“What a pitiful outcome of this degenerate waste of space. It is well documented that those who harm animals; more often than not, end up hurting people. They should have made an example of this POS & enforced more jail time. Animal abusers need to see heavy penalties being dished out; if there is any hope of trying to stop them! Would be ABUSERS need to think of the consequences before they even think about hurting an animal! William Legget admitted “he didn’t know when to stop“ what happens next time he gets mad, just how far will he go then?….probably too far & an innocent life will end!!”
Legget said the dogs had been ‘naughty’ and he didn’t know when to stop
Judge jailed Leggett and told him he is ‘not a decent human being’

William Legget, 19, of Bedminster, Bristol, tied adult dog Balue to a bannister and punched, stamped and kicked her before turning on his puppy Nala, who he beat and threatened with a knife.
The older dog (above) escaped serious injury but Nala suffered a broken hip, jaw, cheek and a fractured skull.
District Judge Lynne Matthews jailed Legget for 17 weeks after telling him he was ‘not a decent human being’. She said she was ‘staggered’ by his cruelty and imposed a life ban on him keeping any animals, adding she ‘would not trust him with a goldfish’.
She also said the case should be reported to social services after hearing that Legget had a young child. Bristol Magistrates’ Court heard the beatings took place at Legget’s former home in Gravesend, Kent, in February last year.

When he was arrested Legget told police the dogs had been ‘naughty’ and said his only fault was not knowing when to ‘stop telling them off.’ Judge Matthews said: ‘With the puppy it wasn’t a slight fracture but the bone has broken away. ‘The veterinary surgeon said that break was a result of extreme force. You applied that extreme force.’

Legget admitted three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and two counts of failing to protect it from pain, suffering and injury.
John Stokes, defending, said his client had both emotional and behavioural problemsbut had a partner and a young child to look after.

Derek Fierro holds “Doc” at Chicago Canine Rescue Foundation in October 2011 when he adopted the dog. Fierro is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony, police said, for allegedly punching the dog to death.
Derek Fierro, 25, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony, police said. He is a teacher at Eugene FieldElementary School in the 7000 block of North Ashland Avenue, according to police and Chicago Public Schools records.
Fierro, who lives in the 500 block of West Roscoe Street, called 911 about 3 a.m. and asked police to meet him at Roscoe and North Broadway, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak said.
When officers arrived, he told them the dog was in trunk of his car and gave police the keys, Kubiak said. Officers checked it and found the male yellow dog. Fierro was crying when police arrived and said he was sorry about killing his dog, Kubiak said.
Fierro adopted the dog from the Chicago Canine Rescue Foundation last October, according to Lisa Klotnia, the foundation’s founder. The dog — a yellow lab chow mix — was several months old when adopted and had been named Doc because he was part of a litter of seven puppies. The dog was renamed “Queso” according to the foundation’s records.
“We reviewed his application, he came to meet Doc and we even did a home visit with him,” Klotnia said. “He seemed like a nice and normal guy.
“We try to be part of the dog’s life,” she said through tears. “If we’re ever needed, we let people know were here. That’s why it’s so devastating. We would have gladly taken this dog back if he was having any problems.”
She described Doc as a “real mutt,” part Labrador retriever, chow and maybe Alaskan huskie, Klotnia said. “Our hope is to give them a new home and we failed. He was a wonderful little pup.”
She said the foundation is reaching out to police to retrieve the dog’s remains and have them cremated.
CPS Inspector General James Sullivan said his office will investigate the incident, which could lead to disciplinary action against the teacher. Sullivan said his office always investigates cases where a district employee is arrested and charged with a “serious crime.”
A screenwriter, who has previously worked withSteven Spielberg, allegedly killed his poodle by punching it in the face.
Victim: The screenwriter allegedly flew into a rage on May 29 hitting his pet poodle, Lola, in the face. When he took her to the vet, staff became suspicious and launched an investigation
The TV writer hit his pet poodle, Lola, so hard that she died from a brain injury, according to police.
With the dog’s owner weighing in at 230 pounds and the tiny pooch weighing only 4 and a half, the pup did not stand a chance in the fight, reported the New York Post.
It is not clear how the 5-year-old dog had enraged Shuttleworth when he allegedly lashed out at her on May 29.
When Shuttleworth, who has also written for TV show ‘NYPD Blue‘, took his poodle to a vet, they became suspicious as to how the animal had died.

Staff at the veterinary called the ASPCA, who then took Lola for a necropsy.
‘Lola sustained a traumatic brain injury secondary to the application of blunt force to the right side of her head at the hands of the suspect, her owner,’ ASPCA spokesman Joseph Pentangelo told the Post. Shuttleworth, who charges $300 to read over scripts and also works at New York University as an administrative assistant, faces up to a year in prison if convicted. His wife, Isadora, described the incident as a ‘horrible accident’.
A similar animal cruelty scandal hit Hollywood actor Gerald Butler, who was accused of smacking an elderly couple’s pet greyhound in New York three years ago.
The ‘P.S. I Love You’ actor claimed the fracas began when the couple’s dog bit his pug, Lolita – and that he merely pulled the animals apart.
However, Fred and Maria Vareka argued that Butler flew into a rage smacking their pet in the head when the dogs’ sniffed each other.
The couple, from Queens, filed a complaint against the star but no charges were brought against him.
James Robert Wesolaski, 51, of Des Plaines, was charged with aggravated cruelty, and, according to the report, told police he got into a fight with his dog because it ran out the front door, and he said, “I’m done being nice.”
James Robert Wesolaski,
Police stated employees of the animal hospital reported the dog was seriously injured on Thursday. It had swollen eyes, which were bleeding from trauma and head injuries. Also, the capillaries in the dog’s eyes were broken, which indicated the dog was choked.
Jeff Paul, animal control officer, said the injured dog, an 11-year-old Lhasa Apso, was doing very well on Friday.
“[The dog] is doing much better and he’s expected to do just fine,” Paul said.
The injured dog as well as two other dogs were taken into custody by police, and brought to Northwest Animal Hospital for treatment. Paul said the dogs were impounded there and would be held until a resolution materialized.
