V.GRAHIC: Shocking picnic under Sredneuralsky: Company adults hung a dog on a tree, and then let it on the barbecue

Comments Off on V.GRAHIC: Shocking picnic under Sredneuralsky: Company adults hung a dog on a tree, and then let it on the barbecue

“Please note the following has been translated from Russian; hence the disjointed sentences.”

“A poor little dog, hung up by a tree to strangle to death, then cut up, thrown on a BBQ & eaten at picnic!!  We see many acts of violence on the internet etc. but this is so disturbing & brutal that the dogs owners must be made to pay; we must join together & keep petitions going until they are brought to justice! How do we know this isn’t a regular occasion for these sick bastards? How many more dogs will end up on their picnic table; unless they are stopped & punished? The website link below contains the video (which does not play automatically) & has still pictures taken from the video. I have included 1 image, taken before the horrific torture took place! Even though I have not seen the video, I would suggest viewer discretion be strongly advised; if the pictures are anything to go by!!. Please sign the petition below to get these sadistic MF’s locked up for life!! If they can do this to a dog, what else are they capable of??

“The following sentence is below the video on the website link; which even I refuse to view!!”

The brutality of the videotaped the wife of one of flayers [shocking video discussion]

We journalists “Komsomolskaya Pravda“, had not shaken because of the video from the Internet. But it is – just something inhuman. People – not homeless, not marginal – ordinary people, taxi drivers, housewives – kill a small dog. During the picnic hang it on the tree, long tormented until she hanged himself on a leash, and then cut up the carcass and roasted dog meat on the grill. It seems to be somewhere very far away, in a wild country, on another planet … But no, next. Heroes Video – residents Sredneuralsk – the satellite city of Yekaterinburg. Incidentally, they continue to work. And threaten neighbors, will give interviews to journalists – vzdernem like that dog on the tree!

“Tenacious. Wind the SC-HER MORE! “

All the brutality captured on video, which shocked the internet. Publish it in full (and it lasts about ten minutes), we can not. It is disgusting. Scary. Only a small piece posted on our site kp.ru – to understand what bad people live with us …

Knacker choose the branch on which a few minutes later strung unfortunate dog screenshot from the video provided by TAU

Early on in the frame appear several men. They are having fun in the woods, where, apparently, got out on a picnic. In the hands of one of them – the leash, which hold Makhonko mongrel mutt. Wagging his tail, dog sitting at the feet of men. The other men at this time look around. Apparently, look after the birch branch on which a few minutes later hanged the unfortunate animal.

Finally, the choice is made. A man in a white jumper and jeans takes the leash and leads the dog for you. Dog happily running through the forest. Trusting the animal is fed to one of the trees, the slack habits through females and up. County is filled with eerie sounds: an unhappy dog barks at first, then a heart-rending vereschit. Soon screeching turns into wheezing. This lasts for about five minutes, but the dog is still alive:

– Die hard! – Says one of the flayers. – Wind the-ka it more.

Zhivotinka continues to squirm in the noose. The “operator”, which takes punishment on video seems to wake up, “sorry.” It turned out that all this time the dog suffering fixed the woman on the cell phone …!

– Alexander! – Hear behind the scenes of her drunken voice. – Knife Carry! Bring a knife, the f … your mother!

The screen shows a woman’s face – it removes itself. As it turned out, the wife of one of the executioners. When the dog verse, the company sadists removed his skin. And then marinate and fry of dog meat kebabs.

After an eerie video somehow got into the network, it was found that a married couple is well known in flayers Sredneuralsk.

– This is Oleg and Hope – said one of the friends of sadists, who wished to remain anonymous. – They are fifty, they live together. They like to drink. Oleg works in a taxi. When their neighbors learned about the history of dogs with barbecue, Oleg threatened that also vzdernet anyone who would talk about it.

DOG MEAT HELPS IN TUBERCULOSIS …”

We found the phone Oleg Kuleshov – the very man who hangs a dog on a video, and then it was cut up. But picked up his wife, Hope, explaining that her husband forgot to phone home. When we were told what we ring, the woman did not blanch spouse. She says that was not present in this case, but neighbors identified the woman in her heroine movie.

– I was shocked by all of this – said Nadia told “KP“. – We own dog house, simple pooch. I took it from the neighbors after the previous couple of dogs have died. And Oleg loves his dog. He brought her own home …

– How do you then explain his actions so?

– Asked the owner of that dog to remove it. In this way they have decided to get rid of it. And Oleg knows how to butcher cattle, after all grew up in the village.

– Why then is this dog?

– Well they say that dog meat helps with tuberculosis, which is at a friend Oleg. Dog meat is useful. Net. Especially the dog home. Mistress I know her name is Olga. Need to talk to her, looking for her. What he’s done is done. I have not seen this movie. I myself would like to see how and what happened there.

– So you were not there?

– No.

Terrible shot already seen the police. Videos shocked even the enforcers.

– It is very hard to watch – says Nina Pelevin, spokeswoman of the MOI for the Sverdlovsk region.- The video has all the signs of sadism. It is classified under “harsh treatment of animals group of persons by prior agreement.”

The maximum penalty for this article – two years in prison. But the majority of Internet users who have looked torment the dog, they say that it is necessary to punish the flayers much more serious. That’s just the police clarify that this article does not provide for the detention. That is, until a court decision knacker will be free. Prison term for them is possible only as a last resort. So monsters can get off with a fine.

Last night the head of the police number 28 Sredneuralsk Valentin Katz said “KP” that the identity of all flayers installed:

– Now we are interviewing them, and then make a decision to institute criminal proceedings. To get an objective picture of the incident, we need to interview all witnesses, witnesses of crime.

– Did you encounter such crimes during your work?

– Never. And I do not remember that criminal proceedings were instituted for this article.

– What is the probability that these monsters go to jail?

– A little. The court will consider all the circumstances. Since they have not tried, most likely, a real sentence will be.

COMMENT Zoozaschitniki …

– I see such cruelty almost every day and hanging animals, and with his eyes gouged, with burnt and torn off the backs of legs … – says Marina Sharifullina, Yekaterinburg volunteer charity for homeless animals. – These people and people-to name not dare! It’s monsters, not people, the Nazis, who mock the living beings. And people something normal in appearance: a certain place of residence, with money, with the machine. We have repeatedly appealed to the prosecutor’s office on the protection of animals, but, unfortunately, not a single criminal case was not entered. The authorities are not actively respond to such incidents. Therefore, while at the level of legislation is not resolved this issue, we are powerless.

And psychiatry …

– There are two questions. First – who are these people by nationality. There are countries where the dogs taken to start up a barbecue. Even more, in Moscow caught dogs and in certain restaurants serve the dish – says forensic psychiatrist Mikhail Vinogradov. – Secondly, it’s not that these people are sick or not. The problem of cruelty, a change in moral values: the dog was taken to the woods and killed, sanded, eaten, but it is not related to any mental disorder. The fact that they have removed all of the video, I would call a “disease of the century”, but not in terms of mental health problems. For example, someone hit by a car: a crowd gathers, take out all the mobiles, shoot it on video and spread on the Internet. On the street torn, dying people, and they are being filmed! And it’s not a problem psychic and social.

Dogs destined for the table: Horrific images show animals being killed, cooked and served up as a meal in Chinese tradition

Comments Off on Dogs destined for the table: Horrific images show animals being killed, cooked and served up as a meal in Chinese tradition

“This serves as a grim reminder that dogs in China still face becoming part of a restaurant menu!”

These dogs are being taken to the restaurant ready to be cooked in front of diner– despite a growing anti-cruelty campaign.

Grim: The dogs arrive alive in cages ready to be killed, cut up and cooked at the meat market in Yulin City, Guangxi province, China

A group of Chinese activists in Yulin City, Guangxi province, descended on the dog meat market campaigning against eating the animals.

Artist Pian Shan Kong knelt down in front of the dead animals confessing for people’s sins as he apologised to the dead animals during the demonstration.

China is yet to make animal cruelty illegal and end the grim tradition despite campaigning by animal rights activists.

Pet lovers’ associations have sprung up in Chinese cities over recent years.

While many Chinese enjoy rich dog meat, especially during cold winters, some object to the practice in some regions of beating dogs to death to release the blood into the meat.

When food is scarce, dogs are eaten as an emergency food source around China in a practice which is seen as socially acceptable.

As the country becomes more affluent, a growing number of families are buying dogs as pets fuelling the growing campaign against animal cruelty.

In April, more than 500 dogs set to be slaughtered were saved when the truck they were being carried in to the slaughterhouse was intercepted by activists.

Many of the 505 creatures had barely survived their terrible ordeal, having endured cramped conditions and a lack of water during their near 1,000 mile journey by road.

But rescue came too late for 11 dogs which had succumbed to dehydration and exposure.

China arrests three for endangered animal trade

Comments Off on China arrests three for endangered animal trade

BEIJING — Police in southern China have arrested three men for dealing in bear parts and other endangered animals, some possibly smuggled from Vietnam, the official Xinhua news agency said on June 26.

The smuggling ring is believed to killed over 40 bears for their parts with an estimated total value of $3.2 million.

POACHED: The carcass of a Malayan pangolin was included in the animal trafficking bust in China

Police in the Guangxi region busted the criminal gang earlier this month and seized “hundreds” of bear paws, bear meat and carcasses of other animals including pangolins and tortoises, it said.
The trafficking ring is believed to have slaughtered 43 bears for their parts, estimated to have a value of 20 million yuan ($3.2 million), Xinhua said.
In China, bear gall bladders are used in traditional medicine while bear paws are an expensive delicacy.
Xinhua said the seized animals were sourced in Guangxi’s Dongxing city on the border with Vietnam and sold across southern China.
Chinese authorities have previously seized snakes and turtles smuggled from Vietnam, it said.
Police in Nanning city, where the men were arrested, declined to comment on June 26.

Saved from the dinner table: Activists rescue more than 500 caged dogs destined for restaurants in China

Comments Off on Saved from the dinner table: Activists rescue more than 500 caged dogs destined for restaurants in China

Barbaric: The dogs were discovered crammed into tiny cages on the back of a truck in Kunming, China

This is April 2012

“What’s happened since 2010??? NOTHING!!”

Crammed into tiny cages and enduring appalling conditions, these dogs had been destined for restaurant tables in China.

But they were saved from that fate after activists intercepted the truck carrying them.

Many of the 505 creatures had barely survived their terrible ordeal, having endured cramped conditions and a lack of water during their near 1,000 mile journey by road.

Cruel: Many of the animals, thought to be destined for a restaurant, were suffering from dehydration when they were saved

But rescue came too late for 11 dogs which had succumbed to dehydration and exposure.
The driver, who was questioned by police, said he had been employed to take the animals from Mianning county, Xichang city in the southwest of Sichuan province,to restaurants in Yulin city in south China’s Guangxiprovince.

Cruel: Many of the animals, thought to be destined for a restaurant, were suffering from dehydration when they were saved.

Suffering: Activists arrived too late to save around 11 of the dogs which had already died under the terrible conditions

Volunteers provided the dogs with water and food which they had been deprived of because of the narrow space in the truck. The trade and transportation of animals in China has come in for criticism by campaigners in the West.

Saved: Volunteers provided the dogs with water and food which they had been deprived of because of the narrow space in the truck

Some of the huge markets which sell dogs and cats to restaurants for slaughter and human consumption, came under international spot light several years ago after being the suspected origin of the deadly SARS virus.

Rescue: The activists stopped a truck carrying 505 dogs on Puji road on Thursday evening.

It is not uncommon for dogs, as well as other animals, to be crammed so tightly together into tiny metal cages they cannot even bark – an environment ripe for the spread of disease.

Business: The dogs in this case had a fortunate escape but the trade in dog meat means many more animals are not as lucky

In one of the large markets, on a 60 acre site in Guangzhou, China, cages of dogs and cats – some of them bred as domestic pets – are piled high and when an animal is chosen for sale it is bludgeoned with an iron bar until it is close to death before, being handed over to the purchaser.

Sickening: Many of the animals showed signs of the appalling conditions in which there were transported - including dehydration and other injuries

Fate: The driver of the truck told police he employed to transport dogs to a restaurant in Yulin city in south China’s Guangxi province

11 COUNTRIES WHICH STILL EAT DOG MEAT

Eleven countries around the globe still eat dog meat. They are: China, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Philippines, Polynesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Arctic and Antarctic and two cantons in Switzerland.

China: Although the Chinese were the first to domesticate the dog and keep them as pets, dog meat has been a source of food from at least the time of Confucius, and possibly even before.

Indonesia: Eating dog meat is usually associated with people from the Batak Toba culture, who cook a traditional dish named saksang that is like a dog-meat stew.

Mexico: Dogs were historically bred for their meat by the Aztecs. These dogs were called itzcuintlis, and were often pictured on pre-Columbian Mexican pottery.

Philippines: In the capital city of Manila, the law specifically prohibits the killing and selling of dogs for food except in certain circumstances including research and animal population control.

Polynesia: Dogs were historically eaten in Tahiti and other islands of Polynesia at the time of first European contact in 1769.

Taiwan: Dog meat in Taiwan is particularly eaten in the winter months, especially black dogs, which are believed to help retain body warmth.

Korea: Gaegogi literally means ‘dog meat’ in Korean. Gaegogi, however, is often mistaken as the term for Korean soup made from dog meat, bosintang. The distaste felt by dog lovers, particularly from the West, has made this dish very controversial.

Switzerland: According to a Swiss newspaper report in 1996, the Swiss rural cantons of Appenzell and St. Gallen are known to have had a tradition of eating dogs, curing dog meat into jerky and sausages, as well as using the lard for medicinal purposes.

Vietnam: Dog meat is eaten throughout Vietnam. To many Northerners, it is a popular, if relatively expensive, dinnertime restaurant meal.

Arctic and Antarctic: Dogs have historically been an emergency food source for various peoples in Siberia, Alaska, northern Canada, and Greenland. Sled dogs are usually maintained for pulling sleds, but occasionally are eaten when no other food is available.

This video was taken January 2012 – When another truck was intercepted by animal lovers.

Starving, exhausted and crammed into tiny cages, they were just hours away from being killed for restaurants.

Animal welfare volunteers and police in Chongqing, south-west China, discovered the malnourished and dehydrated animals loaded inside cages so small they couldn’t stand up.

They took them to a nearby farm where they were given food, water and emergency medical treatment, but many were too frail to survive.

After spotting the truck carrying the animals, he posted a plea on the web, begging for help in saving the dogs’ lives.

It was answered by animal welfare volunteers, and with the assistance of the police, they intercepted the vehicle at a toll gate. Many of the dogs, which were being taken to Guangdong province, in the far south of the country, were saved.

Eating dog meat in China dates back thousands of years. It is  also consumed in countries including Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam, but is illegal in most Western countries.

Restaurants serving dog  are common in many Chinese cities, but particularly in Guangdong province, where some locals think it has medicinal properties.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Despite proposals to ban the consumption of dog last year, and growing international opposition to the practice, the meat has continued to be sold.

Alan Knight, chief executive of International Animal Rescue, said: ‘The transport is disgusting. They cram them into small wire cages, with no food or water, and take them across the country and kill them in inhumane ways.

‘This is happening every day. The whole concept of ethics is different to ours and it will be difficult to change, but local animal welfare groups are starting to make headway.’

Animal rights groups seek performance ban

Comments Off on Animal rights groups seek performance ban

Animal rights groups are calling for a ban on all animal performances in China, including live  shows, petting zoos and photo sessions.

However, their campaign – which also calls for a ban on dolphin shows – is said by some to have gone too far.

Animal performances and circus shows, especially in Beijing, have “seriously impaired the country’s and city’s image with brutality and savage behavior”, Liu Huili, an animal rights supporter and researcher with Green Beagle, a Beijing-based non-governmental organization, said at a symposium on Saturday.

Attendees at the symposium, including researchers and volunteers from Green Beagle, China Zoo Watch and the Beijing Loving Animals Foundation, proposed the performance ban, especially in the capital city.

China Zoo Watch conducted a study from January 2011 to the end of March, in which it sampled more than 40 zoos nationwide. It found that animal performances, which it claims often involve acts of cruelty, are common nationwide.

About 50 percent of urban zoos, 91 percent of animal parks and 89 percent of aquariums offer such performances, according to the survey.

Performances include animal wire walking, jumping through fire loops, standing upsidedown and boxing, which “might seriously impair the animals’ physical and psychological health”, Liu said.

“Exactly…the video below’s show animals who must have been physically & psychologically damaged to carry out these wretched stunts; is no animal safe from circus cruelty??

In Beijing, the wildlife park in Daxing district offers shows of dogs jumping through fireloops, and another wildlife park near the Badaling section of the Great Wall featureswolves and tigers jumping across fiery circles and bears playing with flaming sticks, the survey found.

Both parks declined to comment on the issue when reached by China Daily on Sunday.

Liu Nonglin, a senior engineer of the Chinese Association of Zoological Gardens, said a zoo should be a demonstration site for animal protection.

Tigers on horseback and chained monkeys riding bicycles: Cruel Chinese circus flaunts government ban

Comments Off on Tigers on horseback and chained monkeys riding bicycles: Cruel Chinese circus flaunts government ban

Zoos across China are still putting on cruel exotic animal performances, three months after they were banned by the government.

Humilating: Tigers are declawed and defanged before they are forced to jump through flaming hoops

In one show in Guangxi Zhuang yesterday, crowds cheered as a tiger teetered on the back of a horse, while monkeys, with chains around their necks, rode bicycles around in circles.

The grim spectacle is slowly being outlawed across the country – 300 state-owned zoos were notified in January they had to close their circuses – but many others claim they were never told about the ban and have no intention of stopping.

The government acted in January after increased pressure from outraged animal rights groups.

A study by Animals Asia in 2010 found bears were often whipped and beaten with sticks, elephants were prodded with metal hooks, while tigers and lions are made to endure chronic pain by being defanged and de-clawed.

“Watch the video below …A pray animal (horse) forced to carry a predator (tiger) on it’s back, is unbelievable & morally wrong!   They have obviously beaten these animals into performing these absurd stunts!  Have you ever seen a horse scared to go in a horse box? Well, it’s probably because inside the trailer it’s dark,  he see’s the horse box akin to a dark cave, were predators await to eat him…We may have evolved & made the horse a companion animal, but it doesn’t mean their instincts regarding predator fear have gone!”

“Watch the horse, before the tiger gets on…His  ears are flat to his head as he nervously trots round, a sign of anger, distress & especially fear, his every instinct, screaming at him to run, yet the fear of more incessant thrashings, makes him obey every command.  You can see his reaction when the guy grabs his head collar…Terror!!  I doubt that horse has ever been touched with kind hands, I dread to think how many beatings it has taken to get pray & predator to interact, with almost military precision.

“I wonder how many horses have been fatally wounded whilst trying to get this asinine performance to this level…. The horse looks well fed,  but he would have to be, considering the weight of the tiger, even so, it still looks a struggle for the poor horse!   As for the tiger,  how much suffering has he endured?  His natural instinct as a predator would be to eat the horse! But again, due to fear, the tiger nervously comply’ s .  All this suffering for the sake of entertainment is totally unacceptable!!

Chained: Monkeys are held on the back of bicycles by chains around their necks

In a published report, the organisation – based in Hong Kong – said: ‘All of the performances observed were based upon fear and intimidation. To force animals to perform unnatural tricks, circus showmen frequently engage in negative reinforcement, whipping and striking the animals repeatedly.

‘Animal performances portray the animal to the public in a humiliating way that does not promote empathy and respect. There is little educational value in seeing animals in conditions that do not resemble their natural habitat.’

The government was also swayed by a three-month investigation by China’s State Forestry Bureau that discovered that more than 50 zoos contained animals that had suffered severely from abus

Speaking in January, David Neale, the Animal Welfare Director at Animals Asia insisted the ban would be strictly enforced.

He told the Daily Telegraph: ‘We are hopeful it will have an effect. I visited Chongqing zoo before Christmas and their circus was clearing out, and Kunming zoo has also said its circus has been closed.’

But it was business as usual at Guangxi Zhuang zoo this weekend – and many zoo owners claim they were never notified about the ban.

Besides the complexity of policing the ban across a vast country, campaigners are also concerned zoos will be forced into bankruptcy and abandoned unwanted animals.

David Neale added: “In some cases, I am not sure where the animals will go.

‘In some cases I would recommend euthanasia, since there are animals in a very bad way after a few years of being in these performances’

A tiger is muzzled so a young girl can sit on its back during one of the banned circus performances

“Would you let your daughter sit on the back of a lion with his muzzled tied shut with a piece of string, who is probably sedated a little too?? Just one swipe of a paw & that child could be to fatally Injured.”

“People have got to understand, animals have rights too, they are not ours to do as we please with…They have the right from their first breath to food, water, protection from, & treatment of, illness & injury, proper living quarters,  freedom to express normal behaviour, respect, kindness & dignity…till their last breath!

“They should never ever suffer for human entertainment or denied any of the above  so humans can profit from their misery”

“Anything less & it is  we that should be referred to as animals”
