“WTF…It never ceases to amaze me just how cruel humans can be; it is we humans that are the animals!. Somebody knows who this dog belonged to, they don’t just bloody appear from know where.  Please, If anybody knows anything about this case, please do the right thing & inform those below. Please keep this sweet dog in your prayers; so that he may make a full recovery. His leg may have to be removed but lets hope he will come through this & find a forever home!”

A one-year-old pit bull was rescued in Kentucky after having been found tied to a fence with his snout duct-taped shut. A reward is being offered for information on who did this.

Duct-Taped severely wounded, Frodo was found tied to fence

It is believed he was being used as a bait dog because he is covered in bite marks.

He clearly, in my opinion, was a bait dog and this is not the first time being thrown into a ring,” said Rebecca Eaves, director of The Arrow Fund. “Basically, a dog got him here, broke his canines and pushed them in.”

The pup, now named Frodo, is being treated at the Blue Pearl Animal Hospital, where he is being pumped full of antibiotics and painkillers. One of his legs will have to be amputated because of injuries, but staff say he’s lucky to be alive.

“It’s a shame what they do to these animals, and I’m emotional because I’m sick of this,” Eaves said. “This is a sweet, sweet puppy, that was just shown a life of horror.”

Frodo was found on the 2600 block of West Kentucky Street in Louisville. Investigators have no idea who tied him to the fence, and are urging the public to come forward.

“Right now, we want to plead to the community,” said Donald Robinson with Louisville Metro Animal Services. “You can remain anonymous. Please call our tip line, let us know if you’ve seen anything, if you’ve seen this particular animal out in that particular neighbourhood.”

The Humane Society of the United States is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) involved.

We want to put this person behind bars,” Eaves stated. “Dog-fighting is rampant here in Louisville and everybody needs to be serious about it. Don’t be afraid. Turn them in.”

WTF…CAT TRAUMATIZED BY SICK CRUELTY…WHY???

Just when you think you have seen the worst animal cruelty cases, another one comes out of the woodwork even sicker.

How cruel can anyone be? Amigo was found like this and left in a box in a parking lot

On Thursday morning, a shelter worker at the County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control discovered a box outside of the Baldwin Park parking lot. When he opened the box, it was a cat whose mouth, nose, and paws had been tied with red duct tape.

According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the shelter worker, Abraham Contreras discovered the cat and brought the two-year-old male domestic short hair cat into the shelter where the duct tape was removed.

The cat was gasping for breath, and although quite scared and timid, he is now making progress in his rehabilitation.

Named Amigo by his rescuers, the lucky cat will be placed in a foster home until he is ready for adoption.

DACC Director Marcia Mayeda stated:

“I can’t imagine why someone would do this to a cat. Animal cruelty is heartbreaking, intolerable and usually a precursor to human violence.

On July 2, 2012, a fisherman found a black Labrador retriever muzzled and tied with duct tape and left in a canal to die. Luckily after surgery to remove her spleen, the dog survived. The dog, named Dara has been in the care oSaint Francis Animal Care Center.

Two other dogs were not so lucky. Their bodies were found a few days later at the same canal. One dog had been duct taped in the same manner as Dara.

Saint Francis Animal Care Center will receive half of the $10,000 fine. McConnell has also been ordered to repay the shelter $1,872 for the cost of Dara’s lifesaving operation. Custody of Dara has now been awarded to Saint Francis Animal Care Center.

“It’s a fitting punishment for an awful crime towards innocent dogs. I just wish other judges would follow the footsteps of Judge Hyman,” stated Margaret Holman of Myrtle Beach. “Only when judges get serious about letting the punishment fit the crimes will animal cruelty ever be taken seriously.”

Pennsylvania Police: Man Duct-Taped Dog’s Legs, Muzzle; Animal Is Recovering

Comments Off on Pennsylvania Police: Man Duct-Taped Dog’s Legs, Muzzle; Animal Is Recovering

“YES…this is the 3rd story about dogs & duct tape…but this guy hopefully will get what he deserves & a little bit more if I pray really hard! I just want to know why, what did the dog do to deserve being wrapped in duct tape? It was probably something & nothing, just the mind of a psycho at work!! But I bet he just gets a slapped wrist, unless they find it really was done intentionally to harm the dog. Just imagine the torturous pain that poor dog must have felt, having  to have the duct tape removed from its body…ouch…that alone deserves at least a few months in prison & banned for life from owning any pets…it’s the only sure-fire way to stop these sick bastards!! “

GREENTOWN, Pa. — A north-eastern Pennsylvania man is facing charges after he allegedly duct-taped a dog’s legs and muzzle.

Pennsylvania Humane Society police Officer Marlene Metzger says she filed cruelty-to-animal charges against 26-year-old Greentown, Pike County, resident Russell Seese on Tuesday.

Metzgar says that’s after the Labrador/pit bull mix was found at his house, bound with duct tape and placed in an outbuilding.

She says the animal was taken to a veterinarian and is recovering.

A telephone listing for Seese could not be located and it wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Pennington: No Foul Play Suspected In Case Of Dog Wrapped In Duct Tape

Comments Off on Pennington: No Foul Play Suspected In Case Of Dog Wrapped In Duct Tape

“Yet another dog, a mixed breed pointer; has fallen victim to the grey wrap known as duct tape. I’m sorry, I just don’t believe there is no foul play here! Who the hell would take the time to wrap a dog in duct tape, if it was just an animal they found dead; who carries duct tape round with them anyway?? Or are we supposed to believe it’s  just in case they come across a dead animal…please!! If it was someone’s pet dog, why bind it with tape…why not just bury the dog in either there back yard, or have it cremated! It just doesn’t make sense, but what does  make perfect sense to me, is that some sick bastard, perhaps even kids, committed this vile act; then just dumped the body!! That would explain why there was no abusive marks on the dogs body…it probably asphyxiated from the lack of oxygen & the constriction of the tape!!”

A dog that was wrapped “mummy-like” in duct tape likely did not die as a result of foul play, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

Capt. Corey Brubakken said the dog was discovered Monday by a hunter near mile post 78 along S.D. Highway 44 on the bank of the Cheyenne River.

While baffled by the odd circumstances of seeing the dog wrapped in duct tape, Brubakken said he believes the animal was not killed.

“We’re looking into more identification on the dog and whether or not it had any injuries,” he said. “We don’t have a lot to go on and we don’t know the circumstances as to why it was wrapped in duct tape.”

The dog, a mixed-breed pointer, is estimated to have been between seven and nine years old and had no obvious signs of physical abuse, Brubakken said.

“We don’t know how it got there,” he said. “The dog may have expired and someone may have laid it there.”

Bait Dog Found Duct Taped In California Needs A Second Chance At Life

Comments Off on Bait Dog Found Duct Taped In California Needs A Second Chance At Life

“WTF…why?? Why would you do this to a dog, unless for the reason given below; but if that’s the case why wasn’t the dog covered in bite marks. However she ended up there, someone put her there & somebody knows who did it…please…ease your conscience & tell the police or ring the shelter if you know anything!! Next time it might just be a dog covered in bite marks, ultimately dead! The person who did this is a psychopath…if he can do that to a dog, what else will he turn his hand to?”

The female white pit bull terrier now named Tiffany was found Saturday with duct tape completely covering her eyes. Her caretakers think that she had been hog tied and used as a bait dog.

DOG TIED WITH DUCT TAPE NEEDS IMMEDIATE RESCUE

Currently in the San Bernardino Shelter, Tiffany needs to be rescued immediately or she will be euthanized.

Bait dogs are the most heartbreaking victims of dog fighting. Any dog could be unlucky enough to be rendered helpless by being tied up and then thrown into a fighting ring with a dog trained to kill.

Humane supporters are currently raising funds on Facebook for her adoption expenses.
The page is dedicated to the United Hope for Animals Baldwin Park Shelter Support Program where supporters connect shelter pets with loving, permanent homes and rescue options through effective networking.

Tiffany may have been used as a bait dog. She needs immediate rescue and is currently at San Bernardino City Shelter.

Can she be saved? Imagine what life must have been for this dog?

It appears her ears may have been cut in a crude manner, and she appears to have recently given birth.

If you are interested in rescuing Tiffany, please contact the San Bernardino City Shelter located at 333 Chandler Place in San Bernardino, Cal.

Tiffany’s identification number is A442565. Call (909)-384-1304. You can also follow the volunteers currently trying to organize Tiffany’s rescue by clicking here.

Man pleads guilty in attempted goat theft that killed one animal

Comments Off on Man pleads guilty in attempted goat theft that killed one animal

VISTA (CNS) – A man who tried to steal two goats from Fallbrook High School‘s agricultural department — resulting in one goat‘s death — has pleaded guilty to a felony charge of grand theft of an animal.

Bryce Zubicki, 23, will be sentenced Oct. 17 and is expected to be placed on probation, said prosecutor Elisabeth Silva.

Zubicki was arrested in July and linked to the June 15, 2011, crime by DNA evidence found at the scene, authorities said.

According to authorities, Zubicki duct-taped the muzzles and legs of two goats at the school on the morning of June 15 — the last day of school.

At the time, authorities said the death may have been a senior prank gone wrong, but investigators later said Zubicki may have planned to add the goats to his collection of farm animals.

About 5 a.m. that day, a security guard saw a hooded figure in a livestock pen with the two Tennessee fainting goats inside and scared off the would-be thief by shining a flashlight on him, authorities said.

The guard then removed the tape from the goats’ muzzles but it was too late for one of the animals and it died. A necropsy — the equivalent of an autopsy — revealed that the goal died from suffocation, authorities said.

Web site pops up in response to animal cruelty

Comments Off on Web site pops up in response to animal cruelty

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCIV) — Animal advocates have started up a website in response to Dara, the dog found bound and abandoned in a Georgetown canal and the discovery of two other dogs found dead in the same area.

HelpthisDog.com is trying to turn a tragedy into something positive. The homepage features a picture of Dara, a link to her story and a place to donate to raise the reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case.

A recent post on the site states:

“Currently we are outraged at the tragic events that took place on July 3, 2012. On this date a teenager about to go fishing heard splashing in the water. What she found was a black lab that had been beaten in the head with her muzzle and feet bound by duct tape and thrown into the water, left to drown. We are asking for help in raising money to offer a reward for information leading to the arrest of this heinous person that could do such a thing. Even if it’s a dollar, please help us to help her!”

“There needs to be just awareness to this situation because the penalties for this crime are so minor that I think the laws really do need to be stiffer for people that do this to animals,” said website creator Laura Carson. “”We’re looking for these people. We want them behind bars. A couple of my friends have talked- they believe this is a just a step-up crime. Next time it could be someone’s child”

Support for the site is quickly growing.

“We had one company that had put 200 dollars up. Obviously that’s not gonna make a large enough reward in order to get someone to come forward,” said business owner Ron Fallaw. “So I told them I’d match 200 dollars and then other business owners stepped on board and they started matching and matching. So the reward for now for whoever has done this heinous crime has grown significantly.”

You can find more information and how you can help at helpthisdog.com.

Glades man accused of cutting dog’s leg off with hand saw; charged with animal cruelty

Comments Off on Glades man accused of cutting dog’s leg off with hand saw; charged with animal cruelty

“OMG…What an insane heinous & evil act…Just when I think I have seen or heard all forms of animal abuse, another comes along & rips at my heart… imagine the pain the poor dog must have been in!  Don’t bother sending him to prison, cut off his bloody legs instead!! “

BELLE GLADE — A 10-year-old dog was removed from a Belle Glade home on Tuesday after her owner cut off her leg with a handsaw, Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control officials said.

Luc Jean Baptiste, 48, of Belle Glade was charged with felony animal cruelty after a witness said he duct-taped the dog’s mouth shut, hog-tied her, and sawed through her right front leg.

The witness told animal control officers that Baptiste removed the leg because the dog had injured it, officials said. Animal control was called to the house in the 600 block of Southwest Avenue C by the sheriff’s office, which was investigating a shooting at the residence.

In all, the county removed seven adult dogs and four puppies from the home. Animal control officials say the abuse case is one of the worst they have seen. “My initial reaction to something like this is just absolute anger,” Animal Control Director Dianne Sauve said Friday. “I don’t buy for one minute that someone is trying to help an animal by doing something so barbaric to it.

A witness said Luc Jean Baptiste taped the dog's mouth shut and sawed through her front leg

” Animal control officials have named the dog, a pit bull-type mix, Karma. “I think that what goes around comes around,” said Sauve, who came up with the name. “I think whoever did this to this dog is going to be carrying a karmic debt for a long, long time.”

The dog also has a severe infection in her uterus, a sign that she has been used for breeding, officials said. Karma is expected to undergo surgery to remove her uterus today. Officials hope to repair her leg and eventually put her up for adoption.

Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control Karma, the dog in Belle Glade who had her leg sawed off.
