“Come on friends, if you think you have any information no matter how irrelative you think it might be, please contact the number below. This is a particularly nasty & violent crime, somebody wanted that poor dog to die a slow miserable death, anyone that can do that to a dog is a danger to society in general; evil bxxxxxd’s…watch video’s below!”

Animal Services in Hillsborough County, Florida are asking for the community’s help to find the person responsible for committing a horrible crime to a 2-year-old pit bull mix breed. The dog, who investigators have named Phoebe, was found buried up to her neck in sand and shot twice. It’s a miracle that she is alive.

On October 29th the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous call reporting shots fired at a vacant home.

Deputies arrived on the scene to find Phoebe buried alive in the backyard. Phoebe was rescued with the help of Animal Services officers. “What they saw was a dog, her head protruding from the ground still alive,” said Animal Services investigation manager Pam Perry. “The dog was whimpering. It appeared from the area in the backyard. There were blood trail. There was also blood coming from the dog’s head.”

Phoebe was brought to the emergency vet where she spent a week recovering. She not only had her gun shot wounds to recover from, but she weighed only 30 pounds. “It’s a miracle that this dog is even alive,” said Perry. Phoebe has survived and is putting weight on, but she will still need some time to completely recover from her injuries. Once she is recovered she will be looking for a good home.

Investigators are appealing to the community to please come forward with any information that they may have about this incident. The only lead they have received so far is from a neighbour who has seen teenagers hanging out at the vacant home. “Anyone please, please come forward. You can remain anonymous,” said Perry. If you have information you are asked to call Hillsborough Animal Services at (813) 744-5660.

Very Graphic Video: Live Export: Disaster in Pakistan

Comments Off on Very Graphic Video: Live Export: Disaster in Pakistan

Live animal export is an inherently cruel trade, which is why it is opposed by every animal protection organisation throughout the world. It continues for one reason only: profit. What might happen, if exported animals were deemed ‘unfit’ for human consumption and lost all of their economic value? It happened in Pakistan. The reality will shock you.

WARNING: graphic images have been censored however this video is still distressing.

STAND UP TO LIVE EXPORT CRUELTY

Today, every MP in Australia needs to hear one important message: The actions of the world’s largest live exporter, Wellard, have contributed to Australia’s worst live export disaster. They must be held to account and lose their export licence.

How did it happen? When a shipload of 21,000 sheep was rejected by Bahrain, Wellard had no legitimate contingency plan (despite this being a requirement of their export permit). They considered two options: 1. Kill the animals at sea and dump their bodies overboard; 2. Pakistan — a country that didn’t even have government approval to take sheep when the ship left Australia.

To avoid another disaster at sea, the Australian government fast tracked Pakistan’s approval to receive the sheep. But there was a glaring omission in this plan. Wellard failed to ensure that the Pakistan Government were willing to import a shipment that had been rejected by Bahrain over disease concerns.

Whether the animals were healthy or not became irrelevant — the Pakistan Government felt they had been deliberately deceived. Local authorities ordered the animals be culled, and Wellard lost complete control. Deemed ‘unfit’ for human consumption, and without economic value…

These animals were treated like worthless rubbish. Animals were dragged, beaten, their throats were sawn at with blunt knives before they were thrown into mass graves — some still alive hours later.

The Australian government has admitted that it’s beyond their control to prevent another ‘Pakistan’. MOUs with importing countries, to prevent shipments being rejected, have failed. Regulations to prevent cruelty on the scale seen in Indonesia last year, have failed.

What is profitable has never been the defining argument between right and wrong in any civilised society. It is offensive to the majority of caring people that profit continues to be used as justification for a trade that has been responsible for such suffering and cruelty.

Please urgently call on your federal MP and the Minister for Agriculture (Joe Ludwig) to ensure that Wellard loses their export licence for their role in this disaster. Importantly, please also remind your MP that you will not vote for a party that supports live exports.

The continuation of this trade brings shame to every caring person who knows that profits can never justify cruelty. But take heart — we are not alone. The majority of Australians want live exports to end. With your help, we will end live exports. Thanks to your efforts this trade is hanging by a thread. But we must speak up loudly today, for the animals who can’t.

Police Rescue A Puppy Found Buried Alive

Comments Off on Police Rescue A Puppy Found Buried Alive

“OMG…what sort of evil, sadistic, mind, could bury a puppy; barely a few days old? Was this the last of a litter that couldn’t be sold, or were they all buried individually? What is wrong with people… is it just that more abuse is being reported, or is society churning out more evil little shit’s from school; who grow up to be malicious, uncaring knob heads?  I’m glad I am of an age where I will no longer bring children into this world!”

Police officers in Williston, Florida were disposing of evidence per a court order on Thursday when they heard a whimpering noise coming from underground.

Officers located the origin of the whimpering and dug out a one-week-old puppy that was head-first in an eight-inch hole.

Luckily the dirt had not been packed down and the puppy managed to create an air pocket below the surface. Williston Police Chief Dennis Strow said, “It did not appear to me that the dog was very long in the hole, less than an hour would be my guess.”

The puppy is so young he can’t even open his eyes yet, because of this the clinic believes him to be around 7-days-old. Caretakers at Levy Animal Clinic have been bottle-feeding the puppy that they have named Tucker. One of the veterinarian technicians at the clinic has already adopted Tucker.

Officer Strow checked in on Tucker the morning after they found him and is pleased to report that Tucker is doing well. He is still disturbed by the find though, “What’s disturbing is that when you look at this fellow you ask, how can he be threatening to anyone?”

The police are still looking for the person who buried Tucker and Strow is determined to find them.

“Somebody knows who did this. I guarantee we’re going to follow this one and prosecute whoever did this to the fullest extent of the law,” said Strow.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Williston Police Department at (352)528-4991.
