasing an animal with the intention to kill it is a normal act! These POS get a buzz out of chasing a small animal, purely to kill it…it’s the thrill of the chase; & they love it!!”

By LIZZIE EDMONDS – 27 January 2014

  • Images, released by anti-hunt campaigners, show men setting dog on fox
  • They then use spades to dig creature out of a hole before shooting it dead
  • Critics have today condemned ‘cruel’ and ‘horrific’ incident
  • But Countryside Alliance say the men acted legally under Hunting Act

This is the moment a fox was dragged out of a hole and shot dead while children as young as five watched on.

The images, released by anti-hunt campaigners, show a group of terriermen setting their dog on the  creature.

The fox tries attempts to hide in a badger’s sett – but the three adults fire into the ground and use spades to dig it out.

These images show the moment a group of men unearthed and shot a fox as three young children watched on

A farmer who captured the killing on camera says the group then called over three children to show them the remains.

The men can then be seen walking away with two dead animals. It is unclear where and how the second fox was killed.

The shocking incident happened shortly after a hunt on December 28 by the Modbury Harriers, which rides in south Devon.

The League Against Cruel Sports has handed the photos over to the RSPCA and asked them to investigate it as a possible breach of the Hunting Act..

The law bans hunting foxes with a pack of hounds – however it doesn’t cover the use of dogs to flush out animals underground.

The farmer, who has asked not to be identified, said the fox was initially chased across the field by hounds.

The Countryside Alliance said there was ‘no question’ the behaviour was legal – describing the killing as ‘professional and humane’.

“Just read the above comment on the picture…how can any sane animal lover, who owns just a dog or cat; say this is normal!! I see no difference in this than I do inhumane POS chasing & killing elephants or rhino…they are all sentient beings FFS!!”

The huntsmen moved on but before it could climb out of the badger’s set three men with guns and spades arrived – with three children following close behind.

The farmer said: ‘I sat there in disbelief – how could those guys think any of what had played out was fit for young children to witness?

‘I watched in horror as a whole pack of hounds poured into our neighbour’s field then piled into our meadow.

They made that hideous blood-curdling squealing – known as ‘speaking’ – which means they are on the scent of a fox.

‘I saw a beautiful vixen flash across the meadow and disappear into an old badger sett on my neighbour’s farm.

‘At the top of the hill I saw a couple of guys carrying spades and a terrier on a lead. They were going to dig her out and kill her right then and there.

‘The men came down and filled in the exit holes to stop the fox escaping and then called the children over to watch as they dug out and killed the young vixen.’

Sick Neanderthals!!

The farmer said the three men came across a second badger inside the hole which they also shot dead as the children craned their necks to see what was happening.

He added: ‘This is the dirty underbelly of fox hunting, the bit they don’t like even their followers to see.

‘But I was disgusted to see the terriermen had brought three youngsters to watch – one was only about five years old.

The farmer, who keeps a flock of 140 breeding ewes and a few chickens, is strongly anti-hunting and has complained about huntsmen trespassing on his land.

oe Duckworth, chief executive of the League Against Cruel Sports (LACS), said: ‘This horrific incident of animal cruelty shows not only a total disregard for the dogs and foxes but also for the welfare of the children.’

The Countryside Alliance, however, said there was ‘no question’ the behaviour was legal – describing the killing as ‘professional and humane’.

Spokesman Tim Bonner said the outrage merely demonstrated that outsiders do not ‘understand the realities of the countryside and country life’.

Mr Bonner said he had spoken to the hunt, who told him the killing had been carried out as ‘pest control” with the permission of the landowner.

He said: ‘The children were not in the hole – they were close by – and as far as we are concerned it was a totally professional operation and nothing which should upset anyone.

‘They were using the terrier work exemption and properly, professionally and humanely managing the killing of those two foxes.

‘There would be plenty of children of that sort of age involved in pheasant shoots and ferreting.

‘The vast majority of children eat meat and at the end of the day it is a dead animal.’

The Hunting act:-

The Hunting Act came in to force in February 2005 and was passed under the 1997 Labour government. It bans hunting any wild mammal  – including foxes, deer and hares -with dogs in England and Wales.

Under the Act it is completely legal to ‘flush out’ – i.e. coax an animal from a hole or a sett – with dogs.

It is also legal to drag hunt with hounds. This is when the dogs are trained to follow an artificial scent and is now common practice across the country.

Hunting mammals with dogs was banned in Scotland two years earlier under the Protection of Wild Mammals Act 2002.

It is still legal to hunt in Northern Ireland.

Breaking the law is a summary offence. Those found guilty of doing so would be fined.

There were 181 convictions under the Hunting Act up to the end of 2010.

GRAPHIC VIDEO:Idaho Ag-Gag: MFA Releases Shocking New Video of Dairy Cow Sex Abuse

Comments Off on GRAPHIC VIDEO:Idaho Ag-Gag: MFA Releases Shocking New Video of Dairy Cow Sex Abuse

“PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION BELOW – THIS HEINOUS ABUSE MUST BE STOPPED NOW & THE AG-GAG LAW ABOLISHED. If these men are capable of treating animals in such a vile manner; what are they like at home? probable domestic abuse & perhaps worse! These evil sub-humans need to be exposed not protected by an AG-GAG Law. Think about it, only those with something to hide would want this law to protect them from the public finding out what really happens to its animals. If you’re a meat-eater, are you happy to eat a cow that has been violated & horrifically abused???”

February 19, 2014 Posted By Vandhana Bala

MFA has released never-before-seen undercover video of cows being sexually abused at Bettencourt Dairies, Idaho’s largest dairy farm.

The footage is part of a new online ad campaign aimed at defeating the state’s controversial “ag-gag” bill, SB 1337.

The graphic hidden-camera video shows a worker fondling a cow’s vagina while making crude sexual references. It also shows this and other Bettencourt workers viciously beating, kicking, and jumping on cows in order to deliberately inflict pain.

MFA is urging concerned citizens to contact Idaho governor Butch Otter and representatives in the state House to demand that they reject the dangerous ag-gag bill. Watch the shocking video here:

Viewer Discretion – Dairy Industry Tries to Cover Up Factory Farm Sex Abuse

Published on 18 Feb 2014

In direct response to an undercover investigation exposing horrific animal abuse and sexual assault at Bettencourt Dairies, Idaho’s largest dairy factory farm, corrupt lawmakers have introduced a bill to silence whistleblowers and keep the dairy industry’s dirty secrets hidden from public view. Watch and share this important video. Then take action at www.MercyForAnimals.org/Idaho

In late 2012, MFA conducted an undercover investigation at Bettencourt Dairies that exposed a culture of horrific animal cruelty, neglect, and sexual abuse. The investigation led to criminal charges against workers at the facility. Jesus Garza, seen molesting a cow in this newly released video, was convicted in January 2013 of criminal cruelty to animals. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, ordered to pay a $500 fine, and barred from supervising or providing any direct care to livestock.

This year, in direct response to MFA’s investigation, pro-factory farm legislators in Idaho proposed an ag-gag bill designed to shield animal abusers like Jesus Garza from public scrutiny. If passed, SB 1337 would make it a crime to take photos or video at a factory farm without the owner’s permission. Luis Bettencourt, owner of Bettencourt Dairies, has been lobbying to pass this bill.

“This legislation is a desperate attempt to sweep evidence of animal cruelty and sexual abuse under the rug,” said MFA’s executive director, Nathan Runkle.

“Without Mercy For Animals’ investigation, sadistic animal abuse and sexual molestation would have gone on undetected, unaddressed and unpunished. Idaho has some of the weakest animal cruelty laws in the nation.

Lawmakers should be focusing on strengthening these pathetic laws, not silencing whistleblowers in an attempt to protect corrupt corporations.”

We must put a stop to this dangerous legislationClick here to sign the petition calling on Idaho governor Butch Otter to veto this dangerous bill.

Michael David Parker, 45, was arrested Friday on suspicion of animal cruelty after little Cow Cow was found lifeless in a back alley in Hawthorne. Police released a disturbing surveillance video that they say shows Parker driving his sedan straight over the helpless pooch, and then zooming away.

Viewer Discretion Strongly Advised

A southern California man intentionally mowed down his pint-sized pet Chihuahua using his Nissan Maxima — and the heartless act was caught by two surveillance cameras, police said Monday.

Michael David Parker, 45, was arrested Friday on suspicion of felony animal cruelty after the precious pooch, named Cow Cow, was found lifeless in a back alley in Hawthorne, Calif.

Michael David Parker, 45, of Hawthorne, Calif., was arrested Friday on suspicion of animal cruelty after his pet Chihuahua, Cow Cow, was found dead in a back alley.

In the disturbing surveillance video released by police, Parker is seen driving his four-door sedan into the alley on Dec. 28, getting out of his vehicle, opening and closing the trunk and then climbing back into the car.

Seconds later, Cow Cow scurries out from behind the vehicle and darts in front of it.

Parker then backs up and points the car straight at the helpless hound. He guns the engine and zooms over the dog without stopping.

Video showing the back of the car shows 5-year-old Cow Cow writhing on the road until he turns motionless.

Police say Parker (pictured) admits he was in the alley that afternoon but claims he didn’t mean to harm Cow Cow.

‘It’s shocking,’ Hawthorne Police Lt. Scott Swain told the Daily News. ‘You never expect to see a little animal like that run over and left there to die.’

“It’s shocking. You never expect to see a little animal like that run over and left there to die without the driver even looking back,” Hawthorne Police Lt. Scott Swain told the Daily News.

EVIL Michael David Parker

“It wasn’t an accident. He purposefully did it.”

Lt. Swain said Parker admits he was in the alley that afternoon but claims he didn’t mean to harm the defenceless dog.

The dog had been staying with a neutral third-party after Parker and his wife recently split up, he said.

“There’s not indication it was tied to a domestic dispute,” Lt. Swain said Monday.

“We spoke to the wife, and she didn’t know it had happened. She didn’t give any indication it might have been payback.”

Parker posted $20,000 bail and was ordered back to court for arraignment on March 25.

POSTED: 01/06/14, UPDATED: 2 DAYS AGO By Larry Altman -larry.altman@langnews.com @larryaltman on Twitter

In a disturbing crime caught entirely on video, a 45-year-old man purposely drove over his pet Chihuahua, speeding away as the bloodied dog convulsed and died in a Hawthorne alley, police said Monday.

SICK POS!!!!

Michael David Parker, 45, of Hawthorne was arrested Friday on suspicion of animal cruelty. He was released from jail after posting $20,000 bail, Hawthorne police Lt. Scott Swain said.

“It’s a little poor defenceless dog and the guy just runs right over it and leaves and doesn’t offer any help,” Swain said.

Parker admitted to police that he’s in the video, but told detectives it was an accident. The shocking video, however, seems to suggest otherwise.

“You can see him swerving toward the dog,” Swain said.

Parker, the facilities manager at the Hustler Casino in Gardena, did not return a message left at his office. A friend of Parker’s estranged wife, Olga Parker, told the Daily Breeze that the killing stemmed from a bitter divorce. The couple’s two dogs, Cow Cow and Lucky, lived at the couple’s otherwise vacant house on First Street in San Pedro. Olga Parker stopped by every day to feed them. Now that Cow Cow has been found dead, Olga Parker is concerned about Lucky, who is missing.

“She is so distraught right now,” the friend said. “He knew that Olga loved these dogs desperately.”

Police and animal control officers began an investigation Thursday when a resident reported the dead animal in an alley off El Segundo Boulevard and Doty Avenue. The dog had been dead for several days, so someone had placed it in a plastic bag, Swain said.

The resident went to police after reviewing surveillance video focused on the alley. The video shows a man pulling into the alley on Dec. 28 and, after a couple of minutes, running over the dog, Swain said.

“The resident was shocked,” Swain said. “I went over there with a detective Friday morning. I watched it and you are horrified.”

The video shows the man get out of his car and open the trunk. He then gets back into his car. The male dog, 5-1/2-year-old Cow Cow, which had presumably been in the trunk, runs forward and stops in the center of the alley.

Parker backs his vehicle up, and then appears to accelerate rapidly, steering directly toward the dog,” Swain said. “Cow Cow is run completely over.”

A second video shot from the rear of the car shows the dog writhing on the ground until it dies.

“It’s gruesome,” Swain said. “It starts bleeding, his little back leg twitching.”

Police said the motive for the crime was unknown, even though Parker and his wife are estranged.

“There’s no indication that’s it, ‘I’m angry at you. That’s why I’m doing that,’ ” Swain said. “It is both of their dogs. So we don’t have a motive. He was arrested and he didn’t want to go into details. He didn’t indicate why he did it.”

But Parker’s estranged wife’s friend, who asked to remain anonymous for his own protection, said Parker became irate Dec. 28 when she refused to sign their San Pedro house over to him.

“He made threats against her and her family,” the friend said. “He said, ‘You are going to sign these documents or else.’ ”

Olga Parker filed for divorce in the summer of 2011 following 16 years of marriage. The couple have three children — two boys ages 15 and 12, and a 6-year-old daughter. Parker has since had a child with a new girlfriend.

The divorce settlement has slowly been making its way through family court. The friend said cutbacks in the Superior Court system in Los Angeles County have slowed the process.

Parker and his estranged wife both moved out of their San Pedro residence, but Parker wants to take control of it, the wife’s friend said.

“This guy is just a piece of work,” the friend said. “He believes he is above the law because of his position with Larry Flynt.”

Flynt, a famous publisher of pornographic magazines, owns the Hustler Casino where Parker works.

The friend described the missing dog, Lucky, as a black mutt, with a white underside.

Olga Parker has told her children that the dogs are gone and that one was killed. One child told his mother he did not believe his father would do such a thing, the friend said.

Parker is scheduled for arraignment March 25 at the Airport courthouse in Del Aire.

“This has gone too far,” the friend said. “If this guy doesn’t go to jail for this, there is no justice.”

Georgia Man Arested For Beheading And Stabbing Puppies

Comments Off on Georgia Man Arested For Beheading And Stabbing Puppies

“OMG…this POS must be mentally impaired, as no sane person would do such despicable things to innocent puppies! His name & picture need to be on any Animal Abuse Registers & on every shelter wall. I hope he rots in jail, where hopefully another inmate might show him more things one can do with a pair of scissors 🙂  (sorry some posts are outdated but I feel some stories need to be told; especially if it may help others by sharing an image of the offending party) My apologise to anyone who sent me stories to be posted & they haven’t been done yet, I’m splitting my time between so many different things, I’m meeting myself coming backwards!!”

By Eric W. Dolan – Tuesday, August 13, (No updates seen as yet)

A man in Cobb County, Georgia has been arrested for allegedly mutilating two puppies his neighbors gave him to watch.

Robert Williams Davis

Robert Williams Davis, 38, was arrested just before midnight on Saturday after police officers found the dogsdead bodies in a wooded area behind his house.

A 14-year-old neighbour of Davis had given him and his girlfriend the two pit bull puppies. A pit bull rescue group was going to pick the dogs up within a few days. But the neighbour, Tyler Tedesco, learned that Davis had killed the two puppies. He called 911.

“I saw that, I dropped what I was doing and just walked away. I couldn’t bear to see that because I raised those dogs,” Tedesco told WSBTV.

Davis allegedly killed both puppies with a pair of scissors. Police said one dog was beheaded, while the other was stabbed in the throat. It is unclear why Davis killed the puppies.

“We all ran back to the house and cried. As soon as we saw it, it was something nobody wants to go through or see. And it’s really hard for all of us to know that somebody could even do that to a poor innocent animal,” Tedesco said.

Davis was charged with two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and three counts of tampering with evidence. He is being held on $250,000 bond.

United Airlines: Have Pet Safe Program policies changed to protect the animal and owner.

Petition byMichele Gonzalez-Helm oceanside, NY:-

OUR PETS ARE NOT BAGGAGE. The airline lobby may be huge, but the American pet owners “lobby” is worth 45 billion dollars a year and we demand change. We can make change if we stand together with our family members who cannot stand up for themselves.

THE CHANGE WE WANT: Fully disclose the number of total animal deaths that occur to the Department of Transportation, not just pets.

The airlines to be held liable for wrongful deaths of our pets as living creatures and not as “baggage.” An independent third-party, not the airline, be in charge of the autopsy and the investigation into cause of a pets death.

Pets For Life; Created by Bob Stark

Nationwide ground transportation for your four-legged loved ones, reducing the number of animals mishandled (and worse!) by airline personnel.

Hi.  We’re Pets For Life, a ground transportation company on a mission.  We are a group of four people from Springfield, Missouri.  We have performed many long distance trips transporting pets all over the lower 48 States to rave reviews!  The funds raised will be used for two transport vehicles and related equipment necessary for the safe and comfortable movement of animals to their forever homes.

With combined commercial experience totalling over 200,000 accident and incident-free miles, we are confident in our unique ability to safely move your pets over great distances.  We are passionate about the well-being of these animals as though they were our own.  We are in constant contact with both the senders and receivers of these precious passengers, updating them as to our progress while en route, and advising them of any unforeseen delays.  We also abide by any special instructions as they relate to the handling of and caring for our clients’ pets.

Your contributions will help us to achieve our goal of saving as many of these animals as possible, from mistreatment and neglect (and MUCH worse !), while in the hands of airline baggage handlers and others.

What we need & what you get.

Our goal is to raise $96,300.  Funds will be used for two transport vehicles, and specially designed safety gear for the protection and safety of our animals.  Items such as transport kennels in three sizes allowing the pets to stand up, turn completely around, stretch and recline while on the move.  Additionally, these kennels will be held in place inside the vehicles with the use of “e-rails” anchored to the interior walls of the vehicles with ratchet straps connecting to and securing the kennels in place.  And of course, food, water and frequent potty stops will be provided for additional comfort and well-being of our four-legged passengers.  Our primary mission is to provide loving and caring handling of our clients’ pets while in transit.

In exchange for your contributions, we are offering unique items for your pets, ranging from monogrammed retractable leashes and stainless steel food and water bowls, up to whole doghouse warmers !  For our strongest contributors, we want to say “Thank You” in a very special way by providing free transportation* !

Here is a link that discusses some of the many perils of transporting your pet by air.  If you cannot click the link, be sure to copy and paste it to your browser.  It’s informative !

https://www.msu.edu/~silvar/airplane.htm

We understand that not all of our readers are able to contribute at this time.  That doesn’t mean you can’t be a part of our campaign team!  If you share our compassion for pets of all breeds, tell everyone you know about what we’re trying to accomplish with this mission!  Be sure to use Indiegogo’s Share Tools to spread the word.  We want everybody to take notice of what our mission represents in the form of animal cruelty and neglect.  We can, after all, only provide safe transportation to a small fraction of the over 500,000 pets that are transported by air each year.

While providing safe rides for a small percentage of travelling animals, we hope that by doing so, we, along with all of our contributors and other vocal advocates, we can create a much larger ‘voice’….  one that says, “We are appalled by the treatment of pets by their airline handlers, and we seek to do something about it !”

Dog Dies In Asbury Park After Being Left Out In The Heat

Comments Off on Dog Dies In Asbury Park After Being Left Out In The Heat

ASBURY PARK – Two city residents have been charged with animal cruelty after two Pit Bulls were left out in the sun with no water or shade on Wednesday, resulting in the death of one of the dogs, police said.

Juanita White, 48, owned the dogs and Davina L. Kearney, 30, was watching the dogs, named Boogie and Monster, at her home on Ridge Avenue, Monmouth County SPCA Chief Victor Amato said. Both women were charged with animal cruelty.

“[The dogs] tried to save themselves by digging holes in the ground over a foot and a half deep to get out of the sun,” Amato said.

Monster tried to jump a chain link fence to reach shade in a neighbours yard and hung himself, Amato said, while Boogie was chained to the fence and alive when police arrived after a neighbour alerted authorities.

“These two dogs in that back yard no doubt barked and cried for a long time before the one died,” Amato said.

Both women were charged with failure to provide proper shelter, failure to provide proper water, procuring the death of the dogs and were released on their own recognizance.

Amato said people need to use common sense with animals and the heat.

“If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for the dogs”

Graphic Video: Pet Groomer Caught On Tape Abusing Dogs Get The Boot

Comments Off on Graphic Video: Pet Groomer Caught On Tape Abusing Dogs Get The Boot

“Okay…what’s the name of this POS This abuser needs more than getting the boot, I hope many complain so an investigation can be started & she be found guilty & have to pay for her crime. If I found out my dog groomer was abusing any of my dogs, God help him…Wheelchair or not I would kick his butt to hell! then run over him!!”

On June 13, 2013, a pet stylist from Fur Kids Daycare in Calgary, Canada, was fired after she was caught on tape abusing dogs.

The video shows the abuser using a brush to hit a pet client while the innocent animal cowers to protect himself from the blows. On a separate clip, the abuser is also seen using a vacuum cleaner pole to drag a dog out of its kennel.

Global News report says the tape was secretly recorded by former employee Trina Riel.

“It’s absolutely disgusting,” said Riel. “There were days when I would end up tearing up in the grooming room. I’d have to go outside and say I was going on a break, and I would just hide my face.”

Dean Miles, owner of Fur Kids Daycare, spoke with the Calgary Herald and said this was the first time any allegations of abuse have been brought against his employees.

“The safety of our dogs is the most important thing because that’s our business,” said Miles.

The Calgary Humane Society has opened an investigation against the pet groomer and is asking the public to come forward if they believe and have evidence of their animals being abused by the same person.

“The number of calls we’ve received has been overwhelming,” said Christy Thompson, general manager of community relations for the Calgary Humane Society. “Calgary and the public have been completely outraged by the video.

Anybody who believes that their animal has been in contact with this particular groomer, please give us a call. The more evidence we have the better.”

Dog Groomer Abuses Animals At Calgary Grooming Salon

Published on 14 Jun 2013

A groomer at a downtown dog daycare and grooming facility was fired Thursday evening after allegations of animal abuse surfaced late last week, the daycare’s owner confirmed.Dean Miles, who owns Fur Kids Daycare, said he was shown videos last Friday that showed the groomer apparently striking a dog and trying to force another out of a kennel using a vacuum cleaner. The videos were allegedly taken last Tuesday by a former employee, who was also the groomer’s apprentice, Miles said.

“The safety of our dogs is the most important thing because that’s our business,” Miles said. “When things like this happen, you’ve got to react to it.”This is the first time there have been any allegations of animal abuse at the daycare, said Miles.

The Calgary Humane Society is currently investigating and has seen “several” videos, said Brad Nichols, head of the Calgary Humane Society’s protection and investigations department.”We’re lookingat the video, we’re gathering statements, and once we have everything compiled, we’ll send it to the Crown prosecutor’s office for an opinion on appropriate enforcement action, if any,” Nichols said. The Humane Society receives a “handful” of abuse allegations against groomers and boarders each year, he said.

Chihuahua Recovering After Owner’s Grandson Beat It Then Stuffed It In A 350-degree Oven

Comments Off on Chihuahua Recovering After Owner’s Grandson Beat It Then Stuffed It In A 350-degree Oven

“Thank God, this sick bxxxxxd’s brother came back & found Kudo in time; I dread to think what would have happened, had he not! This is just another reason, why we need Animal Abuse Registers, he already confessed to having anger issues; so why wait until he hurts somebody else? Once his case has been dealt with, his name will slip into the abyss; along with all the other animal abusers! So for the protection of the public & their pets, these maniacs need to be kept track off…just like paedophiles are!!”

A 20-year-old Oregon man has admitted to stuffing his grandmother’s tiny Chihuahua in a 350-degree oven after repeatedly punching it in the head because it nipped him.

Kevin Dean Parrish said he may have cooked the dog alive on Friday, but his brother came home and interrupted the horrific animal abuse

Little Kudo, a Chihuahua-pincher mix, suffered cuts and bruises from the beating, as well as singed hair and burns on his paws that were so severe he had trouble standing.

Veterinarians say the six-year-old dog is expected to make a full recovery after Parrish’s family nursed it back to health.

Parrish, who says he has ‘anger issues,’ lives with his grandmother in Lyons, Oregon, and was caring for her dog while she is out of state.

He told police that he was pre-heating the oven to cook enchiladas for his lunch on Friday when he went to check on Kudo in his cage.

Parrish, who is 5-foot-11 and weighs 200 pounds, said he became enraged when the little dog nipped his hand.

‘Anger problems’: Kevin Dean Parrish, 20, admitted to abusing the dog

He took Kudo out of his cage and punched the nine-pound dog in the head several times.

He also admitted to police that he choked the dog.

After battering the animal, he said, he decided to stuff it in the oven, which was heated to 350 degrees.

It is unknown exactly how long the dog was inside before Parrish’s brother came home and saw what was happening.

The suspect’s brother took the dog to a veterinarian and his father called police.

Parrish faces felony aggravated animal abuse charges.

Ailing Man Desperate To Find Foster Home For His Dog

Comments Off on Ailing Man Desperate To Find Foster Home For His Dog

“Video to follow, sorry can’t add it to this post!

I’m praying someone out there will take Magnum into foster while his owner gets better…the whole family have been through so much, their dog is their rock & a big part of the family. Please share this around Face Book etc. let’s get this dog a happy home so his owner can recover safe in the knowledge his best friend is being cared for”

For Brent Witten his dog Magnum means the world. Unfortunately recent health problems have made it impractical for Witten to care for Magnum until he gets back on his feet.

Now the Nampa, Idaho man and his family are looking for a foster home for Magnum so they don’t have to send him to the pound.

Back in December Witten was in a restaurant when he collapsed. Witten would spend weeks in the ICU on life support. Doctors aren’t sure if it was a seizure or a stroke, but Witten was left immobilized. Witten is doing better, but is confined in a wheelchair with limited mobility. His doctors believe it will take about eight months for Witten to regain his mobility.

Initially Witten’s ex-wife was caring for Magnum, but last month she passed away from cancer. In the interim Witten’s daughter, Laura, has been caring for Magnum. However, with the recent death of her mother, her father in rehab and several kids to look after she is unable to care for Magnum properly.

With all that the family has been through in the past months Magnum has been there for them. “He can sense when you are down,” said Laura. “He will come up to me when I am having a rough day and he will nudge me and try to cheer me up, almost like he is saying ‘I am here.’” Witten would be devastated if Magnum had to be sent to the pound so he’s hoping someone out there can foster his beloved dog until he is mobile again. “I am looking for someone to take care of him until I get back on my feet,” said Witten.

Magnum is a sweet dog, that loves kids and would do well with most families. If you can help contact KBOI2 news at 208-472-2224 and they will connect you with Laura Witten.

St. Albans Couple Faces Felony Animal Cruelty Charges

Comments Off on St. Albans Couple Faces Felony Animal Cruelty Charges

St. Albans , Kanawha County , West Virginia –

“Stupid morons, I hope they do get jail, nothing less than they deserve! Were the horses out to pasture or stabled? If Stabled surely even a child of 7 would know that animals need feeding.  But if the animals were out to pasture, then the same 7 year old would probably think, they got grass, their ok. Which ever it was, the owners didn’t give clear instructions, that, or the teenager just couldn’t be arsed to feed them; but it’s still down to the owners! Video will be posted to twitter & Facebook separately, I cant add it here!

A Saint Albans couple faces felony animal cruelty charges for allegedly allowing one horse to starve to death and nearly starving a second.

It’s not a place you would expect to find horses starving and dead from starvation. But one look at a 600-pound mare who should weigh 900 pounds is evidence of a serious problem .

The problem led to the arrest of Anita Weber and felony charges against both her and her husband, Arthur.

The criminal complaint states veterinarian Clara Mason witnessed one horse die and assessed the surviving animal at 300 pounds underweight. A humane officer said the couple had allegedly left a teenager in charge of the horses’ care with disastrous results.

“The parents put the care of the horses in their son’s hands to teach him responsibility or something along those lines,” said Joshua Mullins, a humane officer in Kanawha County.

Senior magistrate Kim Blair set a $10,000 bond for the library employee, plus payment for the surviving horse’s care.

The care of the animals has turned into more a case of criminal responsibility than teaching a child responsibility. Both could face prison time if convicted.
