A South Godstone man has appeared in court charged with 12 offences.
Bryan Vincent Thornhill, of Langham Road, is charged with five charges of possessing pornographic images of bestiality with a dog or horse, which was “grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character”.
He is also charged with six further offences which were engaging in asexual act, while in the presence of a child under the age of 13, forsexual gratification.
Thornhill, 59, pleaded not guilty to all counts at Guildford Crown Court today (Friday).
He was released on conditional bail, with conditions not to contact directly or indirectly a named child, or to go within 50m of a named school – unless agreed by social services.
He will next appear at the same court on October 21.
Earlier, it was reported that Christopher Weissenrieder and the group of girls alleged to have been taking part in dog pornography were not going to be charged withbestiality when they were arraigned before a Mombasa Law Court Tuesday morning.
The Mombasa court even released the girls on a KSh100,000 bond each while Chris was released on a Ksh1 million bond and their case set to be heard in July.
Announcing this new development, blogger/journalist Dennis Itumbi lauded the DPP on the move.
Earlier, there was discomfort among Kenyans who aired their grievances via social media after it became apparent that both Chris and the girls were not going to face bestiality charges.
New York, May 12 (ANI): An Illinois man has been charged with animal cruelty after the cops, who were investigating him for a different crime, found out that he had sexually abused his pet peacock.
Authorities asserted that they discovered the pet bird, Phyl, dead in the 64-year- old’s garage on April 28, although particulars about how and when the peacock died were still unclear.
The cops revealed to the publication that they could not talk about the animal cruelty charges because they relate to a case involving a child.
In addition to the animal cruelty charge, court records show that Beckmann faces three other charges of harassment by telephone, two counts of marijuana possession, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, attempted indecent solicitation of a child and two counts of battery. (ANI)

CROWN POINT, Ind. — Lake Superior Court Judge Diane Ross Boswell denied a request by the state for a DNA sample of a Lowell, Ind., man charged with theft, bestiality, killing a domestic animal and torturing or mutilating a vertebrate animal.
Boswell told deputy prosecutorMark Watsonthat he must obtain asearch warrantto get a new DNA sample, called abuccal swab, fromMichael Charles Bessigano, 42.

In the four Lake Superior Court felony division courtrooms, DNA sample requests are routinely granted without a search warrant being issued.
Watson said prosecutors already have a DNA sample from one of Bessigano’s prior casesdating back four or five years. Watson told the judge that if the case goes to trial, jurors might wonder whatBessigano did in the previous case, and he was unsure of the condition of the DNA sample and its packaging from the prior case.
The judge gave Watson the opportunity to file a brief citing case law on the issue.
Boswell agreed to order evaluations by two mental health professionals to determine ifBessiganoiscompetent to stand trial.
He was charged earlier this month after authorities in November discovered aGuineahen that had been sexually assaulted and killed at Buckley Homestead County Park. Several animals have been missing from the park since July.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A Cedar Springs man faces a possible life sentence after he was charged with sodomy this week for allegedly having sex with a dog, his fourth felony offence. “Never mind ‘Possible’…defo! Do people not care about the suffering of the animals? How is the dog? no mention of that! If they had a voice they would be screaming!!”

Charles Ralph Horton, 57, is lodged in the Kent County Jail on a $500,000 cash/surety bond. If released, he must remain at home on a tethering device, a judge stipulated at Horton’s arraignment this week.
The sexual contact, with a lab/shepherd mix, occurred from August through November 2012 at locations on Lexington Avenue and 20 Mile Road Northwest, police say.
In court records, authorities called the act an “abominable and detestable crime.”
“The defendant was a person whose sexual behaviour was characterized by repetitive acts which indicate a disregard of the consequences or the recognized rights of others,” records say. “There is a clue in that sentence, for any judge too bloody to notice prior offences… REPETITIVE!!”
Horton was previously convicted of second-degree criminal sexual conduct in Muskegon County in 1991.
Records show convictions of burglaryand breaking and entering, in the 1980s.

A MAN who filmed himself having sex with a horse sent his ex-wife a video of the event.

Michael Francis Klan, 36, had intercourse with the beast at Fairney View and recorded the incident.
Klan then sent messages to his ex-wife asking if she would like to watch the footage or view any of his photographs of his encounter. “Perverse pig…what was the reason for committing such a disgusting violation against a sentient being…was this his way of asking her back??”
He then sent through a video of the act – which his ex took to the police. “Good for her”
Ipswich District Court was told Klan’s face was obscured in the video but he admitted to detectives that it was him having sex with the animal.
Crown prosecutor Caroline Marco told the court the offence was “disturbing (and) abhorrent” and was aggravated by Klan filming and distributing the material.
A psychiatrist said Klan clearly needed specialised treatment for his issues.
Judge Sarah Bradley said the offence was disgusting and something that outraged the community. She acknowledged it was committed in the context of a marriage breakdown when a number of issues in Klan’s background came to a head at once. “Disgusted & outraged, yet he only gets a suspended sentence?? People like this are disturbed & need to be constantly monitored so they don’t re-offend!”
She was satisfied two years’ probation would be the most appropriate sentence on the condition Klan attend any counselling, treatment or programs he was ordered to do.
Defence barrister Steve Kissick said Klan had had a difficult life leading up to the incident, which occurred on a date between April 23 and May 12. “We’ve all had difficult parts in our lives, but we don’t go out & rape animals…that can be no excuse!”
Mr Kissick said his client had since started a relationship with another woman.
Mr Kissick said Klan’s new girlfriend was supportive of him. “How can women be supportive of a man that committed rape on an innocent animal? And what of that horse? Who did it belong to, no news of the trauma he caused to the horse!!”
A woman is trying to catch a man she says broke into her barn on several occasions, sexually abused her miniature horses and then killed the guard dog they trained to protect them. “He has to be found before he commits any more heinous acts like this!”
Abby Conder, from Florida, said her miniature horse Joy – who she treats like one of her children – is traumatized and sustained life-threatening injuries after the man broke in and raped her in the recent attack – which have been taking place since May.
Mrs Conder said: ‘She had been severely brutalized, she had been raped both by a man and with several objects.

‘She had a large hematoma [sic] on the back and so bloody that she looked like her whole body had been put through a garbage disposal.’
The vet found bodily fluids inside the horse.
The Marion county sheriff investigators took a report but said they could not help unless the suspect was caught in the act.
The couple bought a dogto protect the horses but he was beaten to death as well.

Mrs Conder told Fox2: ‘We have to catch him in the act and then call the police. But we don’t want to die trying to protect our horses. The horse can’t fight, they don’t know to fight. They would go with anyone.

I’ve never shot a gun in my life but if I catch this man in this barn taking out another one of my horses and he’s gonna traumatize this young horse and hurt her internally like he has my other horses, I will come down and I will kill him.’ “Good for you girl, just make sure you aim at his private parts, where it’s gonna hurt the most & hopefully stop this heinous pastime!”
The horse owners then installed surveillance and a live internet feed. On Saturday the man once again sneaked into the barn, took one of the horses outside and performed the same abuse.
Mrs Conder is hoping that someone will recognize the man from the CCTV footage and they can put a stop to these heinous acts.
“Video of the vile creature walking through the barn at night, picking his next victim. If anybody recognises him, please get in touch with your nearest police station. This man has to be stopped before he commits more heinous crimes of bestiality & killing a dog; next time it could be a small child!! P.S Videos suitable for viewing!

However, New Glasgow resident Earle MacDonald is now accused of a differentsex crime.
Police seized MacDonald’s photography equipment and computers in Feb. 2011.
He was charged with possessing, accessing and distributingchild pornography four months later.
The computers were sent to a police lab for a full analysis, but it took 15 months before the forensic report was ready.
The courts say that is simply too long and today Nova Scotia’sInternet Prosecution team dismissed the charges due to unreasonable delay.
“But really this was a matter of, not if this could happen, but when this was going to happen,” says Crown attorney Craig Botterill.
“This is just the symptom of the growing pains in this particular field of law enforcement. The proliferation of Internet crimes against children is something we’re all struggling with keepingup with.”
Botterill says police resources have increased since the charges were laid and this kind of decision should not happen again.
MacDonald offered little comment as he left the Pictoucourtroom Thursday, but his lawyer says the judge’s message to the police lab is clear.
“When computers are sent to them for analysis, they must deal with it,” says Rob Sutherland.
MacDonald was issued a stay of proceedings on the child pornography charges just before the hearing Thursday morning.
However, he was also charged with an additional offence – one count of bestiality.
“The language of the charge itself alleges that this was sex between the accused and a dog,” says Botterill.
MacDonald is due back in court Dec. 17 to answer to the bestiality charge.

A man accused of making bestiality pornography has lost his bid to keep his name a secret.
Norman Gary Wilson, 60,

appeared in the North Shore District Court this week where police added another two charges of making an objectionable publication to the one he faced at his first appearance in September.
He has previously pleaded guilty to two charges of unlawfully possessing a firearm and two of unlawfully possessing a pistol.
Wilson’s lawyer asked for interim name suppression to continue until his next appearance but Judge Thomas Everitt said there was no evidence the defendant would suffer “extreme hardship” should his name be released. “I Like this Judge”
“There may be some hardship but that’s inevitable in cases such as this … I’ve very little sympathy with your client’s plight,” he said.
His lawyer raised the issue of Wilson’s identification by old school friends and embarrassment to his son but the judge was not persuaded. “Tough shit, should have thought about that before you started messing about with bestiality porn…I do hope your friends & family can read your name above!”
“You have a common enough surname and you don’t live with your son,” he said.
Wilson’s bail conditions barred him from using the internet and at this week’s hearing he applied to have that reversed. “F-ing cheeky perv”
As an out of work builder, it was very difficult to find work without being able to browse adverts on line, his lawyer said.
Wilson had defaulted on his last two mortgage payments and the financial situation was getting worse, he said.
Again, Judge Everitt was not swayed.
“I appreciate [the bail conditions] are restrictive … however, it’s well known the difficulty with photos such as these is they frequently make their way on to the internet and are accessible by just about everybody,” he said.
The judge said the crown’s case against Wilson seemed particularly strong because of “the background to which [the photos] were taken“.
Wilson was bailed under the same conditions to reappear in the court next month! “OK who is going to follow him to make sure he doesn’t go into an internet cafe or borrow someone else’s laptop? I find bail conditions like this bloody stupid!”
