I have gotten used to being disappointed by government but today’s shocking decision by the Supreme Court legalizing some types of bestiality leaves me speechless

The Supreme Court upheld the acquittal of a BC man on charges of bestiality, stemming from sexual abuse involving one of his daughters and the family dog. The reason for the acquittal was because the court deemed bestiality to have “a well-established legal meaning and refers to sexual intercourse between a human and an animal.” In other words, it only applies in the case of penetration and not to any other type of non-penetrative sexual activity.

“Please let’s not forget the daughter, she will have to live with this for life!”

In the 6-1 decision, the sole voice of reason was Justice Rosalie Abella who wrote:

“Acts with animals that have a sexual purpose are inherently exploitative whether or not penetration occurs.”  Unfortunately her colleagues didn’t agree. Now it falls to Parliament to change the law to include both types of sexual activity.

This loophole was exposed last year when the case was sent to the Supreme Court. It is mystifying why Parliament wouldn’t have dealt with it immediately. Instead it appears to be slowed down as part of an omnibus bill that was introduced into the Parliament back in February. What’s going on? My producer wrote to the Justice Department to find out.

Are you kidding me?

Fixing this section of the act requires a revision to the Criminal Code to enshrine a broader definition for bestiality. It only takes one sentence to clarify the law. The Supreme Court ruling so offends community values I have no doubt it would pass through both the House of Commons and the Senate in five seconds. It doesn’t “deserve careful study”. It doesn’t need “broad consultations with Canadians.” It just needs Parliament to do its job. Just get it done.

Man Charged With Possessing Pornographic Images of Bestiality

“Yet another pervert who is not content with harming animals to satisfy his lust, he indulges with children too! Seriously, I’ve thought about this a lot…we don’t need animal abuse registers, just add another page to the Paedophile Register; put their names on that. Seems it is often the case, where many who partake in the disgusting sick act of bestiality or enjoy abusing & hurting animals are one way or another, at some point in their sick lives; involved with criteria that means they are, or should be; put on the Paedophile Register!

Give the police a head start so they can keep an eye on those who have already hurt or abused animals & may just go on to commit a crime that warrants them being on the Paedophile Register!! “

A South Godstone man has appeared in court charged with 12 offences.

Bryan Vincent Thornhill, of Langham Road, is charged with five charges of possessing pornographic images of bestiality with a dog or horse, which was “grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character”.

He is also charged with one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image.

He is also charged with six further offences which were engaging in a sexual act, while in the presence of a child under the age of 13, for sexual gratification.

Thornhill, 59, pleaded not guilty to all counts at Guildford Crown Court today (Friday).

He was released on conditional bail, with conditions not to contact directly or indirectly a named child, or to go within 50m of a named school – unless agreed by social services.

He will next appear at the same court on October 21.

Convicted Sex Offender Sentenced: Up To 15 Years In Prison For BESTIALITY

“At last, a Judge who actually cares enough about animals, to use the powers given to him; to encaserate this sick bxxxxxd!! Lets just hope Judge Timothy Hicks, uses his  influence & balls, to put this depraved repugnant pig, who is a fourth time offender; behind bars for the maximum number of years possible! This is yet another case which points out the obvious…these rancorous reprobates, can’t be cured, don’t want to be cured & will re-offended; given the opportunity…so judges should be making sure these repulsive sickos are not given the convenience to re-offend so easily!! 

Animals do not have a voice, they cannot give consent before a human has sex with them; therefore it is rape! Raping an animal is yet another valid reason, why every state & city should be setting up Animal Abuse Registers! Just as Peodophile Registers are used, police can cross reference names & keep tabs on animal rapists, abusers etc. Animal charities such as the ASPCA, RSPCA etc. can use the Register to check names of job applicants or before adopting out animals. History has proven many times, that some offenders start a life of crime by abusing or raping animals, then turn predator to human victims. So…FFS…what more proof do the powers that be need; before they get Animal Abuse Registers implemented ASAP??

A convicted sex offender from Michigan has been sentenced to one-to-15 years in a state prison for repeatedly having sex with dogs.

Kurtis Peterson learned his fate on Monday when Judge Timothy Hicks went above state sentencing guidelines to keep the repeat offender in a controlled environment to prevent him from re-offending.

Under state guidelines, Peterson would have been sentenced to time in a county jail and probation, but because he had already served 321 days behind bars, Peterson would have been released almost immediately.

The 37-year-old Muskegon man pleaded no contest last March to ‘the abominable and detestable crime against nature,’ also known as sodomy or bestiality, and charged as a fourth-time habitual offender.

Peterson’s attorney, Belinda Barbier, said in court that her client has serious mental health issues that require long-term counseling, and the judge agreed that the defendant has ‘pretty low cognitive ability.’  

However, experts at the Michigan Center for Forensic Psychiatry earlier examined Peterson and determined that he was sane while sexually abusing the animals, and he was competent to stand trial.

The first incident involving Peterson took place April 2010 at his apartment at 230 Amity Avenue in Muskegon when he was caught kneeling naked behind his blue heeler on his bed, having sex with the pet, according to testimony by an eyewitness cited by MLive.com. 

In early June, the same witness said she walked in on a naked Peterson apparently having sex with a white pit bull on the floor of his living room. The 37-year-old man was arrested a short time after the second incident.

Silent victims

Testifying at a preliminary hearing about the April incident, the witness, Joyce Yeaw, said Peterson told her he was ‘just hugging his dog,‘ but the woman said it looked like a lot more than an embrace between an owner and his pooch.

Yeaw testified that she and a friend stopped by Peterson’s home to return car keys they had borrowed from his roommate when they caught him in the act. She said she called 911, but no arrest was made until June. 

‘He was having sex with the dog,’ Yeaw said in court at the time. ‘It was disgusting.‘

Muskegon police detective Peter Boterenbrood, who interviewed Peterson after the June incident, said that Peterson told him he was ‘just playing with the dog’ in April, but he became sexually aroused from accidental contact with the animal’s rear.

Court records show that Peterson was convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in 1996 in Allegan County, and in 2010 for carrying a concealed weapon and making a false report of a felony.

Indiana Judge Won’t Order DNA Sample From Man Accused Of Bestiality

“This man is a deranged psycho; who for the protection of all should be behind bars! Yet a Judge denies new evidence via DNA?? WHY…will it include more work for this case & interfere with the judges weekend?? WTF…just who the hell are we trying to protect here? CROWN POINT, Ind. — Lake Superior Court Judge Diane Ross Boswell denied a request by the state for a DNA sample of a Lowell, Ind., man charged with theft, bestiality, killing a domestic animal and torturing or mutilating a vertebrate animal.

Boswell told deputy prosecutor Mark Watson that he must obtain a search warrant to get a new DNA sample, called a buccal swab, from Michael Charles Bessigano, 42.

Defense attorney Casey McCloskey said if the defendant objects to providing the DNA sample, a search warrant is required based on case law.”Object? WTF…he shouldn’t have such rights after what he has done…are we protecting animals or those that abuse them??”

In the four Lake Superior Court felony division courtrooms, DNA sample requests are routinely granted without a search warrant being issued.

Watson said prosecutors already have a DNA sample from one of Bessigano’s prior cases dating back four or five years. Watson told the judge that if the case goes to trial, jurors might wonder what Bessigano did in the previous case, and he was unsure of the condition of the DNA sample and its packaging from the prior case.

The judge gave Watson the opportunity to file a brief citing case law on the issue.

Boswell agreed to order evaluations by two mental health professionals to determine if Bessigano is competent to stand trial.

He was charged earlier this month after authorities in November discovered a Guinea hen that had been sexually assaulted and killed at Buckley Homestead County Park. Several animals have been missing from the park since July.

The attorney for a man charged with bestiality, killing a domestic animal, torturing or mutilating a vertebrate animal and theft is seeking evaluations by mental health professionals to determine the man’s competency to stand trial.

Defense attorney Casey McCloskey filed the request on behalf of Michael Charles Bessigano, 42, who was charged March 8 after authorities discovered a mutilated Guinea hen on Nov. 14 at Buckley Homestead County Park in Lowell. Several animals had disappeared from the county park since July 2012.

Meanwhile, deputy prosecutor Mark Watson filed a request for a DNA sample, which was set for hearing on March 27 before Lake Superior Court Judge Diane Ross Boswell.

On Nov. 14, the dead fowl was found in a trash can with damage to its anus. A search warrant served at Bessigano’s apartment in the 1600 block of Crestwood Drive resulted in the discovery of feathers from the dead bird and bloody blue jeans Bessigano was wearing.

Police found a significant amount of bestiality pornography, a large rubber wolf head mask and a “ritual room” with an altar, candles and long staffs, one of which contained a large feather on one end and a trident on the other end.

Bessigano has pleaded not guilty to the crimes, which are class D felonies and punishable by a sentence of six months to three years. He is being held without bond until March 26, when he can post $5,000 cash, or $50,000 surety.

Bessigano has served prison time for killing a chicken while having sex with it at the Valparaiso Motel in 2001. While on parole in August 2007 and living in a psychiatric facility in Gary, authorities confiscated thousands of pages of writings, journals, photos, magazines and drawings describing or depicting sexual contact between humans and animals.

Child Porn with Bestiality, Bondage Found in Ravenswood Home

A Ravenswood man admitted to possessing more than 2,500 videos and images of child pornography—some with children as young as one.

The announcement came Friday afternoon from the Cook County Sheriff’s office.

Seamus Webb, 51, was arrested Thursday and charged with four felonies for disseminating and possessing child pornography. Police said the images included bestiality and bondage of minors.

Cook County Sheriff’s Police Child Exploitation Unit found Webb in his apartment on the 1600 block of West Carmen Ave and arrested him without incident.

The arrest occurred after police received a search warrant based on information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, police said. Officers confiscated several computers and other items.

The charges—all class X felonies—include aggravated child pornography, dissemination; aggravated child pornography possession; child pornography, possession of pictures; child pornography possession of movies.

Bond for Webb was set at $100,000. His next court date is scheduled for April 11.

GERMANY: Sex With Animals NOW Banned

GERMANY’S upper house of parliament, the Bundesrat, has voted to criminalise for the first time ”using an animal for personal sexual activities” and to punish offenders with fines of as much as $34,000.

It was the final legislative hurdle for a bill the lower house passed in December.

The vote follows months of debate that pitted so-called zoophiles against animal rights and protection advocates. Sexual mores seemed not to play a paramount role.

The ban, which carries only a misdemeanor charge, is an amendment to the country’s animal protection law, which, among other things, regulates animal testing and the sale of animals, and prohibits animal abuse, including ”using an animal for personal sexual activities or making them available to third parties for sexual activities and thereby forcing them to behave in ways that are inappropriate to their species”.

Zoophiles argue that their relationships with their pets, or ”partners” as they prefer, are entirely mutual. Michael Kiok, a co-director of Zoophilic Engagement for Tolerance and Enlightenment (ZETA), said animals were perfectly capable of expressing whether or not they desired sex. “Since last I looked, my dog couldn’t talk, I’m sure that goes for all animals…so how the hell can they express it, flash their bloody eyelashes?? Without a verbal consent, in a court of law…I believe it is still rape!!

Animal-rights groups have criticised the move. But David Zimmermann, who is also a co-director of ZETA, said: ”It’s a sexual aspect that is entirely foreign to most people. They just see a man and think, ‘What terrible things is he doing to that dog?’ “That would be because 99% of  normal people do think its sick & a terrible thing to do…it’s not bloody natural & definitely not the way nature intended it to be either?”

Mr Zimmermann had a Great Dane with which he occasionally had sex but it died four months ago, he said. Now he lives with his similarly zoophilic boyfriend and their celibate Dalmatian. “So now they have decided the dog is celibate??? 

”For me, she’s just a good friend that I care about very, very much. There’s no sex,’‘ he said. “So you say, but how do we know that for sure??”

Milton Couple Faces Bestiality, Drug Charges

“WTF…this couple has kids, what the hell they doing growing illegal drugs & raping dogs?? However, don’t expect a prison sentence, as they have not stolen anything!”

TORONTO – A couple from rural Nassagaweya Twp. face bestiality charges after being busted for allegedly growing pot in a dog kennel, Halton Regional Police said Friday.

Officers executed a search warrant Thursday at the farmhouse on 20th Sdrd., about 70 km west of Toronto, and located a ”sophisticated” indoor marijuana grow-op, police said.

But pot was not all they allegedly found.

“While searching the residence, (officers) seized evidence related to bestiality involving a dog,” police said.

Investigators did not elaborate on what that “evidence” included.

But they claim about $9,500 in harvested marijuana, an undisclosed amount of anabolic steroids and a 12-gauge shotgun were also found in the house.

Two young kids were living at the residence with the accused couple, police said.

The grow-op was allegedly found in a separate building next to the house, both of which are tucked about 500 metres back from the road on the sprawling snow-covered property 20 km northwest of Milton.

Police allege more than 1,600 plants worth about $210,000 were seized from the building, which they claim also housed a dog kennel.

Residents of the area near Mohawk Racetrack, many of whom are horse owners, were shocked to learn of the pot operation in their sleepy community.

And they were even more disturbed by the bestiality accusations.

One neighbour said an “extremely private” older couple, possibly in their 60s, own the home.

It’s unclear how the home-owners are connected to the accused couple, both 34, and the children.

Neighbours said the older man breeds salukis, which are similar to greyhounds, and they suspect that is why there is a kennel on the property.

The home-owners’ donkey is also often seen wandering around the grounds.

Ryan Brett and Donna Fleury were arrested and charged with bestiality and firearms-related offences.

Brett also faces drug possession, production and trafficking charges.

Fleury has since been released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.

Brett appeared briefly in a Milton courtroom Friday and was remanded into custody, so he’ll spend at least the weekend behind bars.

Cedar Springs Man Faces Sex Charge Again, This Time Involving A Dog

“WTF…his fourth felony…when will judges grow some bloody balls & start dishing out sentences that actually have some affect, at the first offence?? This is kind of like ‘told you so’.  This fxxxxxg ugly knob Jokey needs to be monitored at all times; definitely no contact with any animals in the future, period!! I’m sick of posting about repeat sex offenders & seeing shop lifters receiving more severe sentences etc.!”

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A Cedar Springs man faces a possible life sentence after he was charged with sodomy this week for allegedly having sex with a dog, his fourth felony offence. “Never mind ‘Possible’…defo! Charles Ralph Horton, 57, is lodged in the Kent County Jail on a $500,000 cash/surety bond. If released, he must remain at home on a tethering device, a judge stipulated at Horton’s arraignment this week.

The sexual contact, with a lab/shepherd mix, occurred from August through November 2012 at locations on Lexington Avenue and 20 Mile Road Northwest, police say.

In court records, authorities called the act an “abominable and detestable crime.”

“The defendant was a person whose sexual behaviour was characterized by repetitive acts which indicate a disregard of the consequences or the recognized rights of others,” records say. “There is a clue in that sentence, for any judge too bloody to notice prior offences… REPETITIVE!!” 

Horton was previously convicted of second-degree criminal sexual conduct in Muskegon County in 1991.

Records show convictions of burglary and breaking and entering, in the 1980s.

Woman Has Sex With Dog, Boyfriend Photographs

“Sick & perverted; I just feel sorry for her child when she grows up & someone tells her what mummy did with a dog!” 

Samantha Golt and her boyfriend James Crow had a preliminary hearing Friday for their case in bestiality, where Golt had sex with a dog and Crow photographed it.

Samantha L. Golt, 24, and James P. Crow, 25, were each charged with one count of felony bestiality and one count of felony second-degree conspiracy.

According to Golt’s Facebook page she is the owner of three dogs, including pit bulls and pit bull mixes. She is also the mother of a 4-year-old girl.

Police say the sexual acts occurred in the woman’s home and that her boyfriend was also arrested for taking photos.

The investigation began last month when troopers received a “canine abuse tip” from a concerned neighbour on Dec. 28, Delaware State Police Master Corporal Gary E. Fournier told The Huffington Post via email. 

Authorities believe the offence occurred in Golt’s Wilford, Del. home sometime between August 31, 2012 and December 29, 2012.

Police confirmed Golt’s identity when Crow’s photographs were removed from the home as evidence and compared to her driver’s license photo.

On Wednesday, state police issued the couple an order to have no contact with any animal, Delaware State News reported. Authorities contacted the Kent County SPCA when the investigation began.

Golt and Crow were released after posting $12,000 bail apiece. According to NBC10 Philadelphia, Golt refused to comment when contacted Friday morning.

Golt allegedly hung up on a reporter when contacted at her home early Friday morning. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for today in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas in Dover.
