Dog Rescued From Trash Heap Makes Amazing Transformation: But They Need Help to Carry On!

Eldad Hagar’s heart broke when he saw Miley, a dog living in a pile of trash outside of LA. She was so ill and weak that she didn’t even try to run away. But because of a friendship she made with another rescued dog, she is doing worlds better today.

“When I got there, I almost couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” said Hope For Paws the founder. “It’s almost as if this place was struck by a tsunami.”

The dog, called Miley, had been abandoned and left to die in the garbage. A local resident called Hope for Paws to tell them the dog had been living in the heap for a few months. Eldad knew what to expect, but was still surprised to see how bad off she was. He said her physical deterioration was “definitely one of the worst cases” he’d ever seen.

She was hungry, sick and in pain. Her body was left so weakened that she “didn’t even have the energy” to try to get away from Eldad when he approached her.

The abandoned dogs Hope for Paws volunteers find are usually difficult to rescue. They have been abused and on their own for a long time, and have become wary of humans. But with patience and compassion, even the most petrified dogs can learn to trust.

Eldad spent an hour sitting with Miley, gaining her trust by offering bits of food. He put his lucky leash on her, but she was scared and didn’t want to leave the only place that was now home to her. Eventually, she relented, and got into his vehicle.

Veterinarians determined Miley was suffering from malnutrition, mange, parasites and bacterial infections. She was given medicated baths and had her wounds treated. She needed time to rest and heal.

By day three, she was ready to give her hero a kiss. A couple weeks later she met Frankie, a dog rescued from a drain pipe. He was scared of everything. But Miley and Frankie became the best of friends, and helped each other heal from their trauma.

Hoarder Sisters In Georgia Face Cruelty And Exploitation Charges

Snellville, GA – Two Georgia hoarders, sisters Elisha and Leah Waller, both face charges for animal cruelty and the exploitation of a disabled adult.

Arrests were made Wednesday after authorities discovered 31 dying cats, a dog, and a disabled young man cramped inside a filthy hotel room the night before, according to the Huffington Post.

The women were ultimately exposed after several people staying at the Snellville hotel reported smelling an overpowering stench emanating from the room the Waller sisters shared.

Police identified the disabled man as Leah Waller’s 19-year-old son, who has cerebral palsy. He was found trapped in the filthy room, confined to his wheelchair amid massive amounts of animal feces, urine saturation, and garbage, reports WSBTV.

Cerebral palsy is an umbrella term denoting a group of non-progressive conditions that cause physical disability in human development.

The felines were found, many of them suffering with upper respiratory infections, open soars, and missing hair. Only two were deemed fit enough to survive. The rest, 29 in total, were euthanized.

According to local animal control, there was no other option than to humanely euthanize them due to their unhealthy condition.

This is the sisters’ second abuse-related arrest in less than two months.

Hoarding is a compulsive behavior to pathologically collect to excess, obsessively acquiring objects or even animals. However, hoarders are incapable or unwilling to discard the aforementioned acquisitions, regardless of the clutter, filth, danger or disease that can result, as doing so can cause significant distress or impairment.

Compulsive hoarding has been associated with health risks, impaired functioning, economic burden, and can result in adverse effects on friends and family members – creating frustration-fueled rifts between loved ones. Parents have had children taken away and couples have divorced over hoarding.

The troubling condition often stems from some type of psychologically engrained trauma. For one reason or another, a hoarder developed an unhealthy attachment, clinging to the otherwise innocuous, valueless item others would throw away.

The act of hoarding is dangerous as it puts the individual or others at risk from fire, falling, poor sanitation, and other health concerns.

An Arizona woman who allegedly confessed to her boyfriend that she has sex with dogs and fantasizes about incest has been charged with crimes against nature, police said. “Take a good look at that face below, she is someone you don’t want near your pets or children!!”

ANOMALOUS BRITTANY SONNIER – Mother of one child, likes Incest & has sex with dogs...Is this women fit to have children or animals???

Brittany Angelique Sonnier, 20, is accused of committing “vaginal and oral sex with two canines” in Lake Havasu City, according to police Sgt. Joe Harrold. “Why hasn’t her child been taken into protective custody?”

“We received a report … alleging bestiality on the part of Brittany Sonnier. Our investigations bureau investigated the allegations and [then] forwarded a criminal complaint to the county attorney’s office,” Harrold told The Huffington Post.

Sonnier was arrested on November 21 and charged with bestiality. Those charges were later changed to two counts of “crime against nature.”

According to a copy of the police report provided to HuffPost, authorities were tipped off in September by a former boyfriend of Sonnier’s about her alleged illegal four-legged activities.

The ex-boyfriend, the report states, told police he had started dating Sonnier in March or April. The ex, whose name has been redacted from the police report, said Sonnier seemed, “like a nice, sweet and innocent girl.”

Sonnier’s ex told police things went well at first between the two and said he enjoyed spending time with both her and her 11-month-old son. However, during mid-summer the relationship changed, and their sex life began to slow down. It was around this time that Sonnier allegedly approached him and asked if they could “talk.”

“They sat down and Brittany used his phone to look some things up,” the police report states. “He expected Brittany to ask if they could have a threesome or if he wanted to be a swinging couple. He would have been fine with either of those things — he is very open.”

The photos, however, indicated different interests, police said.

“Instead, Brittany started to show him pictures of people having sex with animals,” the report states. “She told him that she was interested and into having sex with dogs. She went on to tell him that she has been having sex with their family dogs since she was 13 years old.”

The report states one of the dogs is about 13 and the other is just a couple of years old. They are not identified by breed, but are described as “medium size” dogs in the police report.

The police report further alleges that Sonnier told her boyfriend that she has had “vaginal and oral sex with the dogs” and has trained the animals so they “don’t act strange” around other people. “So that’s how zoophiles can stay undetected, when it’s their pets they are abusing!!”

Sonnier also allegedly said she was into incest and pulled up images on the phone of a family of cartoon characters having sex, police said.

The ex-boyfriend told police he was “disturbed and freaked out” and said he told Sonnier “she was disgusting.” The two broke up shortly thereafter. “She still is disgusting!”

Sonnier’s ex told police he first approached her father and informed him of her alleged bizarre sexual preferences. Sonnier’s dad, according to the police report, allegedly told him that his daughter had in the past admitted to him that “she has been having sex with the family dogs.” Her dad also allegedly said he is in the process of trying to gain custody of his grandson. “When these allegations come out in court, I am hopeful the Judge will make sure the child’s safety is of paramount importance, & place him in the most protective custodial hands!” 

We are talking about an innocent child here; who must be protected at all costs!! It begs the question, why didn’t they think to report her disturbing behaviour; having admitted to her dad about having sex with the dogs??

The ex-boyfriend told police he suspects Sonnier is pregnant with his child, but said she has refused to take a pregnancy test. He said that, if she is pregnant, he wants her to get help. “I hope to God she isn’t, but if she is; serious questions should be asked about her mental stability & ability to keep said child! Just having mentioned the word ‘Incest’ when one has children should set off alarm bells ringing, to the safety of the child!” 

Further allegations by her ex-boyfriend in the police report read:

• She is a sex addict and he thinks she will be an unfit parent.
•  He suspects Brittany started to have sex with animals when she was younger because she couldn’t find a partner.
• He is worried about the child Brittany might be carrying.

Neither Sonnier, her ex-boyfriend nor her father responded to calls and emails requesting comment from The Huffington Post.

According to a Facebook page attributed to Sonnier, (Yes her Face book is still live) she is a 2010 graduate of South View High School in Hope Mills, North Carolina. Under “favourite quotations” Aurdey Hepburn is listed, with the following quote, “I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give it.”

Harrold told police Sonnier is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 5. It was not immediately clear Thursday if she has an attorney to represent her.

“In 2006 Arizona reintroduced a law making it illegal to have sex with an animal, dead or alive.”

Pennsylvania Horse Doused With Flammable Liquid, Set On Fire

 

“As the perpetrators have not been found yet, I would suggest people living around that area, to keep a close eye on their pets. Whoever did this, obviously got a kick out of seeing it suffer, they are inhumane, cold, calculated & heartless bastards; so just be aware! When caught, they need to have the maximum sentence thrown at them! I can imagine how the owners feel about this sick revolting act. Some people have horses & see them as objects for bringing home money etc., others, like me & this lady in question, see them as part of the family. I wish Northstar a speedy recovery & hope this incident doesn’t have any lasting effect on his normal behaviour!”

UNION CITY, Pa. — A horse was struggling to survive Tuesday after being doused with a flammable substance and set ablaze over the weekend.

“I don’t know what would have possessed anyone to do this. I just know they are sick. They are a sick, sick person,” Jessie Woodworth, owner of the 6-year-old gelding named Northstar, told The Huffington Post.

“It’s a person with a degenerate mind,” Woodworth’s husband, Bob, added. “It would have been much more humane if the person had shot the horse instead of making it suffer.”

The Woodworths boarded Northstar at a 60 acre ranch in Athens Township. Family members found him severely burned on Sunday morning.

“My wife and daughter found him hiding in the woods,” Bob Woodward told HuffPost. “He was completely out of it — in shock. The girls heard him whine for them. He was a mess and you could see where a liquid was poured on him and he was set on fire.”

The Marley Veterinary Clinic in Titusville is treating Northstar. The animal is being administered pain medication and antibiotics. Prescription ointments are being used to help heal the wounds.

“He’s not over it by no means,” Bob Woodworth said. “He has burns all over his body. His face is burned right down to bone, his eyelashes are burned off and the hair in his ears and nostrils is gone. I don’t know how the animal survived. It’s going to be a long battle. It’s going to take him a long time to recover.”

State troopers from the state police barracks in Corry are investigating. The individual or individuals responsible used an unknown accelerant to set the horse on fire, police said. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.

The Woodworths said they have no idea who targeted their horse.

“This is a member of our family. We raised him from birth. There is nothing this animal has done wrong to nobody,” Bob Woodworth said.

Animal cruelty is typically caused by people who are angry or have demented personalities, said Sarah Speed, Pennsylvania state director for the Humane Society of the United States.

“There have been a number of psychological studies done and we are learning that people who commit these types of crimes are typically angry and they turn to someone who is more vulnerable, like a child or an animal,” Speed told HuffPost.

“The truly disturbing thing about fire-setting animal abuse is that it is one of the three strongest indicators of a future serial killer, as defined by the FBI,” Speed continued. “When a child has one or more of those psychological symptoms, there is cause for concern that they lack empathy that could result in future violent crimes.”
