  • Police say Sara Zamora mutilated and beat to death chickens while performing sex acts on camera
  • She also karate-chopped and killed rabbits and other animals, cops said
  • The heinous acts were filmed for a fetish video titled ‘SOS Barn’

A Miami woman faces up to 40 years in jail after being charged with an unthinkable crime – killing animals while performing sex acts for fetish videos.

Sara Zamora’

Sara Zamora, 28, decapitated chickens, beat rabbits to death and more for sexual gratification, Miami-Dade Police claimed.

The sickening videos were filmed at the Homestead home of Adam Redford, 54, of Homestead, said cops. He declined comment when reached by MailOnline.

An arrest report cited by the Miami Herald details the horrors carried out by Zamora and others in a video called ‘SOS Barn.’

Zamora and other women were shown in the the video ‘torturing and killing a wide variety of animals, including chickens, rabbits and more for the sexual gratification of its viewers,’ said the report.

The mortifying video is part of a genre of pornography called ‘crush,’ according to the paper.

Zamora is said by police to have been groping a man’s genitals with her left hand while ‘repeatedly cutting a chicken’s neck using hedge clippers with her right’ in one video.

Other videos had her scantily clad while ‘hacking off the head of another screaming bird, or [beating] chickens to death with a wooden stick.’

She is also shown karate-chopping the necks of rabbits while they howled in pain, police said, adding that she admitted to killing them.

’I’m glad I didn’t have breakfast because I would have puked all over the place,’ the woman’s defence attorney told the paper after he viewed portions of the video in court. ‘It was disgusting.’

Redford was already on parole for a similar animal cruelty violation last year, he has yet to be charged in the heinous crimes.

Adam Renford (right), he has yet to be charged but has a prior animal cruelty conviction

The ship captain’s website boasts that he has ‘been a part of many video productions related to South Florida fishing.’

Zamora’s Model mayhem profile, in which she goes by Gloria Shynez, talks up her ‘Middle-Eastern look,’ which she says ‘distinguishes from many models.

‘I am so excited to see what fun, beautiful shots we create together!’

Other Florida listings for a Gloria Shynez appear on Tampa Foot Party, tickle fetish sites and on another site that claims she ‘is a hot model available for nude and fetish custom videos.’

Her rates are flexible and she is ‘extremely easy to work with,’ according to her Model Mayhem profile.

Zamora was was hit with eight felony counts of animal cruelty, each carries a maximum five year prison sentence if convicted.

She was already on parole for a litany of criminal charges including grant theft with a firearm, multiple counts of credit card fraud, holding a fake driver’s license and multiple drug possession counts, records showed.

The repeat offender had been in jail for the past month after violating the terms of her parole by failing a drug test, according to the paper.

She was due to be set free and was arrested only hours before her scheduled release.

GRAPHIC MEDIA: A new BUAV investigation has uncovered the shocking killing of puppies, kittens and other baby animals BORN TO DIE in a UK laboratory.

Comments Off on GRAPHIC MEDIA: A new BUAV investigation has uncovered the shocking killing of puppies, kittens and other baby animals BORN TO DIE in a UK laboratory.

“So sorry for the lack of posts (the stories I’m posting are perhaps weeks old, but I started them so will finish them) as a result of illness, I’m just going to post the stories without all the categories etc. as I figure that’s better than nothing!  It’s all just a bit too much, so please bear with me!”

“Posting on behalf of the BUAV…please sign the petition at the end of this post”

  • Footage shows dozens of puppies and kittens taken from mothers and killed
  • They can be heard screaming in terror as they are restrained by researchers
  • They are later killed and dissected, before bodies are dumped in bin as waste
  • One employee can be heard saying ‘That’s you done, you can go in our bin’
  • Animals are as young as four-weeks-old – and their mothers are also killed
  • Video filmed by investigator working undercover at facility for eight months
  • Employee was working on behalf of British Union for Abolition of Vivisection
  • Lab owned by pharmaceutical giant Merck Sharp & Dohme
  • MSD says it did not break any laws and adheres to animal testing regulation

Eating: Some had reportedly been imported into the UK from overseas breeding farms at just a few weeks old – causing them to suffer from ulcers, high temperatures and weight loss. Above, dinner time at the centre.

A horrific video has emerged showing puppies and kittens panicking as they wait to be dissected at an animal testing laboratory.

The footage was filmed as part of an undercover investigation by the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV) at the government-licensed centre.

It shows the animals – some as young as four-weeks-old – screaming, crying and whimpering as they are taken from their mothers and killed.

The video was taken by an investigator, known as ‘Susie’, who worked at the laboratory for eight months until December last year, according to the Sunday Express.

It shows puppies and kittens shrieking in terror as they are restrained by researchers – just seconds before they are given a lethal injection and cut up for examination.

Meanwhile, a black puppy can be heard screaming and thrashing around as two researchers prepare to take its blood at the centre, which is owned by US pharmaceutrical giant Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD).

And a young canine yelps loudly as a female employee struggles to find a suitable vein in his leg in which to inject him.

Oh dear. What a fuss, what a fuss,’ the woman can be heard saying. ‘Perhaps your leg was a bit sore. Was it from all those bleeds? Oh dear, oh dear.’

The employee eventually administers the lethal dose after trying the puppy’s other leg – before commenting: ‘That’s gotcha.’

Family: Many of the animals are born at the laboratory for the sole purpose of being dissected for examination at just a few weeks old – with their healthy mothers (including this dog, above) often killed just hours later Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2571532/Video-shows-distress-puppies-kittens-waiting-dissected-animal-testing-laboratory.html#ixzz2wSICAorm Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook

She then adds: ‘Put up a bit of a fight, didn’t you, yeah?’ The footage also shows scenes of puppies and kittens lying on operating tables as employees insert needles and cutting equipment into their bodies. In one particularly horrific scene, a researcher lifts a motionless puppy onto a table, saying: ‘Yes, this is where it gets messy. Right, OK. Come on then little fella.

Waiting to die: A staggering 92 puppies, 10 female dogs and at least 15 kittens were killed during the project

‘Let’s make sure you have departed before we start getting our bits and pieces.

‘A staggering 92 puppies, 10 adult female dogs and at least 15 kittens were killed during the investigation at the centre, according to BUAV.

However, the undercover investigator managed to rescue two adult dogs, Bonnie and Billie, and a five-month-old puppy, Oliver, during the project – while two others were rehomed.

Many of the animals are believed to have been born at the laboratory for the sole purpose of being dissected for examination at a young age – with their healthy mothers often killed just hours later.

Others had reportedly been imported into the UK from overseas breeding farms at only a few weeks old – causing them to suffer from ulcers, high temperatures and weight loss.

During the eight-month period, the facility also dissected a number of rabbits and chickens, according to BUAV.

Today, Michelle Thew, chief executive of BUAV, said the union had released the video in a bid to add transparency to the public debate about animal testing.

Action: Home Office minister, Norman Baker (above), is believed to have called for a full report into the laboratory’s activities

‘This is a secret the research industry would never want to be released into the public domain,’ she said.

‘Millions of families throughout the UK who share their homes and lives with cats and dogs will be appalled by these revelations.

‘It is unacceptable, not only that these animals are suffering and dying in this way, but that many of them could have been released into loving homes instead of being killed and discarded for convenience sake.’

She added that thousands of dogs and hundreds of cats are used in research every year in UK, despite widespread concern about their use.

Meanwhile, Home Office minister, Norman Baker, told the Sunday Express his department had carried out ‘a number’ of inspections at the  facility over the past year – but added that he has now called for a full report into the centre’s activities.

MSD told MailOnline that it ‘adheres to all regulatory standards of testing and development of vaccines’.

It added that it is obliged by law to test certain drugs on animals, including vaccines for kennel cough, parvovirus and feline calicivirus.

A spokesman said: ‘Animal well-being is core to our mission. All MSD animal health research is performed by qualified, trained personnel.

‘Our facilities are in full compliance with all laws and regulations, and procedures and facilities are regularly reviewed and inspected by relevant regulatory authorities.’

Farewell old friend: The touching moment man, 21, who is dying of cancer was allowed to say last goodbye to his beloved childhood dog.

A tear-jerking photograph showing the moment a man dying of cancer said goodbye to his beloved childhood dog has touched hearts across the nation.

Mike Petrosino, 21, was diagnosed with cancer in the eighth grade. He has been in and out of Massachusetts General Hospital since then but last week doctors said there was nothing more they could do.

So on Friday, his family brought his dear dog Rusty to the hospital to say a final goodbye. The emotional image of the pet by his bedside was shared on Reddit and has since gone viral.

Mike’s friend posted the picture Friday with the comment: ‘My friend Mike was diagnosed with cancer in the 8th grade. He was given a 3% chance to survive the first year.

‘Two days ago we found out that after 8 years, the amputation of his leg, and four rounds of cancer that there’s now nothing that they can do. This picture was taken by his brother yesterday.’

Doctors expect Mike’s battle with cancer to end in the coming days.

The friend, who uses the Reddit name 7th Evan, added in the comment thread: ‘I just got back from Mass General and got to say goodbye with a bunch of old friends. He’s the bravest guy I’ve ever met and all he did the entire day was make sure everyone else was okay.’

He added: ‘Seeing Rusty come visit was one of the few things that has been able to make his brother, John, smile.’

John Petrosino told TheBlaze the moment was deeply moving, and Rusty, who is now 10 years old, seemed to understand the gravity of what was going on.

‘That was by far one of the most touching moments of my life,’ he told the website.

‘Rusty was very emotional when Mike said his finale goodbye. Every time I come home these past two days, he sits near Mike’s favourite couch and whines, which is rare from him.’

Mike’s mother, Paula, agreed seeing the best friends say goodbye was almost too much to handle.

Special Needs School Counsellor Charged With Bestiality Involving Pet Dog Now ‘Accused of Having Sex With A Boy And Showing Him Pictures Of Bestiality

Comments Off on Special Needs School Counsellor Charged With Bestiality Involving Pet Dog Now ‘Accused of Having Sex With A Boy And Showing Him Pictures Of Bestiality

“Sick bxxxh, needs locking up to protect children & animals; I hope she pay’s dearly for this!”

A Maryland school district worker charged with bestiality involving her pet dog also allegedly had sex with a boy, it was revealed this week.

During a hearing Wednesday, a judge ruled that 46-year-old Stephanie Mikles will stand trial for allegedly having sex with the family pet between August 1 and August 31, 2008.

Mikles, who had worked for the Hartford County School District, was arrested after a search of her Jarrettsville home has reportedly yielded a CD containing a dozen photos of the woman having intercourse with the pooch.

The search was reportedly prompted by allegations made by a boy who claimed he had sex with Mikles, the Baltimore Sun reported.

According to the unnamed minor, after their encounter, the educator showed him a recording of sexual acts involving her pet dog.

Miss Mikles has yet to be charged in connection to the alleged child sex abuse.

The 46-year-old defendant, who had been employed as a behavioral specialist, working with special education teachers, was placed on unpaid administrative leave. On Wednesday, a district spokesperson said that Mikles no longer works for the school system.

In the course of the hearing, Mikles‘ attorney, Leslie Gladstone, unsuccessfully argued that the charge of ‘unnatural or perverted practice’ is too vague and was rendered unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Disturbing twist: A boy told investigators in 2008 that he had sex with Mikles and was later shown recordings of her engaging in sexual acts with her dog

Gladstone maintained that the charge in question was designed only to punish people for practices seen as ‘abhorrent morally and religiously.

‘If my client was charged with cruelty to animals, there may be an issue there,’ he said.

Judge Robert Dugan also dismissed a motion filed by Gladstone to supress the photos seized from Mikles’ home.

Allegations of bestiality against Mikles came to light in 2008 when she was investigated for child pornography and sexual abuse of a minor.

In Maryland there is no statute of limitations for bestiality charges so authorities were able to press charges as soon as they discovered the evidence.

The boy had told child advocates with the Hartford County that he had sex with Mikles and was later shown depictions of her engaging in sexual acts with her dog.

Acting on that information, officers served Mikles with a search warrant and seized a CD from her home, which reportedly contained 12 photos believed to have been taken by a third party of the 46-year-old school employee having sex with an animal.

The defence attorney claimed that officers with the Child Advocacy Centre violated the search warrant’s instructions by failing to inspect the images in a lab.

Mikles is expected to go on trial in August. If convicted of the bestiality charge, she could face up to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay a fine of up to $10,000.

In May, local TV station ABC2 reported that the dog at the center of the bestiality case still lived with Mikles.

BACKGROUND !
Parks trainings of hunting dogs (called “Pritravochnye stations“) See video above! are places where hunters can train their dogs using wild animals as prey, such as wild boars, bears and wolves and smaller animals such as raccoons, foxes, badgers and rabbits.

The dogs risk almost nothing!  People pull out teeth and claws of the wild animals so they can’t hurt their hunting dogs during the trainings with these wild animals. (Their teeth and claws are removed as a precaution) but these poor wild animals are suffering to death, they are scared, they are super stressed (and sometimes are dying of stress or injury) they are living in constant fear – says a veterinarian Semen Sereda. These animals are bitten dozens and hundreds of times. Experts say it is possible to make this process more humane, for that you need to change the law ..

Dogs can train every day, costing to the owner 300 rubles. (about $ 7) per session. The dog has ten minutes to bite the animal and that the maximum…but for the small animals it usually finishes with animal death!

It becomes impossible to the wild animal to fight back. They don’t even try to fight back because they are so terrified..of being abused. These people if the teeth are not been removed put a wood stick into the wolf’s jaws-mouth so they can’t bite.

They chain the bears so the bear can’t more than one feet. They also taking rabbits cubs, foxes and badgers and put them into a special “tunnel” so they can’t run away; and leave the mad dogs rushing on them inside the tunnel (as pictured/video below)

There are about ten parks trainings dogs in Moscow region. But across Russia they are hundreds of them; each of these parks operate legitimately. Because any law prohibiting such existing operating in Russia. The workouts dog parks bring in families with children and their guest, advertising is everywhere: on roadsides, in newspapers, on the Internet.

But there is also an much more gruesome underground “illegal parks” which is very well known by regular confidential customers .. Illegal parks whose advertising does not exist; but only from mouth to mouth…at the request of the customer if he wishes, his dogs can torment a chained boar or a chained bear until it dies .. (a kind of bear baiting till the death follows)

We urge the Russian government to put an end to this unacceptable huge barbarism !!! please sign the petitions massively ! (especially the first one!)

Graphic Image Inc.:Odisha Signs MoU With Wildlife Trust Of India To Save Elephants From Being Hit By Trains

Comments Off on Graphic Image Inc.:Odisha Signs MoU With Wildlife Trust Of India To Save Elephants From Being Hit By Trains

“Please Note Graphic Image: furthest down page! Two items of related news: the first  shows yet another image of an elephant killed  by speeding train, in March  2013. In that article India’s Rail Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal stressed the need to protect the elephants from trains…the current news below is a step in the right direction!”

BHUBANESWAR: In a bid to check growing number of cases of elephants being fatally hit by trains, Odisha government today signed an MoU with the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) to develop a mitigation plan.

The New Delhi-based WTI would identify and map the critical accident prone sites and habitats of elephants and also identify factors – ecological, physical and man-made- responsible for accidental deaths of elephants.

“WTI will prepare a detailed report on mitigation plan and implement the Rs 9.9 lakh project over a period of 12 months,” said Forest and Environment minister Bijayshree Routray after signing the MoU.

Last year, the state has witnessed death of about 13 elephants due to train hits. While seven jumbos were killed due to train accidents in Keonjhar, four in Berhampur of Ganjam district and two in Dhenkanal district.

The state government had held several meetings with the Indian Railway authorities and the Ministry of Environment and Forest(MoEF) on the issue. However, there had been no such improvement in the situation.

WTI will simultaneously organise consultations/ meetings/workshops with the staff of forest department and other stake holders departments and finalise mitigation plan and jointly implement a few identified shot term mitigation plan like signage along the railway track and awareness of train drivers, the minister said.

March 2013 –  Giant elephant killed by speeding train INSIDE nature reserve as it tries to cross track in remote northeast India

This tragic photo shows the body of a tusker elephant who died today when he was hit by a speeding train in West Bengal.

The adult elephant was struck by a train in a forest at the Buxa Tiger Reserve, a few miles from Alipurduar in north east India.

A speeding passenger train, the Guwahati-bound Somporkkranti Express, hit the elephant while he was crossing the railway line. He died instantly.

The tiger reserve where the elephant was killed is inside the Buxa National Park, which runs along India’s boundary with Bhutan.

This means that the tiger reserve serves as international corridor for elephants migrating between India and Bhutan, making a it a danger spot for train drivers.

Indian forest guards now have the difficult task of getting the huge animal off the tracks so that the train line can reopen.

Sadly this fatal collision was not an isolated incident.

As recently as December last year, five elephants were killed after they were hit by a passenger train in the eastern Indian state of Orissa.

They were crossing railway tracks with their herd.

At the moment there are around 26,000 wild elephants in India.

Although elephants are worshipped by many Indians, their shrinking habitat has made them increasingly unsafe, especially when travelling cross country.

The state of Orissa in eastern India last year issued a warning, asking trains to slow down because of moving elephants herd, but they say it was ignored.

The main reasons for elephant deaths are poaching, eating crops poisoned by farmers, and being hit by trains.

Last week, India’s Rail Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal stressed the need to protect the elephants from trains, describing the animals as ‘gentle giants’  whose lives must be safeguarded.

Convicted Sex Offender Sentenced: Up To 15 Years In Prison For BESTIALITY

Comments Off on Convicted Sex Offender Sentenced: Up To 15 Years In Prison For BESTIALITY

“At last, a Judge who actually cares enough about animals, to use the powers given to him; to encaserate this sick bxxxxxd!! Lets just hope Judge Timothy Hicks, uses his  influence & balls, to put this depraved repugnant pig, who is a fourth time offender; behind bars for the maximum number of years possible! This is yet another case which points out the obvious…these rancorous reprobates, can’t be cured, don’t want to be cured & will re-offended; given the opportunity…so judges should be making sure these repulsive sickos are not given the convenience to re-offend so easily!!

Animals do not have a voice, they cannot give consent before a human has sex with them; therefore it is rape! Raping an animal is yet another valid reason, why every state & city should be setting up Animal Abuse Registers! Just as Peodophile Registers are used, police can cross reference names & keep tabs on animal rapists, abusers etc. Animal charities such as the ASPCA, RSPCA etc. can use the Register to check names of job applicants or before adopting out animals. History has proven many times, that some offenders start a life of crime by abusing or raping animals, then turn predator to human victims. So…FFS…what more proof do the powers that be need; before they get Animal Abuse Registers implemented ASAP??

Please note the petitions at the bottom of this post, please sign & share.

Under state guidelines, Peterson would have been sentenced to time in a county jail and probation, but because he had already served 321 days behind bars, Peterson would have been released almost immediately.

Silent victims

The 37-year-old Muskegon man pleaded no contest last March to ‘the abominable and detestable crime against nature,’ also known as sodomy or bestiality, and charged as a fourth-time habitual offender.

Peterson’s attorney, Belinda Barbier, said in court that her client has serious mental health issues that require long-term counseling, and the judge agreed that the defendant has ‘pretty low cognitive ability.’

However, experts at the Michigan Center for Forensic Psychiatry earlier examined Peterson and determined that he was sane while sexually abusing the animals, and he was competent to stand trial.

The first incident involving Peterson took place April 2010 at his apartment at 230 Amity Avenue in Muskegon when he was caught kneeling naked behind his blue heeler on his bed, having sex with the pet, according to testimony by an eyewitness cited by MLive.com.

In early June, the same witness said she walked in on a naked Peterson apparently having sex with a white pit bull on the floor of his living room. The 37-year-old man was arrested a short time after the second incident.

Silent victims

Testifying at a preliminary hearing about the April incident, the witness, Joyce Yeaw, said Peterson told her he was ‘just hugging his dog,‘ but the woman said it looked like a lot more than an embrace between an owner and his pooch.

Yeaw testified that she and a friend stopped by Peterson’s home to return car keys they had borrowed from his roommate when they caught him in the act. She said she called 911, but no arrest was made until June.

‘He was having sex with the dog,’ Yeaw said in court at the time. ‘It was disgusting.

Muskegon police detective Peter Boterenbrood, who interviewed Peterson after the June incident, said that Peterson told him he was ‘just playing with the dog’ in April, but he became sexually aroused from accidental contact with the animal’s rear.

Court records show that Peterson was convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in 1996 in Allegan County, and in 2010 for carrying a concealed weapon and making a false report of a felony.

Chihuahua Recovering After Owner’s Grandson Beat It Then Stuffed It In A 350-degree Oven

Comments Off on Chihuahua Recovering After Owner’s Grandson Beat It Then Stuffed It In A 350-degree Oven

“Thank God, this sick bxxxxxd’s brother came back & found Kudo in time; I dread to think what would have happened, had he not! This is just another reason, why we need Animal Abuse Registers, he already confessed to having anger issues; so why wait until he hurts somebody else? Once his case has been dealt with, his name will slip into the abyss; along with all the other animal abusers! So for the protection of the public & their pets, these maniacs need to be kept track off…just like paedophiles are!!”

A 20-year-old Oregon man has admitted to stuffing his grandmother’s tiny Chihuahua in a 350-degree oven after repeatedly punching it in the head because it nipped him.

Kevin Dean Parrish said he may have cooked the dog alive on Friday, but his brother came home and interrupted the horrific animal abuse

Little Kudo, a Chihuahua-pincher mix, suffered cuts and bruises from the beating, as well as singed hair and burns on his paws that were so severe he had trouble standing.

Veterinarians say the six-year-old dog is expected to make a full recovery after Parrish’s family nursed it back to health.

Parrish, who says he has ‘anger issues,’ lives with his grandmother in Lyons, Oregon, and was caring for her dog while she is out of state.

He told police that he was pre-heating the oven to cook enchiladas for his lunch on Friday when he went to check on Kudo in his cage.

Parrish, who is 5-foot-11 and weighs 200 pounds, said he became enraged when the little dog nipped his hand.

‘Anger problems’: Kevin Dean Parrish, 20, admitted to abusing the dog

He took Kudo out of his cage and punched the nine-pound dog in the head several times.

He also admitted to police that he choked the dog.

After battering the animal, he said, he decided to stuff it in the oven, which was heated to 350 degrees.

It is unknown exactly how long the dog was inside before Parrish’s brother came home and saw what was happening.

The suspect’s brother took the dog to a veterinarian and his father called police.

Parrish faces felony aggravated animal abuse charges.

Moment Courageous Cat Is Nose To Nose With Zoo Crocodile And Wins

Comments Off on Moment Courageous Cat Is Nose To Nose With Zoo Crocodile And Wins

  • Crocodile approaches cat at water’s edge of reptile enclosure at zoo
  • Cat hisses at crocodile and swats it twice causing it to retreat underwater

When a domestic cat came face to face with a crocodile it seemed the feline was about to meet a grisly end.

The hapless ginger and white cat found its way into the crocodile enclosure at a zoo in Jaipur, India,

As one reptile glided up to the animal at the water’s edge onlookers tried unsuccessfully to scare the moggy away.

The domestic cat too a swipe at the snout of the formidable predator as it approached in the crocodile enclosure

But if the crocodile thought feeding time had come early and the cat would be its helpless victim, it had underestimated the fearsome feline.

As the croc poised to snap up the unusual prey in its jaws, the cat finally spotted the danger in the water to the relief of zoo-goers who assumed it would flee.

Instead it hissed at the crocodile and swiped out with its paw not once, but twice, scratching the croc on the snout.

The crocodile, perhaps not used to such feisty prey gave up and retreated back into the water.

The battle was filmed by Manu Chaudhary, 25, and her husband Vishal, 26, from Southall, Middlesex, who were celebrating their first wedding anniversary by taking in the sights of India.

Mr Chaudhary, who lives in New Delhi, India, said: ‘While we were at the crocodile section we realised a cat had got in and was at the edge of the crocodile pond.

‘We initially thought the cat was under the impression that it was a rat in the pond.

‘When the crocodile came up in the water we felt sure we were witnessing the last minutes of her life.

‘We couldn’t believe it though when the cat daringly warned the crocodile and then fearlessly slapped it twice.

‘I was just screaming: “Oh my God, oh my God”. We were amazed at what we had seen.’

In the video the couple can be heard crying: ‘She’s fighting, oh wow, that’s superb. Look at it!‘ The cat is seen scratching the crocodile before sauntering off

GHARIAL CROCODILES

Gharial crocodiles, also known as fish-eating crocodiles, are one of three kinds which are native to India.

The other two Indian crocodiles are the mugger crocodile and the saltwater crocodile.

Gharial crocs are in serious decline in the wild and listed as ‘critically endangered.

They are one of the longest kinds of crocodiles, with males reaching up to six metres in length (20ft).

They have long thin jaws lined with 100 razor sharp teeth and prey on fish, although they have been known to eat small animals.

They have a bulbous growth on the tip of their snout called ghara which is used to make a hissing mating call.

Who will give a home to Wonky? Abandoned Puppy Left Disabled By Poor Diet Needs A Loving Owner

Comments Off on Who will give a home to Wonky? Abandoned Puppy Left Disabled By Poor Diet Needs A Loving Owner

“OMG…how could anyone resist that sweet, beautiful, innocent face? I would have her tomorrow; if I wasn’t disabled myself! I’m sure there is a special person out there who can give this little girl the help, love &  support she needs. Hopefully they can get her back on her front legs, walking, by carrying on with the physiotherapy she is getting at the centre; ” The Dogs Trust” will help subsidise payment for her physiotherapy fee’s!”

“Please, don’t just want her because of her cute looks now. She will grow up, like any other dog, so one must be prepared for all eventualities & face them head on! Remember, owning any dog is a big commitment, they are for life & they should be loved as part of the family…not just some grass ornament or cheap burglar alarm! It would be tragic if this special little girl got dumped at the local pound when her cute puppy stage is gone & the novelty of having her has worn off!”

“Just as an afterthought, this pup isn’t one you could forget in a hurry; it was found wandering the streets! So if anybody know’s where it came from, let the police or Dogs Trust know. There could there be more Wonkey’s that have been thrown out, due to their deformity’s; I certainly wouldn’t put it passed someone to abandon them; if they thought they couldn’t make money from them!”

  • The 11-week-old was dumped on a street and developed deformed front legs
  • Charity says she needs care, love and attention from a new owner
  • But they fear people may be put off because of her ‘un-traditional looks’
  • Wonky has condition which means her legs go inwards and can’t extend

This is Wonky, a poor puppy left with a heartbreaking disability after being dumped on the street as a baby, who now needs a new home where she will be loved.

Tragic: Wonky was found just dumped on the street and has been left badly disabled but those who look after her say despite her problems she is a gem

The eleven-week-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross was given her unusual name because of severe problems with her malformed front legs developed because she was separated from her mother.

Experts say she desperately needs care and attention after being afflicted with horrific joint ‘knuckling’ that has left her unable to walk very well.

Wonky was found wandering the streets as a stray and was brought to Dogs Trust by a member of the public a fortnight ago.

With two underdeveloped front legs and her ‘un-traditional looks’, staff are worried she may struggle to find a new home.

Amanda Sands, Manager at Dogs Trust Leeds, said: ‘She’s had a very tough start in life. She was taken from her mother too early and was then having to fend for herself on the streets at just nine-weeks old.

‘She isn’t a traditionally pretty pooch but she’s a lovely girl with a great character.

‘We really hope people can see beyond appearances and someone can give her the fresh start she deserves – a new home where she’ll be loved and cared for.

Plea: The Dogs Trust are hoping to re-home the cute dog but fear her ‘un-traditional look’ and disability will put people off

Wonky is suffering from an extreme case of the condition known as knuckling of the carpal joints.

This is caused by contraction of the tendons which prevents the wrist joint from extending fully and means her front feet bend inwards because her tendons are too short.

‘It’s such a sad case because this is completely preventable if only she’d had the right love and care,’ Ms Sands said today.

‘She has not had the right supplements to enable her to grow properly and so her front legs are too weak.

‘We don’t know everything about her background but we think that she was removed from her mother too early and was then abandoned. She has not had the right nutrition and a poor diet has meant her front legs are underdeveloped.’

Since arriving at the centre on February 7, brave Wonky is already showing signs of improvement after receiving regular physiotherapy treatment to straighten her legs.

Ms Sands said: ‘Physiotherapy will really help to strengthen her muscles. We have to stretch her legs into a straight position 30 times twice a day. Hopefully in time her legs will begin to straighten to aid her walking.

‘She will need regular trips to the specialist vet to keep a track of her  progress.

Poor Wonky: The eleven-week-old puppy, whose front legs failed to develop properly after she was taken from her mother too early, needs a new loving home

‘At the minute she is able to walk but she rests her weight on her front joints as her legs are bent.

With the right treatment, she will hopefully be able to live a normal life and  do all the things a puppy should be able to enjoy.

‘At the minute, she struggles to run and can only be taken on very short walks  which is very sad to see.’

Staff at the centre are wanting to re-home Wonky and are looking for owners who  can continue her physiotherapywith costs supplemented by Dogs Trust.

It is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 18 Rehoming Centres across the UK and one in Dublin. “I am a member of “Dogs Trust” as I think they do a great job of re-homing animals.”

Amanda Francis spokesman for the charity said: ‘Usually physical deformity is the result of unscrupulous breeders or they haven’t been properly looked after and most of the time it’s something that is completely preventable.’

If you would like to give Wonky a new home contact Dogs Trust Leeds on 0113 281 4920.
