“WTF…I’m presuming I wasn’t the only one screaming at the computer, whilst watching this horrific event unfold; I was shouting…”You Stupid F$~,?%^$&*^% quite a lot!! Then the couple appear from down the hall, take a look, & I’m thinking “thank God, somebody to save the dog”…but they went back inside their apartment & didn’t come out for what seemed like ages! Then when they did come back out, it seemed as if they were too late, dilly dallying about like they had all day to think about it!! It should have taken no longer than 2 minutes to find some scissors to cut the lead; & get the dog down!”

“What a bunch of numb nuts…the guy inside the elevator, why didn’t he just stop & get out at the next floor & run down or up (depending on direction) stupid dick head, Or better still, made sure the animal was inside the lift before it set off, as it nearly did with the dogs head half out!! And the guys in the hallway…well theywere just Fxxxxxg pathetic!!!”

“Anyhow, I’m posting this more for identity reasons; although the person who viewed the CCTV footage should have got animal welfare or police involved, If he was the caretaker or something, he would have known exactly who they were & where they live…was it him that uploaded it?? Whichever, please still sign the petition. I can’t believe the dog didn’t suffer any damage to his trachea!”

It is important to let the world know that we should love and care our dog. Human should protect them and be responsible to their safety. I sincerely hope that everyone can sign this petition to raise awareness and also find out this man. Justice should for everyone, even he/she is just a dog.

Thank you for your support!

Owner of hanged terrier calls for tougher sentences

Comments Off on Owner of hanged terrier calls for tougher sentences

A woman whose dog was hanged with its own lead has called for tougher sentences for people who harm animals.

Horrific death: Losing Buster was like losing one of my children, says owner

Julie Campbell also called for an animal abuse register so offenders can be monitored and prevented from being allowed to own pets.

The 35-year-old Limavady mother-of-three woke to find her two-year-old Jack Russell Buster hanged from a metal pole in her back yard on Tuesday morning.

She revealed yesterday that she will now have to give up her other dog, as she is leaving her home and moving into temporary accommodation in another town which cannot accommodate a dog.

Ms Campbell said that her six-month-old Rottweiler Kaiser was in the back yard when Buster was killed and that the pup has not stopped whimpering since.

There has been an outpouring of public anger at the killers and sympathy for the family.

Ms Campbell said: “I am really heartened by the support.

However, she revealed that her eldest son has not spoken since he learned what had happened.

“My son turned 15 today. He hasn’t spoken since we told him. He was unable to go to school and his birthday is ruined.”

Ms Campbell was yesterday looking at finding alternative accommodation for her family.

We are going to move away from Limavady altogether,” she said, adding that “the impact has been too deep”.

“I was brought up (here) — my mum (and nan) live in the estate and all my friends. It’s terrible that we have to move away. “I think we maybe have to give our other dog away so we are going to go through that as well.”

Ms Campbell hopes that the fate of Buster and Cody, the border collie who died after being set on fire last month, will lead to more legal protection for animals in Northern Ireland.

“People that would do that to a pet should never be allowed to have a pet, and they should be really harshly punished for killing a dog, they should be jailed.

“The law should be changed to make sure of that and to keep a register of who they are.”

Sioux Falls Man Attacked By Loose Dogs

Comments Off on Sioux Falls Man Attacked By Loose Dogs

“No dog is born vicious, blame the owners, not the dogs!”

A Sioux Falls man is injured after he was mauled by two pit bulls while he was playing basketball yesterday morning.

One of the dogs was shot and killed by police, the other is being quarantined.

The dogs were let loose by one of their owners around 5 a.m on Sunday.

Police are unsure what made the dogs attack, but the news isn’t helping the negative stereotype many people have of pit bulls.

Police say a 34-year-old man was mauled by the two loose pit bulls as he played basketball near the River Greenway.

They say one of the dog’s owners, James Lanpher had let the dogs go without leashes or supervision… something police say should never happen.

Lieutenant Jerome Miller of the Sioux Falls police department says,”If you have an animal with that kind of propensity, it’s obviously your obligation to make sure that it’s either kept inside an inclosure or a kennel or a structure of some sort and if it is out that it’s on a leash and if it’s vicious it should be muzzled.”

One of the dogs was shot and killed when it charged at an officer. The other will be quarantined for ten days to check for rabies.

Pit bull activists say the incident shouldn’t be blamed on the dog. It was the owner who let the dog out without a leash and the owner’s reponsibility.

Robin Willhoit, Pit Rescue says “It’s a little bit disheartening for us as a rescue to hear of something so dramatic happening in the city of Sioux Falls. When there are people who are irresponsible pet owners it makes all of us look bad.”

Members of Pit Rescue in Sioux Falls say pit bulls don’t deserve the bad rep they’ve been labeled with… and that most pit bulls are often less dangerous than the smallest dogs.

Melissa Jungemann, volunteer coordinator of Pit Rescue in Sioux Falls says,”They’re so loving that as long as you love them, they’ll love you back.”

And they say biting accidents can happen with any dog, regardless of size or breed… it’s up to the owner to know their dog’s temperment.

Jungemann says,”You have to be responsible with your dogs, regardless of what breed they are. You have to make sure your dogs are secured in your yard on a leash. You can’t let your dogs run.”

Police say that’s good advice, not only for pit bulls, but for all dogs.
