“How can children respect these pigs (or any other animal) when they are taught, to do such things?? I wonder how many of them actually go to church & learn the meaning of Christian Behaviour; if they think abusing an animal like this is acceptable…God help any animals they will one day own!! The kids allowed to witness such gross acts, are the very children we are looking to; to prevent animal abuse in the future….obviously not in this town though!! I think it’s diabolical, that humans are allowed to stress animals, in this way, for their own sick entertainment!!”
New video of church-sponsored “pig rassle” reveals unChristian behavior: jokes about beating and sexually abusing animals and children; Bishop of Green Bay questioned about his support.
GREEN BAY, WI – New video of a cruel and illegal “pig rassle” church fundraiser August 10 at St. Patrick Parish in Stephensville, Wisconsin documents vile behavior of the event supporters, including talk about abusing animals and children.
SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK) has released a video showing the brutal and illegal human/animal fighting at the fundraiser, and today calls for an investigation.
“It is important to remember this was a Catholic Church event, yet what we saw and experienced was anything but Christ-like behavior,” said SHARK President Steve Hindi. “This included supporters joking about beating and killing pigs and sexually assaulting them and children – while young children were present and listening.”SHARK is sending the link to this video to David Ricken, the Bishop of Green Bay, and calling on him to answer why a parish under his rule is sponsoring disgusting behavior that goes against everything his religion is supposed to stand for.“St. Patrick’s Parish has tried to whitewash the animal abuse they sponsor by calling it a church fundraiser,” notes Hindi. “What this video shows is that the Parish should be spending more time teaching their members about Christ’s message of peace and love and stop teaching that abusing animals is a fun and acceptable thing to do.”
Vulgar Crowd at Parish-Sponsored Pig Abuse
Published on 20 Aug 2014
Animal abuse and child endangerment wasn’t the only thing to find at the St. Patrick Parish Pig “Rassle” event in Stephensville, Wisconsin. Let’s throw in some banter about bestiality and pedophilia for good measure.
David L. Ricken, Bishop of the Green Bay Diocese that oversees St. Patrick Parish, could have stopped this abuse, but chose not to.
You can call the Bishop to let him know what you think at 920-437-7531.
Earlier this month, SHARK released video that showed youths wallowing in mud contaminated by pig urine and excrement as they try to catch a traumatized pig. The video illustrates violations of state anti-cruelty and animal fighting laws, and child neglect laws. Spectators, organizers and participants could be charged with a misdemeanor or felony.
Please contact the Bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay and ask him to hold everyone involved accountable for this travesty.

Spectators, organizers and participants could be charged with misdemeanors and even felonies, but the Outagamie sheriff and district attorney are refusing to do anything.
In fact, Sheriff Bradley Gehring (see picture below) walked in the parade that ended up at the pig abuse event!
The Animal Rights Group Mercy for Animals has leaked a disturbing video documenting animal abuse at a farm that contracts with DiGiorno‘s pizza.
In the clip you can hear a worker grunting as he whips an unresponsive cow.
Matt Rice is the Director of Investigations at Mercy for Animals, the group that put together the video. He told VOR the footage reveals grave abuse.
“Our investigator documented workers viciously kicking, beating, whipping cows in their faces and bodies, and dragging them by their fragile legs and necks using chains attached to a tractor.” Nestle has responded to the story by announcing it will no longer buy milk or cheese from Wiese Brothers Farm in Brown County, Wisconsin.
Rice says there are no federal laws regulating animal treatment on farms.
Unlike domestic pets, farm animals have few if any legal protections. Here’s Matt Rice, who says it’s a really big problem:
“And most states specifically exclude farmed animals from legal protection. Meaning that these farmers are often able to get away with treating thousands or even millions of animals in ways that would warrant felony cruelty charges if even one cat or dog were the victim instead.” Still, “Mercy for Animals” is taking legal action that they’re hopeful will lead to arrests. Wisconsin – unlike many other states – does have some laws protecting its dairy cows. Law enforcement officials are investigating the case.
But still, it won’t necessarily have a big impact.
The group’s only option is to target the low wage workers carrying the whips. They can’t take aim at the farm’s owners or at the multinational corporations the Weise Brothers contract with, like Nestlé.
Gene Baur, President of Farm Sanctuary, says that workers are usually under heavy pressure to do their job. “Often times in these places the workers are pushed just like the animals are pushed. And the workers become frustrated and they resort to cruel treatment of animals. And that’s what we see in this video very plainly.”
And what does Nestlé have to say about the treatment of its work animals? Apparently nothing, as they did not respond to repeated requests from VOR.
So it looks like for now, this might remain the status quo for many factory farms across the country.
Horrific undercover video taken by a Mercy For Animals investigator reveals disgusting animal cruelty at a DiGiorno dairy supplier. Workers kick, beat, and stab cows and drag them by their fragile legs and necks using chains attached to tractors.
“This set of low life imbeciles need to receive the same inhumane treatment they dished out! I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one who would love to whip them across the face, kick & poke them, then hang them upside down by a tractor!”
“Do you think if someone committed this horrific cruelty & abuse to a dog out on the street; they wouldn’t be arrested & charged for animal cruelty?? Of course they would!! I see no reason why it should be any different for workers who abuse farm animals.”
I was disgusted to see undercover video footage of workers kicking, beating, and stabbing cows at a DiGiorno cheese supplier in Wisconsin called Wiese Brothers Farms. The video also shows cows who are too sick or injured to even stand being callously tortured and dragged by their fragile legs and necks with a chain attached to a tractor.
DiGiorno should not tolerate this blatant animal abuse.
DiGiorno has the power and the ethical responsibility to ensure the cows who produce milk for your cheese are protected from needless violence and suffering.
It’s time for DiGiorno to adopt meaningful animal welfare policies for its dairy suppliers, including:
* Zero tolerance for animal abuse
* Requirement that suppliers provide a clean and sanitary environment for cattle
* Proper care and transportation for sick, injured, and downed animals
* Elimination of mutilations without painkillers, including tail docking, a cruel and outdated practice that involves
cutting through the skin, nerves, and bones of cows and is opposed by the American Veterinary Medical Association
Until DiGiorno decides to do the right thing, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
“The video captures workers engaged in numerous serious acts of direct physical abuse and overt brutality—they whip, beat, slap, kick, stab and yell profanity at the cows. … There is a culture of serious neglect and mistreatment of animals in this facility, and the animals are suffering. This must stop.”
Dr. Debra Teachout
“There is no question in my mind, as a veterinarian experienced with farmed animals, including cows, that much of what was being done to the cows was inhumane, brutal and almost certainly a violation of the anti-cruelty statutes of many if not all states.”
Dr. Nedim Buyukmihci
“Dragging live cows, and completely suspending them with the cow lift is severe animal abuse. The actions of these people went beyond rough handling and escalated to the level of cruelty. Kicking, beating, and hard whipping of downed cows is abusive.”
“Rejoice it’s Christmas, go vegetarian; drive past all the cows & other farm livestock in the fields, look them in the eye & say “I don’t eat your family”…It feels GREAT!!!”
Cows are highly intelligent and friendly animals who can form long-lasting, deep bonds of friendship with other cows and even their human caregivers. Cows have extremely complex social groups and tend to choose the herd leaders for their intelligence, experience and good social skills.
Versus:-
Researchers have shown that factory farmed cows kept in groups of more than 200 become stressed and will continually fight for dominance. Having bonds of friendship broken whenever cows are sold to other farms or slaughterhouses also heightens their stress.
============
Much like humans, cows mourn the deaths of those they love. They even shed tears over the loss of friends who are separated from them. The bond between a mother cow and her calf is particularly strong and cows are widely known to cry out for their calves if they go missing.
Versus
Like humans and other mammals, cows only produce milk when they are pregnant or nursing, so the dairy industry keeps cows in a constant cycle of pregnancy and lactation. Newborn calves are dragged away from their mothers within a day of birth so that all of their milk can be sold for profit.
============
Cows are smart and sophisticated animals who can even understand cause-and-effect relationships, which is a sign of advanced cognitive abilities. Not only do cows swiftly figure out solutions to problems, they find the challenge wonderfully exciting.
Versus
The only thing cows on dairy farms learn is that they are likely to be kicked or beaten on their way to the milking parlor two or three times a day. A study by the dairy industry indicates that nearly 40 percent of cows are lame because of intensive confinement, filth and unnaturally high milk production.
This eye-opening video takes you behind the closed doors of America’s factory farms, hatcheries, and slaughterhouses— revealing the journey that animals make from farm to fridge.

Mercy For Animals presents Farm to Fridge. Narrated by Oscar-nominee James Cromwell, this powerful film takes viewers on an eye-opening exploration behind the closed doors of the nation’s largest industrial farms, hatcheries, and slaughter plants — revealing the often-unseen journey that animals make from Farm to Fridge.
One of the most effective techniques for educating others about the health and ethical benefits of a plant-based diet is distributing literature in public places with heavy foot-traffic.
A great thing about leafleting is the lack of preparation time required. Also, at the right time and place, just one person can hand out hundreds of brochures in less than an hour.
We recommend passing out 25 Reasons To Try Vegetarian brochures which you can order from the MFA Literature Store.
Another great idea is to take MFA’s powerful new “Ask Me Why I’m Vegetarian” T-Shirt Challenge — designed to spark crucial discussions about the ways animals raised for food are treated and our moral obligation to alleviate needless suffering.
Here’s how it works:
Order a men’s or women’s cut “Ask Me Why I’m Vegetarian” t-shirt
Wear your new “Ask Me Why I’m Vegetarian” t-shirt with pride.
When someone asks about your shirt, smile and give them a 25 Reasons brochure from the packet you’ve been keeping in your purse or backpack.
Have a friendly discussion about the reasons you went vegetarian.
Pat yourself on the back. You’ve just inspired someone to move toward a compassionate diet.
Wash your shirt.
Reorder literature.
Repeat.
That’s it! By starting conversations and planting seeds of compassion, you’ll be helping to spare countless animals unimaginable suffering. Simple. Effective. Vital.
Click here to order an “Ask Me Why I’m Vegetarian” t-shirt for $25. Your t-shirt order will include a free 10-pack of 25 Reasons brochures. Click here to order more 25 Reasonsbrochures.
While individual vegetarians save lives every time they sit down to eat, we can exponentially increase the number of animals we help by encouraging others to try vegetarian living too.
Since young people tend to be very interested in vegetarianism—and open to change—college campuses and concerts are particularly good places to leaflet.
Need some inspiration? Consider the math:
Let’s be really conservative and assume that only 1% of the people who receive a brochure decide to go vegetarian after reading it. If you pass out 200 leaflets in an afternoon, that’s at least two new people who became vegetarian.
200 leaflets x 1% = 2 new vegetarians
Based on annual slaughter statistics, the average vegetarian saves over 50 animals per year (about 27 land animals, and many more aquatic animals).
If we assume that, on average, those who do go vegetarian stay vegetarian for at least one year, that equates to at least 100 animals saved from just a few hours of leafleting.
2 new vegetarians x 50 animals per year = 100 animals saved per year
Don’t underestimate the power of the pen — or keyboard and mouse! Writing letters to the media, businesses, and legislators is a great way to speak up for animals.
The animals are counting on you. Your actions, your voice, and your volunteering makes a difference. Thank you for having the courage and moral strength to act for animals and be the voice of the voiceless. With your help, we will create a more compassionate world for all beings.
“For centuries, Man & Wolf lived together as they roamed the lands; both respected each other & their personal space. Sure some were killed for their meat or coats…but that was nothing compared to what society kills today in the farming industry; we kill far more than we can really eat…WHY…just because we can!!
“Just watch this poor excuse of a man, (sorry a total knob head) you would think he had struck gold…imbeciles!! What did that wolf ever fxxxxxg do to them? NOTHING!!
“This is nothing but a blood sport!! He caught the wolf with his bullet, but the poor wolf ran for its life; until he had no life left in him…COLD HEARTED KILLERS!!”
Uploaded – December 2012
“Can anyone explain to me WHY these beautiful creatures need to be killed? It’s not for eating, it’s not for clothing as we have both in abundance! NO, THE WOLF IS KILLED PURELY BECAUSE CERTAIN STATES AROUND THE WORLD SAY IT CAN BE…THEREFORE;THOSE THAT TRAP & KILL ANY ANIMAL, DO IT PURELY FOR SPORT OR TROPHY HUNTING. THEY ARE ALL JUST COLD BLOODED KILLERS WHO CALL IT A SPORT…THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES.”
After decades of protection, the American Grey Wolf was just barely back from the brink of extinction in 2011.
But then Congress made a rash decision to de-list wolves from the Endangered Species Act. Now trapping and killing of wolves is legal, and as you can see it being carried out with brutal efficiency. Already, more than half the wolves that roamed the Rockies and mid-west are dead. If we don’t act soon, there will be none left.
You can help stop this – Don’t look away. Sign below and share with friends and family who love the wild things so we can live in a world where wolves, and the wilderness they need to survive, can thrive alongside people.
Video 1. Brutal Wolf Killing – “This is cowardly, the wolf is already caught in a trap, nothing butch or manly about this…which is probably why kids are taught to kill them with guns!! After the wolf is shot…Guy in video says “Ha ha ha ha…that’s the end of her!”
Published on 28 Nov 2012
This video is hard to watch for anyone who’s ever loved wolves or wildlife. but we’re asking you not to look away. Right now in 5 states trapping and killing of wolves like this is totally legal. It’s all because of a rash and ill-informed decision made by Congress. But we need President Obama to act NOW to save the wolves.
“Another video; where the shooter is killing a sentient being, caught in a trap, so it can’t retaliate or even fight for its life…this is just a pathetic blood sport?”
Video 2. Second Wisconsin Wolf Killed;” Listen to the guy talk, as if he just fought off a wild lion…pathetic! Guy in video says “Yes sir, that’s the best thing I ever seen in my life!!”
“Please sign any & all petitions to stop the idiotic killing of an animal that has lived in harmony with man; for centuries!”
“Watch & listen to just a few of the many beautiful songs & videos created by my dear friend & animal warrior; Louise Du Toit. Louise manages to encapsulate the thoughts & feelings of animals, along with the daily struggles they have to endure, against their biggest enemy; man! Enchanting melodies, with an angelic voice, Louise has written many songs along with videos to educate & create public awareness to the plight of animal abuse etc. This is one of my personal favourites; from her album “Ode To Magnificence”
I am wolf, I am the true spirit of nature a perfect creation walking beside you, guiding your senses to see the invisible.
I am a predator, preserving the delicate balance of nature, a sentient being no more evil or righteous than any other creature, born with everything I need to survive.
I am intelligent, courageous, strong, a true survivor, devoted to my family, loyal to my pack, the defender of my territory.
Mankind has chosen me as its enemy, lack of knowledge, brought fear, bred hatred, enveloped in a dark cloud of demonic imagination.
Like countless other earthlings, I am shamelessly persecuted.
My true destination, will only become visible when humans discard their imaginary fear, false legends phantasmal myths, to seek the truth!

“Ode to the Wolves” is an artistic tribute to all wolves, written to raise awareness about the endless atrocities they endure from humans all over the world, with a positive message to support the plight of the wolves and to end their suffering.
“Remember this sick bitch? pleaded not guilty, even though she had a diary of dates & times that she tortured that poor dog, stabbing it & even saying she got pleasure from seeing the dog being hurt. Only her & God know what other vile things she did to that innocent dog…should a person capable of doing the above; be able to walk the streets, perhaps even get another pet?”
“There is only one place she needs to go & that’s Jail! I’ll tell you what, if she gets off with her ‘not guilty plea’ I will stop doing this blog…what’s the point in carrying on if the Judicial system does not see fit to put these unstable sick psychopaths beings behind bars!!”
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – The woman accused of poisoning and stabbing her boyfriend’s dog last summer has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Prosecutors say kept a detailed diary with entries about how she forced the lab-shepherd mix to ingest bleach and drain cleaner, and got pleasure from watching the animal suffer. The dog named Mary died June 4th.
This case has brought animal lovers out in support of stronger penalties for abuse, and efforts to seek the maximum possible penalties for Janas if convicted. “Never mind ‘if’, it will be when she is convicted, she has to be jailed, she is a danger to society as a whole; with a very evil, twisted mind!!
Sean Janas is currently jailed on a $2,500 dollar cash bond. If convicted, she could get five years in prison and over $30,000 in fines. Attorneys for both sides will work out future court appearances during a scheduling meeting later this week.

“I’m personally very comfortable that there is nothing we are proposing that will harm our wolf population in any sustainable sense,” said Tom Hauge, director of the agency‘s Bureau of Wildlife Management, in announcing much anticipated details of the controversial hunt Wednesday.
Wolf caught in hunters trap…Does it look like it hurts??
The agency is required to set up the hunt because of legislation passed earlier this year by the state Legislature. That bill put some details in place that cannot be changed, even by DNR professionals. The season, for example, has to be five months long, beginning Oct. 15. Hunters must be allowed to shoot and trap wolves. They must be allowed to hunt at night with lights and also be able to use dogs. And they must be allowed to bait wolves. “Let me get this right, they can trap wolves, bait them & also use dogs, I for one am shocked! For those that haven’t seen a trap in use…allow me to remind you… see the above picture of a wolf in a hunters trap…this is legal! Well it doesn’t look like it hurts that much…or does it!”
Left to the DNR wildlife managers are details such as how many wolves will be killed and a plan to shut down the hunt when quotas are reached. Hauge said the agency tried to be very conservative in setting quotas by using last year’s population numbers and by setting a success rate of 20 percent for the hunt, meaning that the agency anticipates 20 percent of hunters who buy a license will kill a wolf. Success rates in western states with wolf hunts are in the single digits, Hauge said.
At that success rate, Hauge said, and assuming the final quota statewide is between 142 and 233 wolves, the agency could issue a total of as many as 1,165 wolf hunting licenses. Licenses will cost $100 for residents and $500 for non-residents, plus a $10 application fee.
The DNR’s plan calls for three wolf hunting zones with different quotas in each. The three zones include a primary core area where the fewest number of wolves would be killed, a secondary management area on the fringe of the forested regions where a moderate number of animals would be killed, and so-called “unsuitable” areas in the northeastern and northwestern part of the state as well as southern Wisconsin where the largest numbers of wolves would be killed.
“I don’t know that we’re talking about eliminating wolves in those areas,” Hauge said, “but we don’t want to favor them either.”
“If you go to the link below, read the comments!!”
“Watch this video to see how cruel trapping is…makes me sick! However, judging by the gay music, it’s no different to doing their grocery shopping… not a care for the beautiful sentient beings whose lives they have taken…a fun family day out… killing!”
Wisconsin is on the fast track to legalize wolf hunting. Both the State Senate and Assembly committees have approved bills to be put to a vote soon. With the current legislative session ending March 15, 2012 it is imperative to let them know you do notwant wolves to be hunted and killed in Wisconsin.
AB512 and SB411 propose killing wolves through firearms, bows and arrows, crossbows, baiting, trapping and clubbing trapped wolves to death as well as the use of dog packs for tracking and trailing.
