“At last, a Judge who actually cares enough about animals, to use the powers given to him; to encaserate this sick bxxxxxd!! Lets just hope Judge Timothy Hicks, uses his influence & balls, to put this depraved repugnant pig, who is a fourth time offender; behind bars for the maximum number of years possible! This is yet another case which points out the obvious…these rancorous reprobates, can’t be cured, don’t want to be cured & will re-offended; given the opportunity…so judges should be making sure these repulsive sickos are not given the convenience to re-offend so easily!!

Animals do not have a voice, they cannot give consent before a human has sex with them; therefore it is rape! Raping an animal is yet another valid reason, why every state & city should be setting up Animal Abuse Registers! Just as Peodophile Registers are used, police can cross reference names & keep tabs on animal rapists, abusers etc. Animal charities such as the ASPCA, RSPCA etc. can use the Register to check names of job applicants or before adopting out animals. History has proven many times, that some offenders start a life of crime by abusing or raping animals, then turn predator to human victims. So…FFS…what more proof do the powers that be need; before they get Animal Abuse Registers implemented ASAP??

A convicted sex offender from Michigan has been sentenced to one-to-15 years in a state prison for repeatedly having sex with dogs.

Kurtis Peterson learned his fate on Monday when Judge Timothy Hicks went above state sentencing guidelines to keep the repeat offender in a controlled environment to prevent him from re-offending.

Under state guidelines, Peterson would have been sentenced to time in a county jail and probation, but because he had already served 321 days behind bars, Peterson would have been released almost immediately.

Silent victims

The 37-year-old Muskegon man pleaded no contest last March to ‘the abominable and detestable crime against nature,’ also known as sodomy or bestiality, and charged as a fourth-time habitual offender.

Peterson’s attorney, Belinda Barbier, said in court that her client has serious mental health issues that require long-term counseling, and the judge agreed that the defendant has ‘pretty low cognitive ability.’

However, experts at the Michigan Center for Forensic Psychiatry earlier examined Peterson and determined that he was sane while sexually abusing the animals, and he was competent to stand trial.

The first incident involving Peterson took place April 2010 at his apartment at 230 Amity Avenue in Muskegon when he was caught kneeling naked behind his blue heeler on his bed, having sex with the pet, according to testimony by an eyewitness cited by MLive.com.

In early June, the same witness said she walked in on a naked Peterson apparently having sex with a white pit bull on the floor of his living room. The 37-year-old man was arrested a short time after the second incident.

Silent victims

Testifying at a preliminary hearing about the April incident, the witness, Joyce Yeaw, said Peterson told her he was ‘just hugging his dog,‘ but the woman said it looked like a lot more than an embrace between an owner and his pooch.

Yeaw testified that she and a friend stopped by Peterson’s home to return car keys they had borrowed from his roommate when they caught him in the act. She said she called 911, but no arrest was made until June.

‘He was having sex with the dog,’ Yeaw said in court at the time. ‘It was disgusting.‘

Muskegon police detective Peter Boterenbrood, who interviewed Peterson after the June incident, said that Peterson told him he was ‘just playing with the dog’ in April, but he became sexually aroused from accidental contact with the animal’s rear.

Court records show that Peterson was convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in 1996 in Allegan County, and in 2010 for carrying a concealed weapon and making a false report of a felony.

“R.I.P Princess, I’m lost for words…& disturbed at how often this is happening!”

Deondra Peterson says there are few words to describe the teenagers who doused her dog, Princess, with lighter fluid and burned her last Saturday. The five month old husky/chow mix survived the attack, but died Monday afternoon after her injuries got worse.

“It’s evil. That’s sick .That’s very sick,” said Peterson.

Florence police say witnesses saw five or six teenagers pour lighter fluid on Princess near Iola Jones Park on Oakland Avenue.

Peterson says her dog ran into the home right after the attack, but she didn’t even realize it was Princess.

“I smell something burning so I’m checking around my house cause I’m thinking something outside might be on fire. A little boy walks by and was like oh yea, your dog was just on fire in the projects.”

Peterson says she can’t understand who would be so cruel to do that to her dog.

“You know how hot it was that day. I don’t understand what made yall want to set a dog on fire in a 104 degrees like you don’t think she was hot enough and then she was a chow and husky. She had a bunch of hair and you going to set her on fire and everybody take a turn squiring lighter fluid on a dog.”

Audrey Yon didn’t witness the attack, but was driving to work when she saw Princess on fire.

“I was on my way going to work and I see this dog was on fire. I say oh my God and I didn’t see a police in sight. I say Lord who done that,” said Yon.

Peterson says she cleaned Princess to take her to a veterinarian, but she ran under the house and stayed there until Monday.

Peterson crawled under the home and got Princess, but by then it was too late.

“I crawled under the house to get my dog. Like, I don’t know too many people’s, anybody else would have let their dog just die. I couldn’t do it. I didn’t want her to suffer. She smelled like her inside was just rotten. She smelled like a dead dog already but she was still alive,” Peterson explained.

She called the Florence City Animal Control to come get Princess and she died hours later.

“If you’ll set a dog on fire, imagine what they’ll do to another human. I don’t feel like people like that need to walk around.”

Officers say they have good leads on the teenagers believed to be involved. When arrested, they will be charged with Animal Cruelty.

MUSKEGON, MI – A 36-year-old Muskegon man has been charged with a felony for allegedly sexually assaulting two dogs that were living in his home, police said.

Kurtis Peter Peterson has been arraigned in Muskegon County 60th District Court on one count of crime against nature, or sodomy, a felony punishable up to 15 years in prison.

The charge is also known as bestiality.

However, Peterson is a fourth-time habitual offender, so he could potentially get life in prison if convicted.

A judge set his bond at $250,000. A preliminary examination is slated for June 20.

Police say Peterson sexually stimulated a pit bull belonging to his roommate at his home in the 200 block of Amity Street, where he also allegedly sexually penetrated his own blue heeler dog.

According to the police report, the most recent incident involving the blue heeler occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the man’s home.

It was allegedly witnessed by someone who had been in his home at the time as she passed his bedroom doorway and noticed the man naked on his bed apparently having sex with the animal, police said.

The man later told police that, while he was naked, he was only petting the dog. He has denied having sexual intercourse or sexually assaulting the dogs, police said.

Police say Peterson has also been witnessed sexually pleasuring the pit bull in the same home and allowed one of the dogs to pleasure him as well when he stepped out of the shower.

One of the dogs remain with Peterson’s roommate in the home. The other dog has since been removed, police said.

Peterson’s case is eerily similar to an incident involving a Muskegon man who was convicted of digitally penetrating his dog.

Jose Antonio Sanchez, then 59, was sentenced to prison in 2011 for 17 months to 22 1/2 years for one count of sodomy involving his boxer-mix dog.

The 2 ½- year-old 60-pound female dog in that case was examined by a veterinarian, who confirmed a sexual assault had taken place.

The dog, then known as “White Dog,” was later renamed Stella after she was taken in by Pound Buddies Rescue, authorities said.

Sanchez during a meeting with his parole officer in 2010 admitted the sexual assault, which he said happened at his home in the 200 block of East Grand Avenue. The incident was then reported to police.

Authorities later learned that Sanchez was abused as a child — including abuse that involved someone using a dog to sodomize Sanchez.

Meanwhile, authorities say Peterson has a criminal history.

According to the court file, Peterson was convicted of attempted fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in Allegan County in 1996. In 2010 he was convicted of carrying of concealed weapon in Muskegon County and making a false report of a felony.
