Man ‘Raped Multiple Miniature Horses & Killed The Barn Dog Trained To Protect Them’

A woman is trying to catch a man she says broke into her barn on several occasions, sexually abused her miniature horses and then killed the guard dog they trained to protect them. “He has to be found before he commits any more heinous acts like this!”

Abby Conder, from Florida, said her miniature horse Joy – who she treats like one of her children – is traumatized and sustained life-threatening injuries after the man broke in and raped her in the recent attack – which have been taking place since May.

Mrs Conder said: ‘She had been severely brutalized, she had been raped both by a man and with several objects.

Pets: Abby Conder keeps a number of prized miniature horses in a barn outside her home and has recently installed CCTV footage to find the culprit

‘She had a large hematoma [sic] on the back and so bloody that she looked like her whole body had been put through a garbage disposal.’

The vet found bodily fluids inside the horse.

The Marion county sheriff investigators took a report but said they could not help unless the suspect was caught in the act.

The couple bought a dog to protect the horses but he was beaten to death as well.

 

Suspect: Mrs Conder is hoping someone will recognize the man in the video so they can catch him and put an end to the senseless attacks

Mrs Conder told Fox2: ‘We have to catch him in the act and then call the police. But we don’t want to die trying to protect our horses. The horse can’t fight, they don’t know to fight. They would go with anyone.

Trauma: Joy was severely brutalized and had been raped both by a man and with several objects, Mrs Conder said

I’ve never shot a gun in my life but if I catch this man in this barn taking out another one of my horses and he’s gonna traumatize this young horse and hurt her internally like he has my other horses, I will come down and I will kill him.’ “Good for you girl, just make sure you aim at his private parts, where it’s gonna hurt the most & hopefully stop this heinous pastime!”

The horse owners then installed surveillance and a live internet feed. On Saturday the man once again sneaked into the barn, took one of the horses outside and performed the same abuse. 

Mrs Conder is hoping that someone will recognize the man from the CCTV footage and they can put a stop to these heinous acts.

In 2011, Florida passed a law banning sex with animals.

White Man Guilty Of Sex With Miniature Horse And Rape, Gets 3 Years In Jail…Just 3 years….

A Wilmer, Ala. man admitted to raping a woman and sexually abusing a miniature horse  on Tuesday in a plea deal that will allow his release in less than two years.

AL.com reports that Eric Steven Easley  was sentenced to three years in prison, but he’s already spent 14 months in jail, meaning with time served, he’ll be out in 22 months. He was technically sentenced to 15 years, but the deal stipulated that all but three of those be suspended.

The site notes that neither Easley, the prosecuting attorney nor judge Joseph “Rusty” Johnston seemed fully satisfied with the plea deal, which the prosecution claimed it offered because there were “legal issues” surrounding Easley’s rape victim.

Easley was arrested  in July 2011 after a woman said he broke into her home, raped her and held her for several hours against her will, according to a previous story by AL.com.

In 2010, deputies in Mobile, Ala. said they found evidence that a miniature horse’s tail had been tied to a post and the horse had been sexually abused, according to the Weekly Vice.

Deputies found a wallet with Easley’s driver’s license and Social Security card at the scene.

Judge Johnston dismissed animal cruelty and domestic violence charges as part of the plea deal, but Easley admitted to the charges of rape and killing or disabling livestock

Jury Finds Owner of Animal Rescue Guilty on 8 of 10 Charges

 

Dawn Hamill, owner of Dazzle’s Painted Pastures Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, was found guilty Friday of eight counts of violation of owner’s duties and not guilty on two counts of animal neglect.

It took a jury four hours of deliberations Friday, Sept. 14, to find Dawn Hamill guilty of eight of 10 counts against her in a four-day animal abuse trial.

Hamill, the owner of Dazzle’s Painted Pastures Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, was accused of eight misdemeanor counts of violation of owner’s duties in connection to eight puppies reportedly found in cold, filthy conditions during a Feb. 11, 2011, raid on her property. She was found guilty on those eight counts but the seven-man, five-woman jury found her not guilty on two other counts of animal neglect, stemming from the discovery of a miniature horse and a Himalayan cat found dead on the property during the same raid.

Prosecutors Richard Stake Jr. and Sarah Naughton presented several witnesses for their case, and the defense began its case Thursday in Judge Anna Helen Demacopolous’ courtroom in Markham.

Defense attorney Purav Bhatt said he was disappointed with some of the verdict.

“But the jury deliberated for a considerable amount of time,” he added, “which shows that it was a thoughtful verdict between them. And that’s what juries are for.”

The court clerk delivered the verdict at about 8:30 p.m. Friday, with a courtroom of about a dozen people—family and supporters of Hamill, as well as animal rights advocates.

Some of those advocates had strong words after the Hamill: “I’m so happy about it, that she was found guilty,” said Dina Bernichio.

Hamill’s Testimony

Hamill was the last witness to take the stand, testifying for about three hours Friday morning. She broke down twice on the stand, crying at mentions of Tiny, the miniature horse found dead.

As her employee Dawn Dorian testified the day before, Hamill said Tiny was alive the night before the raid. She said that as a miniature horse he suffered from the genetic effects of dwarfism, but he was a happy animal.

During direct examination, Hamill said the deceased Himalayan cat was one of more than 20 animals that her former employee, Christine Kelly, brought back to the rescue after a trip to Missouri. Hamill said Kelly was fired because she had been told not to bring any more animals to the facility. Along with the cat, Kelly brought back the eight puppies, Hamill testified.

“[Kelly] was fired the week before [the raid] for bringing more animals to the property without permission or room,” Hamill said.

Sentencing

Hamill’s sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 25 in Room 203 of the Markham Courthouse. The charges she was found guilty of are misdemeanors; it was not immediately clear late Friday what the penalty might be for those charges.
